Protein is ok, the flavour initially is a slightly tangy sweet apple with a slight vanilla biscuit flavour, it does however have a slightly bitter aftertaste. I usually add honey to reduce the aftertaste. I have found that the flavour can be a bit too much after a workout at times. Milk usually dilutes the flavour to make it easier to drink. I have found that this powder is lumpier than some of the popular flavours even after vigorous shaking which can make it harder to drink quickly as it needs to be shaken several times to break up little lumps at the bottom. Goes Well With: Water, milk

Banana and vanilla are my favourite flavours out of the all of them. I order 3 samples of every flavour. I found all the chocolate flavours were too chocolatey and sweet. But the banana and vanilla were really nice tasting and flavourful without being sickly. They are very easy to drink without having to feel like you are forcing yourself to drink it. I have mine with oat milk with no added sugar and it tastes like a normal enjoyable milkshake. Goes Well With: Alpro no added sugar, no added sweetener oat milk.

I ordered a selection of 5 flavours. I found the chocolate smooth and strawberry and cream to be the nicest. They tasted just like milkshake I tried the chocolate brownie, chocolate orange and vanilla one as well. The vanilla flavouring tasted quite synthetic, but it wasn’t horrible. The chocolate brownie and orange were okay just not to my taste, again not horrible though. There was still quite a few lumps when mixing this however that may have been my fault ‍♀️ I was apprehensive to try protein powder as I have very sensitive taste so it was great to be able to order samples before buying a bigger pot. For someone who has sensitive taste, these were delicious.
I have always cycled but being a complete ignoramus I used to refuel using Chocolate Nesquik. Since shedding a bit of timber and getting fitter, I am more mindful of what goes in to my body. I knew I wasn't getting enough protein because I was working out and cycling almost daily as well as having a 500 calorie deficit each day and the weight still wasn't coming off. This has been a complete game changer. Not only am I getting the protein boost I need, I also have it for breakfast with a banana which keeps me going until lunch so it is helping me keep the calories down while I am still losing weight. The added bonus is it tastes great - even more morish than Nesquik. I ordered some sample packs to try first and needless to say I’ve since gone on to order bigger packs. This is a great product, it mixes really well. No grainy texture, really smooth. Tastes delicious but not too sweet. A lot of protein powders taste sickly sweet to me but not this one, it seems to have the right balance. No chemically after taste either. I’ve only ever mixed mine with milk, but to me it tastes like a perfect milkshake. Not t thick and not too sweet. Delicious! Goes Well With: Anything but I love one with my breakfast or as a mid day drink

However since I using the samples, I have pretty much carried on using them rather than purchasing the big amounts as I love the variety it gives me! It means I don’t have to stick to the same flavor every day! I know this is a much more expensive way of doing it but I get bored of 1 flavor and like to have the option to mix it up! I think it would be really great if you could choose a selection of smaller packets and create your own personalized variety boxes. The smaller sizes are great for just throwing in your bag when your in a rush on the way to work, if your traveling and just want to grab something quick. I purchased the shaker essential bundle with the Strawberry Cream Impact Whey. The shaker came in the wrong size (big one) when I was expecting the small one(400ml) which is described in the bundle. Unfortunately, the flavor is terrible and I didn’t like it. I was expecting something better. The sweetener flavor is stronger than the strawberry which already is not good. I’ll go back to the other brand I bought close to my place. I’ll try drinking it with soya or almond milk hoping that I’ll be able to drink it. I won’t buy MyProtein products anymore after this trial. Goes Well With: Maybe milk / non dairy options.
Was really disappointed with this one. Not had anything from here before but was recommended MyProtein by lots of people…. This one was really super sweet/sugary and basically strawberry flavoured (like candy floss), not sure where the chocolate aspect comes in! Main problem though, which may well be the same with all, is how hard it is to read the nutritional info: tiny writing that’s all crammed in, which seems so difficult and hard for a product that is targeted to people using every bit of this info. I’ve used other protein powders that have the basics per serving printed in bold/on the front/standalone and I have found this much easier. I’ll give another flavour a go and my son has the vanilla one which he’s loving so could well just be me!
