For years my sister raved about Nar's foundation. She always talked about how good the shade range is and how natural the finish of the foundation is. Being South Asian it can be challenging to find a foundation that isn't too pink, orange or too yellow for my skin. However upon trying this foundation in the shade Punjab I realized that no foundation has ever matched my skin so flawlessly as this one. I will say that this foundation does have a thinner consistency and a little does go a long way. In my experience one pump gives a coverage that looks natural but does give more coverage as it is buildable. At first I was in complete awe and shock. How could there be a foundation so good that makes my skin look so fresh and beautiful ? I didn't look cakey as the other ... MoreFor years my sister raved about Nar's foundation. It looked like I had nothing on because the foundation blended in so well with my skin that it looked like my own but more even toned. This foundation is now a staple that used and loved on a daily basis. I love this product so much that I will be tossing out my other high end foundations.

Nars Sheer Glow is definitely the best foundation I've ever used. It blends really well and evens skin tone while looking incredibly natural. I wear the shade Oslo and it's the best match I've found for my skin colour. It's handy that it's quite buildable. I find I don't need much but if you were looking for fuller coverage it's achievable without looking cakey. My main focus when using foundation is usually covering redness which this delivers on. I apply it with a damp makeup sponge, and because I have quite oily skin I do make sure to set it with some powder and a setting spray. I don't think it would work too well for oily skin by itself. The only catch is the price, I can't justify it for everyday use sadly but I'll bring it out for date nights or events.

This is such a beautiful foundation and I can see why it’s so popular. I was late on the bandwagon with this product but I’m so glad I’ve finally given it a go. It feels so lightweight on the skin and gives a skinlike finish so it doesn’t look like I’ve got foundation on. It has a light to medium coverage and the shade Fiji works perfectly for my skin tone. Only downside to this and the reason I’ve deducted a star is because there is no pump included, it has to be bought separately. Which is unlike the Nars Radiant Longwear foundation which does come with a pump. I can just gently pour the right amount of foundation onto my hand to then pick it up with my beauty blender, but I don’t understand why this foundation would lack a pump when the other one includes a pump. ... MoreThis is such a beautiful foundation and I can see why it’s so popular. I don’t trust people who speak negatively about Nars when they use lots of other products with this one. If you just use the foundation and concealer I think this does wonders. I have severe atopic ecszema. I react very easily to a lot of products without question even hyaluronic acid. Yes you heard it, the best moisturising god serum everyone talks about affects me as well. But Nars is the only make up that hasn’t reacted to my skin and I just use the foundation and concealer. I stopped all the other products i.e untrustworthy primer, bronzer even oil based cleanser and my skin is slowly returning to normal. I used this foundation it is suitable for dry sensitive skin and I am very happy with it as it makes my skin look brighter and with concealer it hides my dark ... MoreI don’t trust people who speak negatively about Nars when they use lots of other products with this one. Don’t buy the first thing you see online, do your research. Thanks

I like this product but I don't understand why Nars makes it's customers pay an additional $6 for the pump that should be part of the packaging. Without the pump the product leaks from the cap and makes a big mess on the rim of the bottle. A lot of the product is lost this way. Also it is far more sanitary to use the pump than the product via a cap. Worth noting is that the product with the pump can be purchased for the same price (no additional charge for pump) at some Blue Mercury stores. I don't understand the reason for the Brand's inconsistency with packaging between their retailers and their own website. Makes no sense to me that I can't purchase non defective packaging from the Nars website without paying additional for it. Note: Ive been using this product ... MoreI like this product but I don't understand why Nars makes it's customers pay an additional $6 for the pump that should be part of the packaging. I’m a MUA and this is one of my most reached for foundations. I don’t see this being as used as much these days which I think is a shame as it’s a great foundation and photographs great too. I don’t think this foundation is sheer at all, more a medium which is defo buildable to a full coverage but doesn’t look matte, it looks radiant and soft. If you’re comparing this to the Nars radiant long wear, I’d say that has more coverage initially whereas the sheer glow you can build to that level of coverage. The sheer glow is also a more funny consistency as opposed to the radiant long wear which is thicker. Both foundations are good for my/clients skin, BUT I would say make sure you if you have oily/combo skin to prep and set your skin well when using the radiant long ... MoreI’m a MUA and this is one of my most reached for foundations. For sheer glow it suits most skin types. I’ll always repurchase this.
I first used this foundation in the early 2010s. Although dozens of foundations have launced since then, I always loved this classic. It's light to medium coverage yet doesn't feel heavy. Back then my only options were Mont Blanc (2) which was a bit too light for me, and Deauville (4) which was too dark which is why I strayed and tried others. But they have since released a new shade, Yukon (2.5) which is perfect for my fair, neutral-cool compexion. Its a perfect match with the Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla for under my eyes to brighten and the Soft Matte Concealer in Creme Brulee on blemishes (for an exact match). I don't even bother with the pump I just tap it out. It lasts well and is easy to buff on with a foundation frush.
I may sound a little crazy when I say this, but... I'm basically married to this foundation! For me to say is my go-to foundation is a bit of an understatement. Trust me, I have tested a really good amount of foundations and compact powders high and low, but something was not right... the oxidizing making my face look muddy or ghost-like, the formula separating on my face, or something else very gnarly. But this foundation is SPECTACULAR. MARVELOUS. WONDERFUL. It makes my skin look fabulous. A little bit goes a long way. I've been using this for almost 10 years, and although I used other ones when I've run out, I always come back to this one.Nars, if you read this, don't ever change nor discontinue this formula. it's perfect!
the formula is delightfully runny, and is texturally light on the face. but that’s really all the good things i can highlight about the nars sheer glow foundation. i have dry, sensitive skin and i’m prone to redness. i bought this with the expectation that it is a “my skin but better” tint, with minimal, buildable coverage and a glowy, hydrated finish. i have a cool to neutral undertone, the cool was too peachy and the warm was too yellow. however, deauville (advertising itself as a neutral colour) still leans too yellow — and it’s quite visible even in the product photos. it oxidises EVEN YELLOWER. without moisturiser, it clings really badly to my dry spot and settles into my fine lines. with moisturiser, it separates even when i give my base adequate time to dry ... Morethe formula is delightfully runny, and is texturally light on the face. but that’s really all the good things i can highlight about the nars sheer glow foundation. i have dry, sensitive skin and i’m prone to redness. i bought this with the expectation that it is a “my skin but better” tint, with minimal, buildable coverage and a glowy, hydrated finish. i have a cool to neutral undertone, the cool was too peachy and the warm was too yellow. however, deauville (advertising itself as a neutral colour) still leans too yellow — and it’s quite visible even in the product photos. it oxidises EVEN YELLOWER. without moisturiser, it clings really badly to my dry spot and settles into my fine lines. with moisturiser, it separates even when i give my base adequate time to dry and become tacky. to reemphasise my skin condition, i have DRY skin. tell me why after 4 hours of wear, i come back (not once, not twice, but all THREE times i’ve worn this) to my foundation separating and pooling on my cheeks and nose. again, i know this is a glowy finish, so of course some propensity towards melting in this hellish, swampy weather is to be expected, as is a decent amount of transfer, but not for the formula to completely fall apart and deposit pigment into every crevice on my face. works awfully with both loose AND pressed setting powder as well.
