Except for the ripped area at the side fabric of the shoe, every other part has lasted amazingly well. But this has compromised the waterproofness.

I have a hard time finding shoes that fit well with my narrow and slightly differently sized feet, but these have worked well. The shoes have a nice heel that is snug and doesn't slip. Have only taken them out in light to moderate rain a few times, but the waterproofing seems to work well. Overall they seem comfortable and reasonably durable.

Except for the ripped area at the side fabric of the shoe, every other part has lasted amazingly well. But this has compromised the waterproofness.

I use these to wear day-to-day to commute to/from work. The quality is good! I only have 2 complaints:1. Laces far too long IMO, these can be changed.2. The shoe’s tongue isn’t adheren’t to the rest of the shoe laterally like a lot of shoes are nowadays, this can get annoying when walking around as it had been slipping laterally and not falling directly in place.For size comparison, I have a couple Brooks shoes (Catamount, Hyperion Tempo) in size 11, and these fit me well in size 11.
These are the first pair of Salomon runner products that I have purchased. I am quite impressed with the level of comfort and support of these runners straight out of the box. I have wide feet and the runners fit comfortably. I had no shipping issues since the runners are directly from Salomon.
First thing I did when I got home was put on one shoe and poured water over just the toe; not even over the laces. Feet got immediately wet. 100% NOT waterproof. I wanted shoes that would keep my feet dry if I stepped in some extremely low water (puddles and the like), and if there's gore-tex in there, it's badly implemented.2 stars because gore-tex/waterproofing was the only reason I bought these, but at least they look good and seem to be comfortable for the few minutes I actually wore them.
The Outpulse has a narrow fit with a decent sized toebox. The Ortholite insole is moderately cushy although doesn't offer much support for high arches. The midsole seems a bit rigid which may be optimal for loose/damp terrain, the Gore-tex aiding in those situations as well. The tread is adequate, the gaps showing the foam above is concerning, suppose it provides more flex. Laces are strong and secure but super long. Overall sleek styling, a bit stiff light hiker.
Normally I love Solomon products but these shoes are awful. I bought them in October and after a few short hikes and some light everyday use, the seam began to come apart on the side of the shoe. I should have returned them after my first hike with them, as the soles were so uncomfortable they were virtually unwearable without insoles, which is not something I've needed with any other shoe. If you have to stand around for any length of time, these shoes feel like you're standing on concrete.
one month in and they might be my new favorite trail shoe. super comfortable, even at work standing on concrete for 8+ hours a day. support is great, doesn't hurt my lower back. durability is yet to be seen, but I usually burn through Merrel or Keen shoes within 8-12 months, so fingers crossed I'll get at least that. they breathe very well and are light weight.
The shoes fit. Main sell point is the water resistant Gore Tex materials use for the outer surface. The insole uses Ortholite - basically a foamy material. I was able to take out the insole and put in my customized orthotics. Overall happy with my purchase, especially as I got it on sale.
