I have previously only used metal fish tapes, and holy smokes is this a huge improvement!! It easily tracked through tortuous conduit with 2 90 deg turns across 50’ underground. It was also very strong in pulling a heavy cable back through and easily retracted into its case (a problem I’ve had with metal tapes). It may be harder to direct in a wall than a metal fish, but it’s unbeatable in conduit! Don’t forget the wire pulling foam/gel, but I absolutely recommend this item.

This fish tape is a massive improvement over a standard metal fish tape. It spools out smoothly and flows well through conduit. The twisted design seems to minimize friction making for easier pushes and pulls. The head is a little large, so it will not fit well in a tight opening, but it also seems less likely to break under stress.

It works where other don't

Tried to run metal snake through 3/4 Inch PVC conduit and no matter how hard I tried from either opening could not get it past some complex turns. 2 sets, 1 at each end. Gave up & went to HD to get this or a fiberglass. Bought both, just in case. Tried the fiberglass 1st and it failed, same way as the metal.Then I tried this tape and it navigated its way right through, no issues, like a hot knife through butter. Smooth and no fighting like other tapes. It saved me alot of headache

Puts steel and even fiberglass to shame

I had a long run of 3/4” with four 45s and three 90s. My steel tape couldn’t even negotiate the 45s. Reviews of the polyester tape looked promising, so for about the same price as the fiberglass tape I had been using at work I bought one. I shoved the smooth but tough and flexible tip through one end of the conduit, and it popped out the other end with absolutely no resistance. I truly couldn’t believe it! This type of construction needs no leader. Goodbye steel, goodbye fiberglass.

Gonna Go Fishing!I’ve recently updating my home network and had several open ports on my switch so I decided to run several cat 6 lines and the Milwaukee polyester fish tape made this possible so I could not begin to imagine running lines without it!The fish tape is super durable yet extremely flexible which made pulling/feeding the fish tape a breeze. I was frustrated with the fish tape that I purchased 5 years ago from another company. I had problems with getting the tape back into the case all the time. So I saw Milwaukee started to make fish tapes now. I am hoping they make a better fish tape then the other companies.I ordered the Milwaukee 100 ft polyester fish tape with the non-conductive tip from the Home Depot. When it was delivered to my house the box it came in had no damage the fish tape was surrounded in air pillows to protect the new fish tape. I was utterly surprised how nice it looked. The first thing I did, I pulled the fish tape out about 30 feet and retracted the fish tape back into the case. This told me everything I finally have a fish tape that operates with ease. Trust me when I say this, Milwaukee will sell millions of these fish tapes.I really like the fact that the tape is a triple strand design for more flexibility and it won't kink and for easier feeding the EMT. The outstanding Innovation that went into this low-friction case makes it so easy to retract the 3-strand polyester fish tape. I also was very excited to see they added a non-conductive tip. This means I can never be shocked by using this fish tape. The handle is a multi-position handle the top side of the handle is for carrying the fish tape the back part of the handle is for when you are retracting the fish tape and they made it big enough so you can wear gloves. The handle and case is 17 - 1/2 in. In height and the case is 13 in. wide and 2 -1/4 in. thick and weighs 4.6 lbs. There are also four handles on the inner part of the case that measures in at 4 in. wide that's for holding the case when retracting the fish tape. This Milwaukee fish tape is made in Taiwan but it's all quality and it's made better than a lot of the American ones.If your a electrician, contractor or homeowner, and want the best fish tape, this is the one you want you will thank me later. I do recommend this Milwaukee fish tape 100% for EMT. This fish tape was a joy to use that's why I'm giving it 5 stars.

This has become our new favorite, go to, fish tape. All we do is conduit work and we are always looking for ways to make fishing conduits easier. It pushes the easiest of all the other tapes I have used including metal, fiberglass, and nylon. The polyester has a super slick coating and the flexible leader easily glides around curves and past couplings. The diameter of the polyester shaft is a little larger than others I own and at first I thought it would limit getting through conduits. This extra beef lets you send more pushing force down stream as you feed out the tape. The polyester doesn't have a memory either so it does not coil itself around your legs as you pull it back or feed it out, love that feature. However, because of the size of the non conductive head it doesn't negotiate 1/2" conduit with wire in it easily, if you can get it into the conduit at all. The pulling head will also really only accept about 4 #12's for pull back. That is the only reason I rated it four stars.
