These shoes ripped at the ankle in the first week and all the foam and stuffing came out. It is in the same spot on both the left and the right.Very disappointed.Otherwise the shoes are comfortable, just falling apart.
Never worn Mammut shoes before, other half has owned a pair of Mammut walking boots for a few years and loves them. Now I understand why. These shoes fit like a glove but offer so much support and flexibility. They are so different to any other walking shoes I've owned. They feel like quality, look fantastic and have been a joy to wear so far.

Great shoes, but I noticed after the first walk already that on the textile in the heels (left/right of the middle stitch) little balls of sock is forming which cannot be removed easily. My old conveys and Mercurys to this day still don’t have that after years of everyday wear. Not very confident of how that will evolve with time.
I was looking for a waterproof shoe because we were on a hiking expedition in southern Oregon where it rained every day, and the Ultimate Pro Low GTX kept my feet dry. The only downside to that shoe is the lack of cushioning in the footbed. I tried a different insole, but that caused the shoe to be too tight on my feet.
My previous Mammut were excellent and it is my hope that these will do as well. First impressions are that they do not feel quite so sturdy and, if this is due to improved materials and maintained performance I feel sure that I will be delighted. The next 6 months will tell.
Very light, easy to wear, waterproof, great feeling. Very happy with my purchase. Snug, on the very first wear no issues. Very good laces, they keep in place and properly tightened the shoes over time.
