I had never purchased high end running shoes before but I decided to take the plunge. The shoes have been great. The are lite, extreme responsive and comfortable. Unfortunately, they are now falling apart. There are wear and tear holes in both heels that the little beads are leaking out of. I usually wear New Balance or Brooks for running/walking. But after reading and hearing about the new Joyrides, I was intetrested to give Nike another shot. I have high arched feet and experience sesamoiditis, so I typically can't wear Nikes for casual wear or exercise. This shoe has one of the lowest heel to toe drop compared to most Nikes and the cushioning is amazing. I do not plan on using them for running, but this shoe has become a new daily favorite. Although Nike usually runs a little narrow for my feet, the flyknot material does not make me feel like the shoe is squeezing my feet. The in sole takes a little bit to get used to, but give a few days and they become formed to your feet.

Since the flyknits came out I have been a huge fan for both tennis, running & general comfort. These are some of the best looking and comfortable Nikes I've ever owned. I sent back my normal size and ordered a 1/2 size larger and they fit like they were made for me. First time I've had to size up with Nikes in a long time. They feel great walking, running or just for casual wear. Love this color combo with the red accent- very distinctive.

Not only is the Joyride Flyknit so comfortable for me that I wear them like mocs at home and for the first time wear a shoe without socks for the sensation is like no other.At first you gotta break into them as the beads will first cause some pressure and overtime they lossen up a bit. Also the beads may not be in the right place but just give them a really nice shake or twist these bad boys without need to worry about damaging them as they are designed to be twisted and shaken to get the beads in the best spot for individual comfort before getting ready to bounce! I feel for more longer runs however the dual run gets the job done and has a little more bounce to it from the dual design. The issue was two-fold: the tightness of the flyknit/huarache upper and the under-toe seam that does it’s best impression of a baptist church camp tug-o-war rope, separating the front bead cushion from the rest of the sole and upper. There is no removable shoe insert, it’s sewn in. It doesn’t seem like other reviewers have had this issue with the seam, but it made me reevaluate my life choices and why I don’t own a broccolini farm where I can stroll through my crops of veggies barefoot and not have the burden of shoes and socks. I’d go up a 1/2 size to get a more relaxed fit, unless you’re into your footwear sucking the soul out of you from your feet. Even with slack laces. Maybe worth noting - I wore them with Stance no-shows, which have absolutely no cushioning, so a pair of thicker running socks might help. My achilles was pretty raw from the tight huarache sock, too. Not exposed tendon-raw, but another day in them might’ve just done it. The 1/2 size up felt like it would alleviate this. I wish joyride tech the best of luck, it just doesn’t seem to be for me. If I had less sack, I’d be typing this review as a double foot amputee, but I made it through the test of will, completed my work day and drove home barefoot. Thinking about broccolini.
This was the first time I've ever experienced the Nike Joyride, and I was amazed at the comfort. These are by far more comfortable than the Nike EpicLunar and Nike React. What makes these amazing is the cushioning (I call, the bean bag technology? in the footbed. There are these integrated paddings. They feel like comfort shoes I wear to work by Ecco, the ST1's. The only one thing I didn't like is the transparency in the heel where you can see the little beans. It makes it look like children sneakers. Other than that, I gave it a 5-star because of the comfort and style. It's just so EXPENSIVE though.

When you put socks on the shoes are way too tight. I know they are going to require some break in as they need to stretch but you will need some really thin socks to go with these. I had no idea these shoes were as comfortable as they are. I read allot of reviews here's the honest truth because I'm heavy on reviews.This shoe fits pretty tight like a sock, you will need ATLEAST a half size bigger even maybea whole size up. I wear 11.5 and got a 12. The beads are ridiculous upon first wearing! Its different, but after 5 minutes they conform to your foot and I put these #1 in comfort in the shoes I own. Over the presto reacts, over vapormax! These joyride Nikes cushion your foot very well and make you want to run they are perfect. Now this review is strictly on casual wear and not actually running. On top of all this they were on sale even bigger score! I will buy my girl a pair and I'll probably get the dual joyrides on sale also. Just do it.
I am doing well enough to be able to walk any distance at all---bone on bone on the left side(2 surgeries) and getting close on the right with a meniscus tear i don't really want to get scoped---I am blown away that once i put these shoes on my knees ACTUALLY didn't hurt like they normally do!! the little balls in the bottom of the shoe for comfort and padding are unbelievable ! i throw a patella strap on below both knees and now i can actually run again---well, at least i call it running!! LOL---oh i forgot top mention the neuromas i have on the bottom of both feet too!! you talk about painful!! these shoes and the way they comfort the bottoms of my feet are ineffable !!!! that means, beyond explanation!! thanx NIKE
long time nike running customer. the joyride is a solid shoe. fits like a comfortable glove. size up for sure. i went a half size larger and its about right for regular wear, but maybe a full size if you want room for your toes to move when you run. i do see what others have said about feeling the lack of beads in the fore foot. its not that bad but its noticeable. i do think the show will break in nicely over time as it conforms to my foot. it looks good and feels good. overall the support feels solid. probably going to make these my gym shoe and keep running in my epic reacts
