I switched to J.B. after several bad experiences with Jack & was so happy I did. 40+ years later Beam is still the only bourbon that is always in my home. I was very surprised to find Beam was #1 for the general public even though I knew it was the working man's bourbon as most people can get to a BAL of .20% without the evil morning after effects which is of major importance to me plus its a smooth whiskey with no aftertaste, its the same start to finish which is another feature of the brand I find appealing.

Jim Beam bourbon is tasty with notes of caramel and vanilla. There is a slight hint of spices too, but they're in no way overpowering. If anything l, I'd like a slightly more concentrated flavour with a bit more depth. I tried it with sugar free cola and it was perfectly refreshing.
