High quality shoes, exceptionally comfortable, lightweight and with great support throughout. They feel very stable underfoot. Very plain, understated, bling-free design, despite the high-tech spec, and can be worn for serious walking, leisure pursuits or even to work. Worth the money.

I wanted to buy these in a store. they didnt have them in 3 go outdoors stores I visited. so I had to get a friend to go online to order these for me. not a very good set up if they only stock size 7 and 11. they didnt arrive before I needed to use them.

2nd GTX Mammut

Bought another pair as the pair I wear every day are getting to the end of their life.Honestly the best shoes I’ve ever bought for every day use. Comfortable, functional and waterproof. Can’t complain

Broke in the first week.

These shoes ripped at the ankle in the first week and all the foam and stuffing came out. It is in the same spot on both the left and the right.Very disappointed.Otherwise the shoes are comfortable, just falling apart.

Good at first

I did a lot of research to find the best walking shoes and for the first few walks these shoes are light and comfortable. But I covered a twenty mile walk and the shoes pinched so badly I ended up with black toe nails on both small toes. I have since removed the liners and now have no arch support, making walking distance a pain. Not sue if I have odd feet but but have no problem with a lot cheaper shoes. I little disappointed.

Not a good quality

Already second pair and the shoes and again started squeaking after a few months. The heel gum is falling apart. Not the Mammut quality I expected.

Not so Mammut

Not exactly the Mammut quality I expected. Shoes are light and very comfortable at the beginning but after some time the upper part where the laces are starts to pinch and I have to untie laces to relieve the pressure. The back part of the shoe above the heel started to tear apart after a year.

Ultimate Pro Low GTX

I was looking for a waterproof shoe because we were on a hiking expedition in southern Oregon where it rained every day, and the Ultimate Pro Low GTX kept my feet dry. The only downside to that shoe is the lack of cushioning in the footbed. I tried a different insole, but that caused the shoe to be too tight on my feet.

Waiting to really put them to work.

My previous Mammut were excellent and it is my hope that these will do as well. First impressions are that they do not feel quite so sturdy and, if this is due to improved materials and maintained performance I feel sure that I will be delighted. The next 6 months will tell.

excellent shoes

Very light, easy to wear, waterproof, great feeling. Very happy with my purchase. Snug, on the very first wear no issues. Very good laces, they keep in place and properly tightened the shoes over time.
