Have been using it as a Soft plastics Kayak rod and have found it brilliant for the money. Perfect length for a kayak rod. And equipment usually gets a hard time in a kayak. So having cheap equipment that works is a good thing. Have landed snook up to 70cms and salmon around the 40cm mark with no problem. I do pair it up with a good Shimano reel tho.

I got this rod last year. Has caught me plenty of fish. Caught a 86 cm flathead with it and a 67 cm trev
caught a massive flatty but lost it caught he snapped ma leader
