I have dark blotches on my face which were getting worse over time. I received a sample of this dark spot correcting serum when I had purchased another Murad product at Ulta so I figured I would give it a try. After about a month of using the sample on a daily basis, I actually could see the dark spots lightening up. I was amazed. I ran out of the sample and bought a full-size bottle. After another month of use, I saw even more of an improvement. This is now my second bottle. It is expensive and it takes time and patience, but I have found it to be worth the price and will continue to use this as long as I continue to see results. I am sensitive to most fragrances. This has a very mild fragrance, but it does not bother me at all.

A skincare product with a pump is always at the top of my list. The pump makes it easy not to waste or overdo it on the serum. I have bought and used it based on good reviews. I feel irritating just a few seconds after applying the serum on my face. Then, the irritation goes away and leaves my skin soft. The serum dries very quick. I have fair skin so the dark spots stand out. I feel sad looking at freckles on my cheeks. However, Murad serum has suprised me since the dark spot is improved. My skin is getting better and better. I am using the serum twice a day, in the morning, I will ensure to apply moisturizer and sunblock after the serum. Loveeeeee it.

I have literally tried everything on my face to fade dark spots. So much money has best spent on different scar gels, creams, DIY at home scar lightening hacks, you name it. I struggle with skin picking (dermatillomania), and it’s gotten worse throughout the p*ndemic. My mom actually gave me her free sample from Sephora, and I doubted it would work but i was DESPERATE. Little did I know that this product would be such a game changer. Already after a few inconsistent uses, I already noticed a difference. It lightened and flattened my harsh, hypertrophic scars!!! I’m going to purchase a full bottle now, even though it’s pretty pricey, it’s the one thing that actually WORKS on my face 😭💞

Hi. 36 yo/f here struggling with melasma and dark spots. It all started when I jumped into resurfacing the skin on my face. I used a product that was (and is) WONDERFUL, but it warned me about sun exposure. Well, like an idiot, I didn't think much of it when I first started using it summer 2020 and after just 10 minutes of full sun exposure, BOOM - a massive discoloration patch on my forehead appeared. I mean, it was so bad not even the best concealer could completely cover it up. And I had always been SO PROUD when they did that UV light evaluation on your face to detect sun damage, and even after living on the beach for 3 years, mine was always perfect. After an expensive dermatologist visit and a special cream that had to be picked up at a special compounding ... MoreHi. 36 yo/f here struggling with melasma and dark spots. And I had always been SO PROUD when they did that UV light evaluation on your face to detect sun damage, and even after living on the beach for 3 years, mine was always perfect. After an expensive dermatologist visit and a special cream that had to be picked up at a special compounding pharmacy, that insurance wouldn't cover, having a very short ~2-3 week shelf-life (before deactivating and becoming useless), and you could only use it for so long and only in certain spots, I was rather downtrodden. As if the stress of the pandemic did not age my skin fast enough, I had to stupidly help it out, and all my attempts to reverse it were useless. So, in my quest to prevent any further damage I purchased one of Murad's sunscreens (my very first purchase from this brand), which came with 2 free gifts. One of them being this Correcting Serum. < < Let. Me. Tell. You. >> I was *BLOWN AWAY* at how amazing this serum made my skin look after the very first night of use. And that tiny sample? A little went a very long way and the 0.17 fl ounces lasted me for a month after daily nighttime use covering my entire face and neck.Murad has been added to my forever list of companies that I LOVE and this stuff is absolutely worth every single penny.

First, I'd like to make a statement from a former customer service rep. I would always recommend consulting with a dermatologist when it comes to your skin concerns. You don't necessarily need to request/receive a prescription from them but it's important to know what's going on with your skin. It will save you money and time on certain products that are not made to target your specific skin concerns. Especially when they're sever concerns. That's why I always suggest consulting with a dermatologist first so you can how to treat and improve your skin. With that being said, I do not have any sever skin concerns. I'm self conscious about my skin so I'm always popping pimples if I feel like they're too noticeable. I NEVER thought I'd be able to find something store bought, that would actually work for my skin until I started using this product. I was not a believer at first but was willing to take the risk. Im on week two, and I'm so glad I took the risk as I can see my dark and darkest spots lightening up. I'm feeling much more confident and will continue to purchase this product. Sorry for the long comment but I'm just excited to finally have found a product that works for ME.

Ran to purchase after using sample
22 April 2023

I have lots of reddish/brown acne scars from cystic acne after quitting my birth control 3 years ago. Lately I got almost all my acne spots are under the skin pimples - the ones that hurt and leave scars. I had a sample of this and finally got around to using it. It worked over night - my skin looked radiant and my scars were slightly faded. I used it for another 3 days before running to put this in my cart. The best skincare purchase I’ve made in a long time! My skin is radiant, smoother, and texture is diminished by a long shot. Highly recommend this serum. I’m so happy I finally decided to use that little sample. Best purchase ever!

The Only Thing that Helped Lessen Melasma

Besides expensive department store serums that were supposed to lighten dark spots, I have also tried retinol, niacinamide, lactic acid, and salicylic acid. I am no longer as self-conscious as I was before regarding the melasma patches, because even though the melasma is still there, it's nearly three shades lighter than before. I went out without concealer today for the first time since my melasma began. I will buy this serum again and again!

This product surprised me with how much it helped
19 June 2023

I tried the mini first to test the results on some really bad hyperpigmentation on my legs. I got ingrown hairs and then due to anxiety was obsessively picking at them. I don't have the money to go to a derm right now so I was looking for an OTC solution and tried the mini size first. I was very skeptical but honestly I've been pretty impressed. If you're looking for a miracle, that's not going to happen with virtually any product. However, after using it 2-3x a day for about a month I have noticed that it's sped up the naturally healing process. Especially the last couple weeks I have seen a noticeable improvement. I'm going to go for the large size and see if it helps even more over the next few months.

Your skin may be able to handle the alcohol
3 August 2023

I purchased this serum about 2 months ago, though not from Ulta. I cannot attest to the effectiveness of the product because I couldn't continue use past 3 days. I ALWAYS check ingredients, but for some reason, I trusted the brand and skipped the ingredient check. Alcohol denat is the 2nd ingredient and it's obvious. It smells strongly like alcohol and dried my face out tremendously. I saw some peeling in my dark spots and thought "awesome, they're shedding right off". Nah, my whole face was peeling. I have dry skin to begin with, so i try to avoid drying alcohols. If you don't have dry skin, maybe you can stick with the application, unfortunately I could not.
