Purchased a set of Michelin City Grip 2 last October. Unfortunately due to my lack of experience I didn't notice that my local Cycle Gear had installed the rear tire backwards. A local shop mechanic pointed it out to me after 4000+ miles of use. The bike rode fine and never noticed any issues. Will need to purchase a new rear tire for an upcoming cross-country rally soon. Will mark tire with correct direction prior to dropping off for mounting - a $100.00 plus learning experience. Other than that a great set of tires!

If you have the bmw m235i you know how fantastic it is! But if I had one complaint it would be the car doesn't sound as fast as it goes. So I found ML Performances and looked into this rear box delete. It sounds amazing! It's a must have product! The quality of the pipe work and welding is unmatched, It fits well also. Depending on your preference the tips provided are fine for the price but the ends of the tips where not rolled and where clean cut.. meaning they where pretty sharp so amending this is important if you dont want to cut yourself when washing the car. Also be aware the sound is very cool but you may come across a little bit of drone.. its expected but two ways to fix this is by when at low speeds just easing off the throttle a little more than you ... MoreIf you have the bmw m235i you know how fantastic it is! And when in sport mode (the pops are like gun shots) it's best to remove the exhaust audio fuse as it causes drone. Ps its unlikely to pass an mot, best to know your mot garage well or keep the old silencer and swap it back over for test.

Game Changing.
14 November 2023

I bought these for my 2023 Xmax 300. They came with a pair of dunlops that were not great. The biggest difference that I felt immediately is that these tires are round. The dunlops had a flat center patch that is great for keeping a straight line. These are smooth all the way round making turning and corners much more enjoyable and natural. These have been on for 3,000 or so miles and have shown very minimal wear. The grip is phenomenal, even in the rain. I don't change much of how I ride while in the rain with these on. I think they look great. They're pretty cheap and durable, to boot!

I found the only brand tire I've ever wanted and needed.

I ride a 2022 Yamaha CZD300 XMax scooter, and I can wear out some tires. But the City Grip 2's that came with my bike are fantastic. No problem down to 10 Fahrenheit, and their wet performance is amazing. Longest ride to this point is 2 hours one way and the total ride was very comfortable. When it is time to but new tires I will be buying Michelin's City Grip 2 tires, unless they come out with a City Grip 3 that's even better.

Karma at work

I previously had this tire on my scoot, seemingly forever. It dry rotted before it wore out. I got a Shinko a short time ago to save money. Plenty of tread on it... On one side. The other side is nearly bald and I have about 11 wheel weights there. Don't skimp on tires. Unless you flip stuff like a craigslist cowboy. Then, by all means, buy the cheap junk so we all know you don't ride.

Michelin does good but only just.

So, 3 stars. Not great, but not horrible either. Allow me to explain.Short story is: Michelin likes to design their tires with essentially a point at the middle. Then you have ramps down either side...like a V. Whereas other companies (not naming any) design their tires with more of a curve to them, like a D (curve facing down, obviously). This means that when you use these Michelin tires, and I've had several sets on different bikes which all did this, (spanning over 20 years), this means they do not like to hold the angle you set at the bars; They want to keep dropping in. This to me is annoying at best and tragic at worst if you're not prepared for it. It also makes it harder to ride.In this specific tire, the feedback is good. This to me is annoying at best and tragic at worst if you're not prepared for it. It also makes it harder to ride.In this specific tire, the feedback is good. They do inspire confidence in the sense that they don't send unnecessary chatter through the bars like some other tires do (pretty much every OEM Dunlop I've ever ridden, this scoot included). By the same token, and this could be because they're new, they also are lazy to respond to inputs from what I imagine is due to the M+S all season tire profile. There's lots of little 'fingers' that have to tighten up before the change is registered at the tire from what you do on the bars. I imagine this is what dual sport people deal with riding on knobbies to a lesser degree. Couple that with their natural tendency to fall in by themselves, and you can see why this is annoying.Going to keep them for a bit, but these were purchased out of desperation to get out of the OEM tires on the scoot, and were the only reputable brand I trusted that was in stock. Will keep hunting for my other tire of choice.

Store not the tire
16 August 2024

This is about the Alta Mere store not the tire. I purchased this tire from CG website because two employees said they would balance it if I would install it. They said their installer did not go that small. When I returned with the mounted tire on a Vespa wheel, I got the wrong person. I told him the comment from the other two employees. He said CG doesn't balance tires this small. They don't need it. Lie number one. I've had many Vespa tires balance. He proceeded to tell me that the arbor on CG balancer would damage my wheel. I suggested we look at the arbor. He told me," You can't look at the balancer." This guy needs help in 2 ways. How to balance a wheel and how to deal with customers.

These tires are one of the best you can get. Period. If you travel more than to the store and back, get these. You will not be disappointed. I have 40 thousand miles on Michelin. And Wal Mart did a good job getting them to me. Vespa Primavera Touring
