Day one, I walked two miles. Day two about 5 - really comfortable. Since then I have developed discomfort on the left side of my left ankle because the tongue digs in I think. Loosening the laces helps. I do hope this is not a permanent problem, as they are such a good fit otherwise! If the discomfort continues, I will be in touch, but I would appreciate this review being logged against my order today please and advice on any recourse if the problem continues. Thanks. Chris Drake

I did not like the one sided opening of the shoe, perhaps I am not used to it. It felt a bit more like made from plastic. I am comparing it with Meindel GTX hiking shoes that have more refinement of the fabric and wear more comfortably. The shoe is a bit narrow, not comfortable with wider feet. Perhaps a half size larger would be more comfortable but need to wear it with heavy socks. Perhaps it would do better when its broken-in. I decided to return it.

The shoe has a nice fit. The opening for the foot is quite tight, but once you have the shoe on, it’s very comfortable. The shoe is lightweight, but sturdy. The outsole has good grip, also on a wet track with stones. I’ve tried them in a 1-hour shower and my feet were still dry. Only the laces are not easy to tie. They went loose during the hike. Maybe they’re slippery from being new and that they get loose easily. We’ll see in the future if that improves.

It’s my first Mammut boot but not my last. I ordered my normal size 11 and it was too tight in both length and width. 11.5 was perfect. I was worried because my foot is a bit wide, but the 11.5 was fine in both width and length. Loved how easy Mammut made returning the shoes. Top notch products and service.
These are really comfortable to wear. I went on a hike as soon as I received them, and did not have any break in period. They also breathe pretty well for Gore Tex shoes. The mono-tongue feels a bit strange at first but I got used to it after walking for 5 minutes. Will have to see if they are durable, but so far they feel like a great purchase.
Very nice and very comfortable hiking shoes. Low in weight and a very well shaped inner footsole. Excellent grip with the Vibram outer sole. According to your size chart, I needed a size 43. But in reality I definitely needed a size 44. So I guess the fit is rather small. I had checked the size upfront in a shop.
When ordering my hiking shoes I wasn’t sure about the fit so called Mammut who advised me to order 2 different sizes then use the free return on the pair that didn’t fit. I duly did that almost 2 weeks ago. I then track my return and see that it was safely delivered but I’ve heard nothing from Mammut. I phone and am told that it could take 3 weeks to deal with my return due to COVID-19. It’s amazing how some companies use the pandemic to their advantage, no problems in taking new orders and new income but has a major impact on refunds! Very convenient and so unimpressive, it says a lot about the Mammut’s client service ethic. The pair that I kept are great!
I bought these after reading the reviews of lightweight boots from a variety of online sources. I was a little worried about the fit after reading that it fits a size smaller, my usual fit is a uk 9 with a broad fitting, in this size they fit me perfectly. First outings were in the Pyrenees below the snow line. These boots are comfortable with good support and excellent grip and they are light in weight but do not feel flimsy. This review is written after one week of use, I am confident they will continue to impress due to the quality build and innovative design.
Excellent material choice and construction but size is bit smaller and narrower than American standard size.Just wish the manufacture page to clarify the sizing guidance including clothing line-up.Besides that, I strongly support the brand for the commitment in quality and stylish design.
Best hiking shoe I have ever worn.Amazing support and comfortable.Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the service given from Snowys.Rude and simply no understanding for the customers needs.
