I’ve been using Moroccan Oil since 2012. I started off with the original, then switched to the one for light hair when it came out. I love how it makes my hair feel! I prefer my hair to be an ashy tone, but in hopes of growing my hair longer and healthier I’ve been coloring it less, which leaves it more golden toned. I was already a fan of the OG moroccan oil, so I was so excited to try the new purple formula. I am a natural blonde, but I have more of a golden blonde color. I highlight my hair so that it is more icy in color. To maintain that icy blonde color, I use purple shampoo and conditioner, but I have never tried a purple styling product. This oil is dark purple with a light pleasant smell. At first, I was nervous thinking it would leave my ends tinted purple once applied, but that was not the case. I have been applying this every time after I style my hair. The oil makes my hair so shiny, soft, and frizz free. I love the added benefit of it neutralizing brassiness. I got the purple hair oil by maroccanoil and what can I say? I used the original one before and I was thrilled to see that they came out with a purple hair oil which is especially for blonde/lightened and grey hair colors. I love the smell and how it feels on my hair. I usually use it after my shower and put it in when my hair is still damp. Throughout the week I use it once or twice in between washes when my hair is dry. It softens and smooths the hair structure instantly and I can’t stop touching it. The liquid texture is amazing and it’s easy to apply without making my hair look greasy.
