I got these for my cousin and we went everywhere looking for them in this exact style and his size. We were so happy when Champs had them in stock. We searched for the whole week but he says they are comfy and he travels and walks a lot and says it provides great support and is very stylish.
The cushioning in these shoes is great. They run about a half size large, so consider that when purchasing.
The $220 pair of shoes for my wife came without a shoelace in one shoe and neither of them came with tissue paper in the toe so they both had crushed toes. I took the tissue paper out of another pair of shoes I had and the laces to put together her $220 pair of shoes.
While there’s no denying the quality of these shoes, I have to admit they are not quite right for me. But I couldn’t send them back and they are perfect for my granddaughter.
I have purchased at least 5 pair of past versions of 990s, either in New Balance stores or through Amazon, all in size 9.5 M. They all fit perfectly except for this version. It's longer than the other 9.5's and has less padding on the shoe bottom. I have previously had surgery on toes on both feet, and the previous versions of the 990 provided the comfort I need. This version, however, is painful on my toes like most other brands of shoes I've tried. I hope that New Balance returns to the quality found in the previous versions of the 990. Now I'm out $215 for shoes I can't wear.
Help me with my heel pain, sturdy, light weight. Got a lot of compliments from coworker.
