I had a pair of the original Griffon bindings - and used them on a heli-ski trip. It was a nightmare getting into the bindings in deep soft snow. I actually had to have assistance from the guides almost every time we got out of the chopper. These are the next generation Griffons, which came as a package with some new skis I bought. I read that the heel mechanism was redesigned to make them easier to get into in soft snow - which alone tells me Marker knew they had a problem to fix. They are definitely easier than the originals, but still harder to get into then the Salomon Wardens I have on my other skis. I’m not sure what makes a great binding. Mostly I want safety, durability and ease of use. Fortunately I do not fall often. But the binding has always worked to prevent injury when I do. At 73 my bones and joints are susceptible to injury. Fortunately, none has occurred with the Marker Griffon As for ease of use the binding has always been easy to get in and out of while standing upright.

This is the 3rd time that I have purchased the Marker Griffon 13D bindings for my skis. They have always been very reliable and I have never had any sudden unexpected binding releases. They also come at a great value. My kids (son and daughter) also have these bindings on their skis. I highly recommend these bindings.

I started skiing over 30 years ago, and have ridden lots of gear over the years. These are top notch in my opinion. I bought mine at the beginning of last year's season. Excellent hold when you want your skis to stay on, but reliable release when you push a bit past your limits and eat snow. They have a good range of DIN settings to suite a newer skier, but you can crank them down hard if you prefer to keep them in place. For the bang for your buck, it would be hard to go wrong with the Marker Griffon 13's. I have mine mounted on Nordica Soul Rider 97's. It's been a really good match for riding everything from back country trails to bumps and jumps and a little park action. Overall, I'm very pleased with them.
Only 1 day so far on these new bindings, though I've skied Marker bindings for 20+ years. I've mounted them to Nordica Enforcer 100s. Lightweight, easy to get in and out, and seem secure. No unexpected releases so far, skied double black bowls, trees, moguls, and high speed runs on the black groomers. Easy to roll the Nordicas on edge, even with 100 mm under foot.Metal scraper on the top of the toe piece to clear the bottom of your boots is a nice touch#sweepstakes
Read many good reviews on Marker Griffon 13 ID Ski Bindings and paired them w/ DPS Pagoda 112 RP Skis. Haven’t tried them yet but they feel well made and I like that they’re on the lighter side. I have used Marker Bindings for years on my skis. The Marker Griffon 13 is a lightweight rugged metal binding that looks great on any ski due to the wide selection of color options available in the line. Be sure to get bindings at least 10mm wider than the waist width of your skis so they pair well. I have read comments about how hard they are to get in and out of, but that has never been my experience with them. Great binding!

I had previously been a die-hard Saloman bindings guy but all of the rental and demo skis I used had Marker Bindings on them. I looked at Saloman's line but I guess I just got comfortable with the Marker and opted for them for my new skis. I don't have anything to compare them to so I'll just say that they are great looking and so far they do the job well. I also purchased a pair for my wife's new skis and I'm afraid that might not have been the right choice for her. She is 5'5" tall and 130#. She has a difficult time stepping into the bindings and getting the heel piece to click in. Other than that difficulty for her, I think the Griffon 13D is a great, well made binding and I expect mine to last for many many years.
These ski bindings have a great step in that felt much more natural than my prior bindings! Functions as intended - aka do nothing but lock me in place. I ski All-Mountain style with little to no-focus on ultralight needs of skinning up backcountry so I have no opinion for these.Release is simple enough without risking the bending or breaking of my ski poles.Great installation by EVO team for a small discount.All around very pleased. Especially when buying via their online shop for a timely seasonal discount. Non-essential bonus points for being able to color match to my skis which always makes you ski .00282% better haha!
I picked up the skis from the shop and when we returned home we noticed the top skin of the ski was scarred. When we took them back to the store the employee was reluctant to take them on a return. The employee eventually agreed and I was able to get a full refund. The skis should have never made to the store after the mounting work. I made the purchase of the new set elsewhere because of this. I've always like your operation and have bought soft goods, boot fitting, etc. Typically the employees are great, too. This was an unfortunate experience that I figured L9 needed a review.
