The Michelin StarCross 6 Tires use technologies developed in Michelin's R&D centers and fine tuned on tracks around the world to offer more traction and better durability. These improvements mean that riders can push their bikes to higher performance levels, while at the same time benefitting from longer lasting tire performance. Compared to its predecessor, the StarCross 5, the new StarCross 6 uses technologies developed in Michelin's R&D centers and fine-tuned on racetracks around the world to offer up to 16 percent more traction and up to 19 percent better durability. These improvements mean that riders can push their bikes to higher performance levels, while at the same time benefitting from longer-lasting tire performance. Features: The StarCross 6 Hard tread design works best on very hard packed motocross track surfaces Silica technology increases durability up to 20% and maintains tread block integrity over the life of the tire The adaptive design provides up to 15% more traction Tread blocks resist irregular wear for better traction Double ply carcass (2 layers crossed at 90 degrees)

I really liked the Starcross 5 series and I like the 6 even better. The front and rear were replaced as a set and I have confidence in these tires. They are very predictable in cornering, offer as good or better traction than the 5s and they wear at a significantly slower rate. They are excellent in harder terrain and even perform well in softer conditions. All around good tires.

Excellent grip in dry, damp dirt and sand conditions.Have not ridden with it in mud and water.Big noticeable improvement over the stock original Dunlop AT81 front tire that came on the bike.

Thought I would try this for trail riding. I normally use the Michelin Enduro Med. So far it has been great. I would recommend for sure.
Good grip on blue groove hard pack. This is a premium tire and you get what you pay for. It is a real bear to install due to the extremely stiff carcass. It’s unlike any previous Michelin because it’s synthetic rubber. I have about 2 hours of Moto on it and it shows little wear. This was on a groomed and watered track. I recommend paying for the installation as I have changed over a 100 tires over the years and this is right there with a Maxxis IT. I hope it lasts a while because I don’t want to change it. Buyer beware!
I’m really impressed with the grip levels of the Star Cross 6 front tire especially the cornering and braking I’ve tried many brands over the years and no others compare i use the medium/soft front and rear and they seam to wear better than the 5’s
We ran Star Cross 6 med/hard front and rear for a NHHA race, then ran the same tire hard during the week, with minimal wear we ran them for another 108 mile race, finished on the podium. Going to beat them up for a couple more weeks. I'm ordering another set!
Coming from the factory Dunlop tires on my YZ250FX, the Starcross 6 tires have made my bike even more fun to ride. Noticeable more traction on hard packed surfaces and in the soft stuff (to be expected coming from a 1/2 worn rear). Very forgiving when sliding the rear on corner exit. The bike was also more nimble - turned quicker / easier. Can't wait to take the bike out again...
Replaced a Dunlop AT81 front tire that came on the bike with the Michelin StarCross 6 Medium Soft front tire. Huge improvement in feel, connection to the ground and stability. I feel so much safer and confident off road riding my 2022 KTM 300 XC TPI. Have not had it long enough to know how long it lasts and how it wears. I ride in various terrains but not rocks and boulders.
Put these as replacements on son’s 1978 Rm125c post vintage Mx racer in 20’ .We race on intermediate dirt in N Tx. Well, they’ve held up crazy well. They have over a dozen races on them, and still great usable shape. Great choice for small bores
