Really good sunscreen. Scent not overwhelming nor that sunscreen smell. Texture feels good and non sticky like other sunscreen products. Absorbs quickly into the skin and keeps you hydrated at the same time . Works well with other moisturisers and can you can use all over body . Definitely recommend. Good to keep in the car with you or in your purse . Definitely good step before putting makeup on !!

This sunscreen feels great on the skin, and is very hydrating. The texture is liquidy and hydrating, however if you use a good amount it can feel greasy. It absorbs well into the skin, but it pills and does sting your eyes. It has a light scent and it’s decent at sun protection. I’ve used it at the beach without my light skin getting burnt. However, the amount that it pills on skin and the sting turns me off of this product. There are better options out there.

Up until 8 years ago, I would only wear sunscreen if I was going to be outdoors for awhile. I just hated the way it felt on my face and how greasy it made my skin feel. As a makeup lover it was pretty much impossible to put makeup on top of any sunscreen without it pilling or sliding around. As more of my friends and family started developing skin cancer, I decided to give it another shot. After trying a few more duds and reading a lot of reviews I tried this sunscreen. What a wonderful product! It is so lightweight that it feels like you are wearing a nice moisturizer. It sinks into the skin quickly and easily and gives you a nice healthy glow. It doesn't make you feel like you rubbed a stick of butter on your face. Has a slight odor but it's not strong or unpleasant. Just smells like a day at the beach. It doesn't leave a white cast on my face like so many sunscreens do. I have and would recommend this sunscreen to anyone. It's affordable, readily available and a great product. Have been using another sunscreen to help repair my skin barrier, but when I pulled this out I remembered how much I loved it. Now I switch between the two.

OMG! When I tell you, this is the best sunscreen in the market, I mean it. It’s definitely a dupe for black girl magic sunscreen. It leaves your skin so moisturize, glowy and actually protects your skin. I buy the 50 SPF as well. That one nor this one leaves a white cast . I support black brands, but sometimes I can’t afford that price. prices are starting to rise in the stores for Neutrogena as well, I buy mine from Marshalls.

This was formerly my holy grail of chemical SPF until I discovered the Invisible Defence. I'm only knocking off stars because of my skin type and goals. This is a stunning product but it does leave a glow and with oily skin, I don't need that. The formula is amazing, it really melts into the skin and leaves no SPF residue or feeling. This makes a wonderful primer, makeup glides perfectly over it and looks smooth. It also does not disturb makeup wear too much. I consider this a 2-in-1 product for me because it's hydrating and protecting. If you don't require a lot of moisture during the day this can serve as both moisturizer and SPF. It's hydrating enough without being greasy, I just prefer the pink formula for my skin goals.

I specifically used this for my face because it's Neutrogena a part of the Hydro Boost Water Gel line. I don't get enough sun, so I haven't really had much need for it again, but when the summer kicks back around I'm definitely going to be reaching for this one! I substitute it instead of my water cream in the summer too if I'm really going to be out in the sun like perhaps at the beach. I didn't like how it felt at first because it is a lotion based product noticed when it expires - it expires. It gets super liquid tacky. But other than that if you can splurge a bit on this if you're constantly getting sunlight or even for the summer you have naturally oily or OILY/combo skin I'd give it a try.

I absolutely love the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Lotion SPF 30! It’s lightweight, absorbs quickly, and leaves my skin feeling super hydrated without any greasy residue. The SPF 30 is a great bonus, providing solid sun protection while keeping my skin smooth and soft all day. It layers perfectly under makeup, and the gel texture feels so refreshing on my skin. This has become my go-to daily moisturizer, especially in the summer. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a non-greasy, hydrating sunscreen!

Exactly what I was looking for. No eye stinging.
29 May 2024

I actually found this on a dermatologists list of sunscreen that does NOT sting the eyes. This was my issue with other sunscreens like my Aveeno Positively Radiant and Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch. I love this stuff because I can close my eyes, tuck in my lips and just go crazy covering my face . I don't get any eye stinging during application or through out the day. It goes on clear and wet and dries in a really nice way that feels like your skin is hydrated but not sticky. I feel like it leaves a healthy hydrated look rather than a "wet dewy" look that some people go for. I'll be buying this again!

I want to love it...
20 October 2021

I bought this a week ago. I've heard it reported that this sunscreen can give major eye sting, but I figured I'd try it out because I don't generally experience skin/eye sensitivity. The sting didn't start immediately upon application, but it really hit about an hour in. I felt like I had a case of onion eyes all day, to the point where I actually couldn't stand it anymore and I washed my face with hand soap at work just to give my eyes a reprieve. Let me break down my rating by theme:-OVERALL SKIN FEEL: 5/5-this sunscreen has eclipsed any others I've tried in terms of hydration, finish, and overall feel throughout the day. I have combination skin, and normally my forehead is a grease factory by noon every day, but this sunscreen dried down to a weightless, matte-esque finish and kept my oiliness at bay far longer than any SPF I've previously tried-FORMULATION TO MINIMIZE IRRITATION: 1/5-as previously stated, the potent, prevailing eye irritation was strong enough to interrupt my day entirely. The sting actually carried into the next day, even after having washed my face and flushed my eyes out multiple times. It wasn't as painful on day 2, but my eyes were still blood-shot, with a mild stinging sensation.-SALE PRICE: 5/5-I was able to purchase for less than $20, and it's twice the size (88mL) of the face SPFs I normally reach for-ACCESSIBILITY: 5/5-I can find this both instore and online at any of my local grocery and drug storesI really want to love this SPF, as I have yet to find another product that feels as good and performs as well for my skin. Unfortunately, I can't handle the eye irritation, and I was forced to discontinue use after 2 days. Are you working on reformulating, or releasing a version without fragrance?

If you hate greasy sunscreen, look no further!

I have been on the hunt for years to find a sunscreen that doesn't look or feel greasy on my face. This product feels extremely light on the skin and also leaves no greasy residue. If you've ever tried the Hydro Boost Water Gel moisturizer, this sunscreen feels very similar on the skin (lightweight, soaks in easily). It seriously feels like nothing on the skin, which is exactly what I wanted. This sunscreen provides adequate moisture in the summer months, but during the winter I sometimes use a moisturizer underneath to give me a little extra moisture when my face is dry.I saw some reviews saying that the product pilled up, but I did not experience that. As long as you allow your other skin care products to soak in completely before applying your sunscreen (3-5min between each step), as well as allow the sunscreen to completely soak in before moving onto make up (I try to wait at least a half hour if possible between my sunscreen and makeup), you will not have an issue with pilling. That is more user error than the product in my opinion. This is my holy grail sunscreen l, and I will never buy anything else!
