I wouldn't bother, I only had my rope for two and a half months before it core shot at one end. I wouldn't say I whipped on it that hard or that many times; I've definitely had older ropes where I've taken much bigger falls and many more of them and they have had no way near this level of damage.In fact, this is my second Mammut rope I am disappointed with, and had a friend who had the sheath tear on his first use of the rope on an abseil. I won't be buying Mammut ropes again, which is a shame as I really like Mammut.

Best coated rope around

It’s really not very impressionable, and incoils beautifully. The dry coating have been tested…much to my chagrin…last week when I got caught on a pretty long single ish pitch climb by a pretty flash storm. The rope soaked up very little water and dryed out nicely in the garage once’s I hung it up. Great rope great company, definitely my go to! Plus it comes in hot pink :)

Fantastic Rope for Alpine Climbing

After using this rope for several traditional and sport climbing trips and glacier travel, I can only say fantastic things about this rope. Excellent weight for its diameter, not prone to stiffening up, and always offers a soft catch. This rope is great for rappelling due to its diameter and length. When lowering a climber, this rope easily travels through a belay device will also easily stopping a fall or giving a climber a rest. After several lead falls, this rope feels brand new. I can’t wait to use this rope for several seasons of climbing.

Fantastic quality from Mammut as usual..

I bought a 70m and a gym rope as well. All have the shared quality and ttreliability The rope acts as described and is great to use. I am trusting it with my life and therefore have an extremely high degree of scrutiny in the quality of gear that I use. This rope meets all of the criteria I’m looking for. It’s slick but catches in devices well. It feeds well and doesn’t get twisted on belays even as a new rope. Even the little things like the look of the rope is helpful. High contrast is nice

Favorite Rope Ever

I have the duodess color version but non the less the rope incredible. It has a great texture and feel to the hand and it’s super easy to manipulate to tie into anything. Taking whips on it is super nice and soft not matter how the belayer belays. Since I have the duodess version half the rope is a candy cane pattern while the other is speckled so it’s super easy to tell which side you using when on top rope and when multi-pitching it helps keep the rope nice and tidy when all belaying from top.

Great rope

This is a nice supple rope that resists hanging up. Knots are easy to tie, and the dual color pattern makes it a cinch to find the midpoint for a quick rappel setup. I have the 60m length which is perfect for the pitches I climb in the Cascades. As for durability, I only have one climbing season on the rope, but it still looks like new. Not too heavy and it has a dry finish! I definitely recommend.

I have loved this rope

I've had this rope for over a year now. It's been with me to Devil's Tower, The Needles South Dakota, multiple trips to Red Rocks Nevada, and many local crags in Southern Utah. I haven't experienced the kinks and fraying other reviewers mentioned. In fact, the rope shows surprisingly little wear. My main use has been multipitch trad, but I've also used it for top roping the kids on sport routes. The bicolor has been useful for rope management, and is great for setting up quicker rappels. I'd buy it again.

This rope is super light

This rope is super light and repels dust and sand super well. I climb exclusively outdoors and i am amazed at how well this has stood up. I have had other ropes that after a few months of not being washed turn your hands black and are all dirty. This think is almost as clean as new. Super stoked to keep using it. I got the 70 meter allowing me to do some longer multipitch climbs. The light weight makes it nice for that.

My home falls within a very wet climate, and most of the walls in my area can be climbed comfortably with a 60m rope.So far after one year of moderate-heavy use the rope is doing quite well. I inspect it regularly and it does not show any heavy damage. The dry seal has also held up well. Many ropes are "dry" but do not meet UIAA standards, this one does.My next rope will be a 70m and I will likely buy something in the 9.8-10.0mm range. I plan on doing this so that I will have a rope to use on longer trad pitches, where it will get beaten up a lot. But as of now I plan to stick with Mammut. best rope ever

cute hot and sexy rope. can go up with it! can go down with it! its pink the whole time! theres middle of the rope somewhere, its over there probably but medium rope management skill make that just fine. too much rope for folks on their first, but if you get into tall trad, and shenanegans, this may just be your magic carpet. dry works for dusty conditions too, get one if your ropes get dirty fast and ur cranky abt that, way faster to dry aswell
