Found these shoes in a New Balance store and they felt great! I did have to go up from my regular size 7 to a 7 1/2 but they now fit perfectly. I have foot issues with plantar fasciitis so I'm picky about how my shoes feel. I have worn them all day and my feet still don't hurt! You can remove the standard foot pad and replace it with an orthotic, but these feel fine to me the way they come. I plan to buy another pair in a different color. I am so glad I found these!

I've been wearing New Balance for years. Love them. And, they've always offered larger sizes to accommodate my size 11 foot. However, in several tries over the past 2 years, every shoe I order runs small. These in size women's 12 runs small. I've tried going to a size 13 however, the 1 pair I got are too big and my feet slip around. I kept them since I needed a pair of walking shoes. It seems like with each new generation of shoe, New Balance trail/running are getting smaller. I'm looking at other brands now. VERY disappointed.

I’ve been a big fan of the 860s for a few years/versions and have to have them due to my foot issues. However, the fresh foam in this is just way too soft and squishy compared to the previous ones. Both times I’ve run in these they’ve ended up causing pain in outer ankle ligaments I’ve torn/had surgically repaired which has made me a bit tender for a few days after each run. I didn’t experience this with earlier versions and think the fresh foam in this version is just not supportive enough on the outer side of the feet. I hope they rectify this next year.

I've been wearing 860s since before they were an 860 - they started as 760, then 761, 762, thru 769 then back to 760, then they became 860. I've run a few marathons among other distances over the years. I know this shoe. But lately, what the heck is going on New Balance?! I used to always wear a 6.5D. Never had to try a new version on, the same size was the same size. I had stocked up before Fresh Foam came on the scene. I recently made a new purchase online - 6.5D v12. Then I started reading reviews and got concerned. I went to a local store and tried on what they had - 6.5D and 7D (v13 for both). Man, the 6.5D was SHORT. I went home and tried to cancel the v12 order but it already shipped. They're not only long enough but the toe box feels huger than every single other version for decades! But now I have to pay shipping to send back the 7's because New Balance cannot consistently make a shoe lately. Not cool, New Balance, not cool.
Needed new sneakers desperately and choose these, I have owned one pair of NB but I don't remember the model number. Purchased these and my right foot is slightly longer than the left so I buy according to that, left foot feels like there's a little more room there than needed. Shoe felt a little stiff for a couple of weeks, it's getting better with each day of walking. I have plantar fasciitis in my right foot as well so time will tell with this model, I just ordered a different model of NB so it will be interesting to feel the difference.
I have worn New Balance for over 35 years, yes my size and width have changed over the years, but the quality of this shoe is sub standard for New Balance. I ordered my usual size and I should have ordered at least one or one and a half size up. No lining in the toe box, the laces were so short I could hardly tie them. So if you need to order this shoe be sure and size UP. New Balance customer service was AWESOME even though I had tried to wear the shoes once. I returned them and got a full refund. Kudos to NB customer service but honestly go back to making quality shoes.
Sizing is not very accurate to order and the store is no longer in Las Vegas. Was able to try a 9 , ordered a 9 1/2 M because needed little more length. When it was delivered, trying it on it still felt it was a 9 M which does not make sense. Called and sending back because it was a gift for them to get credit. Like the styles and looking forward to try them became my daughter likes them. Noticed on reviews some said run small but never had to order two sizes up and any shoe. A lot of wasted time to keep ordering till you find the right one and then another style fits different again. Read that a lot on all different style reviews. I stopped using one brand because their sizing wasn't consistent with the same shoes in the box. I may try ordering 10 M because you ... MoreSizing is not very accurate to order and the store is no longer in Las Vegas. Was able to try a 9 , ordered a 9 1/2 M because needed little more length. I've both traveled with these shoes and worn them for 5 mile walks in my neighborhood. In both situations they were very comfortable and offered good support. I wear a wider shoe and neither of the New Balance shoe stores in my area carry much of a selection for my particular foot. So I took a chance and bought online. This model is true to size and the wider width (2E) is very comfortable. I like the well-cushioned sole especially in the all black color - I think they look kind of clownish when the color of the very thick sole is in contrast with the body of the shoe. I'm not looking forward to wearing these during a sudden shower, however. The fabric/mesh upper probably does not offer much protection from the rain.
I've been wearing the 860s for years. I have a frayed tendon under my inside ankle which can become very inflamed and painful. I walk a minimum of 20 hours per week. I find the 860s to have excellent support and comfort. I have always felt stylish enough in these shoes to wear them to do earrands or meet a friend for coffee after my workout. Since receiving a pair of the V13s, I change my shoes. They have become too clunky. The heel is very think at the back and the tab behind the ankle is too bulky. I don't notice any improvement in the performance that warrants these changes.
This shoe and style seems to have steadily changed over the last year or so. Bought a wide width and feels narrower than previous shoes of same style. The foam component is not comfortable because the shoe doesn't seem supportive, now struggling with some acute plantar fasciitis and I suspect due to the poor fit of this shoe. Would not leave new balance because of the generally good width and comfort in the 1540s I use for work. I need to change styles for general wear for workouts and such.
