I received this as a sample, but have seen the bottle of this perfume and love the square shape which could be placed on a vanity for aesthetic purposes because it's stunning! I personally don't love the smell of rose, but anyone else who likes a rare, unique, sweet, yet seductive fragrance that is definitely long wearing will fall in love with this perfume! Upon reading about this IDOLE AURA Fragrance from Lancome, it had Salted Vanilla!! How interesting instead of regular vanilla, there is a definite difference you can smell and I recommend you try this because it's very summery, florally, but has these layers of salty and sweet which make for a beautiful combination! You have your roses as the florally summery scent, then this perfume is bound together between seductive jasmine, and it opens up into this shift between a salted vanilla which is almost a musky vanilla that lays nicely within the sweet and spicy category which I really like in a fragrance!

Lancôme Idole Aura is my new favorite fragrance. From the first few spritzes I fell in love with this gorgeous and sophisticated scent. The three main notes are Sunny Rose, Salted Vanilla and White Jasmine. This fragrance is sure to brighten up your day with it’s beautiful floral notes. The fragrance itself is a long lasting eau de parfum and a little goes a long way. I only used a few spritzes behind my ears and on my wrists and hours later I was still able to smell it on myself. As the olfactory cherry on top, this fragrance melts with the warmth of sun-kissed rose petals upon a decadent base of salted Bourbon Vanilla and musks. There is a clean and crisp dryness to this perfume, like the warm salty air of a desert wind. I actually really enjoy the smell of this fragrance, as it is simple and doesn’t require any one specific personality to wear it. The olfactory trail mostly focuses on the salty rose essence as it cleans the air and paves the way for newfound clarity. The fragrance was inspired by the idea of each person realizing their fullest potential in order to make a lasting impact on the world. To me, this fragrance says “Get up! Your time is now!” A great mood-boosting perfume!

I bought this size once, 2 of the .85 and 2 of the 1.7 oz and this is the perfume I repurchased the most of all the perfumes I owned/used. It lasts really good, fresh, little floral, citrus and musky with vanilla. It doesn’t affect me some perfumes give me migraines. I really enjoy this perfume. I keep in my drawer, box or a cosmetic bag so it lasts long and away from the sunlight. I don’t understand why people complain about the bottle. Bottles of perfume should be in box away from sunlight. The perfume should be about the smell, not the bottle. It’s a simple fresh, floral, citrus and musky perfume with vanilla. Since wearing it, she said she has gotten lots of compliments on it from both men and women and also indicated that this perfume lasts all day and actually stays just as strong at the end of the day as it did from when she first sprayed it on. The price currently here at 108 dollars is a bit high as I found this size in a gift set currently selling at Macys for 82 bucks.Other than the price here, this perfume from a husbands perspective is 5 stars.
