replaced front at 7k miles still in great shape but original 10 years old so preventive maintenance, rear was recently replaced. Shipped to home, so at my convenience brought wheel and tire to CG, installed and balanced great deal excellent service. Paired with Michelin tube needed for spoke wheel ftw

This is my fourth set of these tires on my 2017 Road Glide Special. it handles much better than with the stock tires. very stable in high speed corners and nice tip in on corner entry. i ride more aggessivly than a lot of touring bike riders. tires also wear pretty evenly. when the rear is worn to replacement level the front is getting close. i always replace tires in pairs and it bothered me to take off front tires with good tread left

103 fxdwg with 150k , always used the scorcher 31 , they are best , climb walls with them I'm thinking. Never had tire slip , NEVER , throw it into wet corners no problem . Usually 13000 km's on a 21" front and 16000 km's on a rear , one up.

Don't try to balance
16 February 2024

Great tire, good price.Don't bother balancing them. Mine was out of balance. I suggested a friend get his tire there, he did and his was also out of balance. Have an adjusted price for just mounting, I will balance it myself which I had to do anyway. The weights were on the wrong side of the nearest spoke to the balance point.Bring back the free mounting.

Great for My Kind of Riding
1 December 2022

Scorchers came with my 2017 Dyna Street Bob when I bought it new a little over 5yrs ago. My riding preference is daylight rides of 75 to 250 miles in dry weather and temperatures of no less than 60 degrees F. I never intentionally ride in wet weather although there have been times when I have been caught in heavy downpours unexpectedly during rides. I'm very pleased with the way the Scorchers handle in every situation (always on paved roads, of course). I replaced them with a new set of Scorchers at 20,000 miles. I'm now at about 36,000 miles and the tread looks like it will last until 40,000 miles so I'm getting about 20,000 miles from each set of new tires. In any case I'm very pleased with the Scorchers and plan on continuing replacing them with same as long as they continue to be available.

Great tire
23 May 2023

Received the tire not attacked by Freddy Kruger. Easy to install on my old wheel. It's round and holds air like it's suppose to. Very solid tire. Doesn't take long to warm up. Always has good grip in turns. Buying from Revzilla was the best price around

Michellin scorcher 31

Just got this to replace the rear on my 15 fxdwg. Its a stock replacement. There is just over 12k on the odometer and the original was done. Hardly any tread across the flat of the tire, wont reach washingtons head on a quarter. Maybe have 1k left? The sides still have maybe 2-3k left in them. The front tire is still great wear wise, ill probably replace soon due to age. I corner fast and hard and the sides of the tire have held up really well. The tire holds up just fine in the water. Ive never had any loss of traction. Most of my riding is on the highway going 80mph+ even in the rain. I personally think the tires have great traction. Onto the order. Got here in 3 days. Date code on the side of the tire is for Sept of 18. Tire was shipped in no packaging at all. ... MoreJust got this to replace the rear on my 15 fxdwg. Its a stock replacement. My second set; why change greatness?
20 February 2018

2004 Roadster (XL1200R); 80% commute, 20% weekend cruising2nd set of Scorchers. First lasted 18,000 front and rear and still had life it them, but were getting scary in the rain and not as planted around turns. Both tires remained predicable up until the 13-15k mark, and then started downhill, which prompted me to purchase then swap them for new Scorchers. Good looking tire, branded HD. Great handling tire for regular commuting, and holds up well in the turns. I have upgraded suspension front and rear, fork brace, etc., so I do 'corner' on a Harley. Please understand that means edge to edge wear on the tire, but not at the lean angles of a sportbike. These tires held up for a long time, and the cost to age value was agreeable, so I bought another set. Talk to you ... More2004 Roadster (XL1200R); 80% commute, 20% weekend cruising2nd set of Scorchers. Poor excuse for "long lasting mileage"
27 June 2024

highly recommend not buying these tires. only 4k miles out of them and there already needing replacement. tire pressure checked 4x a week as well. very unhappy with the fact that only after 2 months i already need to replace them. will be switching back to Metzlers or Dunlops from now on.

The Best
2 October 2017

The absolute best. I could feel the difference in my bike around the parking lot immediately after leaving the shop. My first replacement set on the bike was the Commander II. After installation, the Commander II felt sloppy and disconnected in corners or straight line. Then a severe wobble developed from 60-100 km/h. Bike was almost new (11,000 km) and two dealers tried to pinpoint the problem but no fault found with the bike! They all pointed to the tires! A claim was made through Michelin for a replacement set Commanders but I ended up paying the difference to get the Scorcher 31. Best thing I ever did! I may have given up a little in ride comfort and wear but glad to give that up for a firm (but comfortable) ride, nimble handling and great overall feel. Bike is ... MoreThe absolute best.
