I used this in rotation with the Divine Cream, never immediately before. Why? Allow me to explain: The instructions state to use after the extract and just before using the cream, however I have absolutely no idea how a skin-occluding oil blend with no less than 12 different oils (some of which do not readily absorb into the epidermis) in it can be followed by a cream - it just wouldn't absorb much, if at all. To use after the extract = no problem, but to use after the oil = money down the drain! Anyhow the way I managed to fit this into my routine was as follows: I used a couple of drops after cleansing/toning every 2nd night i.e Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat. I liked the fact that the Youth Oil did not break me out, however I did not see much in the way of positive changes in my skin. It added a little bit of glow, likely due to the Immortelle extract in it, as I noticed exactly the same thing in another serum I use, which also contains Immortelle. And that one delivers much more noticeable results...in less time and at a fraction of the cost! I do love many of L'occitane's products but this isn't one of them! -- My Top 10 Beauty Must-Haves

Women of a certain age don't get the whole oil thing going on in Beautyville. Anyone over 40, even 35, was brought up to want to get rid of the excess oil on our faces that zitted us up. You'd think a good moisturizer would take care of that, but not always, which is why so many of us are always on the prowl for the next good product that works.I bumped into L'occitane's Youth Oil in one of their stores, and the first thing I fell in love with is the smell. (I adore scents of all kinds and the heavier, the better, so take that into consideration when judging whether my experience would be right for you.)I use a wide variety of products, many of which are anti aging. The ones I use at night would conflict with this, so I use it in the morning. Understand, though, how an oil is to be used. After I wash my face, I put this on - just a few drops and pat it in. Then I go make coffee, get my clothes ready for work, etc. I come back, put on my moisturizer, then go drink coffee and have breakfast. Then when everything's all absorbed, I go to town on my makeup. That's the secret: put this on a clean face, pat it in and let it get absorbed (takes a few minutes), THEN put on your moisturizer. This is not a substitute for a moisturizer! It's very lightweight, and generally speaking, you layer on face preparations in the order of how heavy they are (this goes before the moisturizer.)I've been using it for over a month, and I love how it makes my skin look so much nicer, glowy and healthy. I love the bottle and the eyedropper, too. I mention that because it looks lovely on my dressing table, and that may be one more reason to add to the list of reasons for buying it. It is a very good oil, but IMHO, it's way overpriced.I can see this in the $70 range, but topping $100? Noooooo! So why do I recommend it? Well, I really am that much in love with how it smells and how it makes my skin look. But the truth is that I probably could find something in the new range of skin oils that would do a similar job or a better one, and probably at a better price point. But as I said, I love the way it smells. It'll be a good long while before i have to confront whether to replace it, because while this is pricey, it really does last forever.

(Not the exact product is pictured but I have used it, the serum I’m writing about is also from the L’Occitane Immortelle line, it wasn’t listed on the app) I love that this crème serum replenishes dry hands. It keeps my hands feeling clean and hydrated going to bed after a busy day, it could even be applied in the morning. it’s a great moisturizer and keeps my skin feeling youthful. I’ve had the container a few months and still have a substantial amount left. I recommend to anyone wanting to minimize appearance of wrinkles, and to keep aging skin hydrated. Most luxurious scent ever oh my goodness. Super light weight and doesn’t feel greasy. Overall excellent product. 💛

I normally use Retinol but during the summer I rest my skin. I decided to try the Immortelle range and love it so far. I bought the eye cream serum this oil and the moisturiser in cream form and love all of the products so far. They feel beautiful on the skin gliding effortlessly and the smell is beautiful. I'm fussy about texture preferring something that feels like it's on my skin - not too heavy but not too light and this is it. For an oil it sinks into my skin - I'm 55 with normal skin luckily not dry or flaky but this just makes my skin feel so hydrated. I don't believe in the power of creams or oils to reduce or eliminate wrinkles (science background and logic on top!) but I do believe that hydrated skin via food and water and assisted by good skincare ... MoreI normally use Retinol but during the summer I rest my skin. My retinol routine has proven results and is supported by my dermatologist. This feels nice but I'm not convinced it will turn back time. Not sure I would buy again.
It seems counterintuitive but this oil has helped my acne prone skin so much! I do not get breakouts anymore. Now that my skin is properly hydrated it looks so much healthier! Highly highly recommend! For a long time I thought my skin was oily since I was prone to breakouts. After using this oil combined with the moisturizer I have seen a massive improvement in my skin. No more breakouts or eczema patches. Nothing but soft, smooth skin. I am in my late 30s and have become a life-long customer.
Love this product. I use it after cleansing at night and in the morning. I then add a moisturizer to my face. My skin always feels so silky and the fragrance is one that is so pleasant. When I'm without it I will try others and ultimately return to this Immortelle Divine. I have a new beautiful bottle to open tonight. It is a treat for me from myself for completing another tax season. I'm in my early 80's but still look pretty good as I'm told and this product helps to keep me looking good.
After using the Immortelle Divine range for all steps of my skincare regime over the last few years - and absolutely loving everything about it - I bought Youth Oil as a 49th birthday gift to myself, along with Harmony serum. The Divine products were winding the clock back on all areas of my face... except around my mouth, Those wrinkles were really stubborn, thanks to a long career of heavy smoking. I finally got rid of the ciggies but the wrinkles remained. My gorgeous L'Occitane store consultant, who feels like a close friend, suggested I use the Harmony serum as a spot treatment with it's more powerful anti-aging ingredients. I finally got rid of the ciggies but the wrinkles remained. My gorgeous L'Occitane store consultant, who feels like a close friend, suggested I use the Harmony serum as a spot treatment with it's more powerful anti-aging ingredients. It came with a significantly higher price tag than the Immortelle Reset Serum I was using (and overall very happy with), so she said I should consider investing in Youth Oil instead, or, ideally, as well, and mix a couple of drops with the Harmony Serum to make it go further. Being so in love with all of the products she'd recommended previously, I decided to take her advice again. And I'm so glad I did! Yes, it was an investment, but wow! Youth Oil is amazing - beautiful to use and gives you results both instantly and in the longer term. Straight away the oil melts right in and leaves your skin feeling satiny and plumped, and it absolutely glows! I rarely wear makeup and people who know me very well, my mum for instance, have asked me if I'm wearing foundation and blush. I don't understand the chemistry behind how this oil flushes your cheeks pink, but I love it! It feels so light on your skin yet gives such intense and lasting hydration. During the day if I'm looking tired or need a lift, I pat a little into my cheeks, even thru makeup, and it gives me that bright flushed look you have when you've just got out of the shower. It's definitely a 5 star product, ticks all the usual boxes, but is also incredibly versatile. There are endless ways of incorporating Youth Oil into your skin care regime. Can't live without it now! Highly recommend!!

Why does skincare companies always think that it's a great idea to scent their products?I used this with the cream and love them. The only problem is the scent. The scent is nice but it drives me crazy and give me a headache after a while. It irritates my skin resulting in red bumps that itches. This causes me to scratch them in my sleep, which results in broken skin. For those with less sensitive skin and nose, these products can greatly benefit them. Unfortunately, this will be my last buy.
Love love love!!! I have been using this in my daily skincare routine for about 5 years - it’s amazing!! I have normal/dry skin and I am 52 years old. After cleansing, I put a few drops on my skin and gently massage it all over my face until it is completely absorbed. You don’t need a lot - two drops for one side of my face, two drops for the other side. Then I apply imortelle divine crème and gently massage in until absorbed. I’ve never had a problem with it looking slick or not absorbing - my skin always looks hydratedI usually wait about 5 min before applying makeup over it - I style my hair then anyway so I’m not wasting time during the waitThese are my daily go-to products and have been for years - love love love!!!!
