We LOVED our SwaddleUp Lite for our little one, so when she outgrew it I knew I’d be buying the next size up. She seemed immediately soothed once zipped up, and I had the peace of mind that she was comforted, comfortable, and that she couldn’t scratch her face or wake herself up, etc. We live in FL, which is why I chose the Lite version to begin with. However, I noticed she sleeps better when she’s warmer and we keep it pretty cool at night (we ended up using the Lite during the day for naps and a different swaddle at night). So when it came time to buy, I thought I’d grab this version - a bit warmer and organic (we only buy organic clothing for her). So far she doesn’t like it as much. The fabric is not nearly as soft as the Lite version, it’s a bit scratchy. Also, the Medium size is longer overall than her Small size, but the elbow-to-fist measurement seems to be the same, which means her arms, which have gotten longer as well, don’t seem comfortable - compounded by the fact that it’s also not as stretchy as the Lite version. I wonder if the large size has a longer arm measurement and if that was the case, I’d skip the Medium altogether and go for the Large. We’re going to keep trying with her in this version but if I could go back in time I’d probably stick with the Lite version (super soft, stretchy) and perhaps buy the Large size. 9wks 10lbs 11oz and 23 inches when I felt the Small size was too small.

I didn’t get this specific one but love to dream swaddlers are BETTER THAN SLICED BREAD!!! I got a few Halo swaddlers at my shower and my son hated them. He would cry every single time I put one on him. I eventually ditched them and tried a few other options. These swaddlers are the BEST thing I have purchased for my baby ! He sleeps comfortably and through the night in these! I without a doubt would 100% recommended this to anyone and everyone! Love love LOVE them! They are pricey but worth it.

We absolutely love these Love To Dream swaddles! I wished I had it for my first child as I always struggled to swaddle her with traditional blankets. The fabric is soft and breathable, and does not cause overheating, which is important to me. It is so easy to swaddle and it is impossible for my little one to break free from. I like that the fabric is stretchy and my baby can stretch his legs and arms when he wakes up. From the first day my baby son has slept with his arms up and I hated to bind his arms with traditional swaddling. These Love To Dream swaddles allow him to sleep with his arms up and still keeps him snug – I love to watch him sleep so peacefully. Doesn't work...
30 July 2022

This is the first time I have to get up in the middle of the night after my baby boy is able to sleep the whole night. It is more expensive than the original one and it doesn't do its job... The material is too thin and too stretchy... Just stick with the original gray one if you like this type of swaddle blanket. In my experience, halo blanket which allows the baby arms stay with the body works much better than this ones... Disappointed!

I want to give this 5 stars & say I love it but I don’t know. I purchased the original one for my daughter & she loves sleeping in this swaddle since birth. I’ve tried Happiest Baby, Halo, SwaddleMe, & none of them worked for her. I love this because she quickly gets zipped up, it’s snug at the hips, her arms are free to move upwards which is their natural sleeping position anyways, zipper is two way, & my baby loves biting on the ends where her hands are. I wish they put a teething toy there, but I’m ok without it. I’ll try the transition one after this one. The reason I gave it a 3 star is because the fabric is too stretchy. When my daughter stretches her arms, she also stretches the top opening which tightens the front & back & I don’t know if that’s safe. I’m not sure how to explain it but that’s what it does. I’ll be purchasing more as gifts and my other babies, but not the silky lux ones.

Ineffective for our baby
5 April 2022

A lot of baby items are hopeful attempts at securing baby while addressing things such as startle response and fussiness. My 1 month old didn’t care for it though she seems to prefer a hands up sleeping position. It’s very well constructed. The Jersey fabric is soft and considerably thinner than the fleece swaddle she is used to. I noticed a definite difference between the “securing” aspect of this swaddle and our fleece - normal wrap - version. This doesn’t secure baby as much and as a result allows for excess movement that my baby struggles with while trying to get to sleep and staying that way. This is not to say that this swaddle won’t be appropriate for a later stage in my baby’s development. She current is 21.5 inches and 9.7lbs. It may work for your baby though.

Lifesaver!
8 July 2020

After trying several types of swaddles for our first born, we decided to try the Love to Dream, and it was a life saver. He slept so good that we ended up purchasing another couple swaddles every time he grew! One of the things we loved most about this swaddle is the zipper that zips from both ends. Most other swaddles have to be completely undone for middle of the night diaper changes, but this one can be opened from the bottom and quickly zipped back up. We are now expecting baby #2 and have added the silky lux to our collection. The material feels a little bit thinner than the original, but they are both 1.0 TOG. It is much softer and seems like it has a little more give than the original. Lightweight Fabric
5 July 2020

First, the good. The Love To Dream Transition Bag is made from really lightweight material, so it's good for anyone that keeps their house warm or lives in a warm climate. We live in Florida and the baby didn't get overheated or anything like that. It has a zipper closure, perfect for nighttime diaper changes and getting squirmy babies to bed. The medium is for babies 13-19 pounds, and the little arm wings come off. The pattern is neutral enough for a boy or a girl and overall, it's a well-made product. The size/length seems just about right for a 13-19 pound baby. The arm wings are the reason I'm rating this sleep sac as "average". Because now you have the task of remembering where you put the wings if you want to use them sometimes, but not other times or if you want to save the sleep sack for a future baby. maybe wings that fold down and velcro or button to the sack would be a better idea? I'm sure someone crafty could easily fix the only issue with this sleep sack and then it would be perfect.

Love it!

I’ve swaddled each of my little ones from birth until about 15 months. My first newborn was swaddled in a baby blanket that never stayed put. Then I tried a zippered-type sleep sack to much success. With my current newborn, we decided to start straight with this Love to Dream Swaddle Up. He fits nice and snug in this and I love that he can position his arms up. My newborn weighs just over 8 pounds so I started him on the size small. Equivalent to a stage 1, the size small fits babies 8-13 pounds. He fits comfortably zipped up with enough leg room below. The fabric is incredibly soft, stretchy and very breathable. I love how the 2 way zipper flows smoothly and never catches. Worth the purchase!
8 November 2021

My newborn son hated being wrapped in muslin wraps and would release his arms out of frustration. We then tried having him sleep without being wrapped and he would awake due to the startle reflex. Then I did some research and other parents recommended the Love to Dream swaddles that allow babies to have their arms up while sleeping. Since buying this swaddle, my baby has been sleeping better. He isn't frustrated as this swaddle allows him to keep his arms up and he isn't awoken from the startle reflex. Definitely worth the purchase! It also has a double zip - top and bottom which is convenient when changing nappies at night time.
