I am thrilled that @BzzAgent gave me the opportunity to try this amazing fragrance complimentary in return for my honest review. This perfume is one of the best I’ve smelled this summer. Lancôme Idole Aura is my new favorite fragrance. From the first few spritzes I fell in love with this gorgeous and sophisticated scent. The three main notes are Sunny Rose, Salted Vanilla and White Jasmine. This fragrance is sure to brighten up your day with it’s beautiful floral notes. The fragrance itself is a long lasting eau de parfum and a little goes a long way. I only used a few spritzes behind my ears and on my wrists and hours later I was still able to smell it on myself. It is described as a sun kissed floral scent and that is quite accurate. I

When I first smelled it I immediately thought it smelled like watermelon! Then I used it throughout last summer and I started to detect the florals and the other notes. Aura can fit the bill for all of those things, but I'd grab this over any of the other two if I was just wearing jeans and a t-shirt which is pretty much what I wear on a day to day basis. So while my favorite scent is the the original Idôle, I have to say I probably reached for Aura the most so far because it's the most casual. I think if I had more outings/events going on in my life, I'd lean more towards the other two. I will say I'm not really a fan of the bottle. The thinness doesn't bother me....it's the white part that's on the back of the perfume. In direct light looks lovely and ethereal, but when it's not hitting the light....it just looks like a white spray paint stripe across the bottle. Not my favorite.

The scent has a sort of uplifting effect thanks to the strong fruity top notes - I could imagine spritzing this at the start of a productive day. Admittedly I still like the Nectar rendition the best, as I feel the vanilla here more easily falls to the background. The Nectar is a much more sweet and decadent scent that I believe suits me just a tad better. This perfume is a staple for any Lancôme fan - the perfect way to start this calendar!

This perfume smells like roses. It smells fruity and sweet and almost like a perfumed face powder from the 80s and 90s. It’s a pleasing and inoffensive smell. Safe. I like it but the more I wear it, the more I find myself wishing for something with a little more umph, a little more personality. I can barely smell it after a few hours so the staying power isn’t great. Lastly, I am not a fan of the bottle. It’s awkward and can’t stand on its own so I have to lay it down flat which takes up a lot of space. I don’t know if being the thinnest perfume bottle is something I would feel the need to be, but you do you, Lancôme. Omg!!!!! I ordered this perfume during the recent sale and I had to come straight here to write a review. I have been so disappointed in all perfumes lately, they smell old, fruity, yucky, and too heavy, and worst of all don’t last. This Idole is an absolute MASTERPIECE!!!! My husband said it was really nice and he never comments lately because they all are just so cheap smelling. Alright, but won’t purchase again

This fragrance definitely smelled better in store. I tried it on myself a few times before I purchased and idk what happened but it definitely smells more musky then when I previously wore it :/ it smells older, and it’s a little off putting because it looks and sounds like a more youthful fragrance but it does have it’s good moments. The packaging was disappointing because when I opened the shipping box my actual perfume box was completely opened and deconstructed with the bottle totally exposed. I figured since my bottle was engraved this is the reason, but regardless it should have been put back together properly before shipping. For this being a higher end brand I must say it was disappointing, however customer service was really great about this issue tho and definitely made the experience better by sending me a new bottle replacement. I probably won’t be purchasing Idole EDP again, but I loveeee Idole Aura and will be purchasing again. Overall, this fragrance I believe fits a more mature woman that enjoys a musky floral scent.
