The 2022 edition of the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Watch the Throne’ brings back a hyper-limited colorway of LeBron James’ ninth signature shoe. Made for the NBA star and a handful of his close friends and associates, the shoe is named for and inspired by the 2011 album by Jay-Z and Kanye West. Metallic gold Swooshes shine on the black Hyperfuse upper, fortified with interior Flywire cables and engineered textile wings that resemble carbon fiber. A lush multicolor print is applied to the interior lining and laces, which are partially obscured by ornate gold-plated lace jewels. Matching gold speckles enliven the black Phylon midsole, featuring encapsulated Zoom Air cushioning in the forefoot and a 180-degree Max Air unit in the heel.

I bought these a couple of weeks ago. I was in dire need of new running shoes. I typically don't go with Nike on shoes to run in, however these were so cute that I couldn't resist. I had reconstructive surgery on one foot a couple of years ago where the tendons that support my arch are considerably weakened now, so if shoes don't give enough arch support I deal with a good deal of pain. I've been running in these almost daily since I got them and they are beyond comfortable. I even wear them just to run errands and they feel so good on my feet.

Finding any shoe comfortable to wear has always been a struggle. I have no arch whatsoever. I play a lot of high active sports and these shoes work some magic support for my feet. When I first tried them on, I wanted to wear them all day. For me they work miracles!

I'm from Portland, OR and have worn Nike exclusively my whole life through the sports I've played and for all of my workout gear. I've never been a great runner and always experienced pain whether it's my shin splints, knee pain, IT band tendinitis, etc. The first time I ran in these shoes I ran 4 miles, comfortably, which I had never done in my life. I have very wide feet and have a Tailor's Bunion (bunion on your pinky toe) that hurts really badly in most running shoes because they're too narrow. I can't speak to the Odyssey 2's because I have the original Odyssey's, but I'm going to purchase this pair as I'm sure they're just as great. For sizing, I usually wear a 7 but always a 7.5 in Nike. I walk about 20,000 steps a day so I was looking for a good walking shoe and also to help with my hypermobility and over pronation. So far the shoes have been really comfortable. However they do run small. I always wear a 7 1/2 and even the eight is a little bit snug in the toe. Good cushioning and good support, though.
I love this shoe. I run daily and it is very very comfortable. I just wish it would be true to size. I ALWAYS wear a 9 in Nikes. In this shoe I ordered the 9 and my toe was at the end of the shoe. I sent it back and ordered the 9.5. If you are unaware the 9.5's have a much larger toe box which feels sloppy. I am still wearing them because overall they are so comfortable, I just wish they were true to size.
I was a long time Structure wearer and tried these on a whim. I like them. More cushion than the Structure. The only weird this is my left pinky toe has been feeling funny, but all in all I like these shoes a lot.
I want these Lebrons for my Collection but Nobody ever has my size 12 in men's. As soon as they do I will snatch them up.
I ran in LunarEclipse for a few years and loved it and they discontinued it, so I read the Odyssey would be a good replacement. In my 25 years of running Ive never had plantar fasciitis and within 30 days of running in these shoes I have it bad in both feet. Ive since switched to the Zoom Structure and its better. I definitely would not recommend this shoe if you need support. I even had better results running in the LunarGlide! I like the cushion of it though.
I was super disappointed in the changes to the lunarglide, specifically the lack of a heel clip and the softer sole so thought I would try this shoe with the heel clip even though it was higher stability. I did expect to feel more arch support given the increased stability it was to offer but this shoe just felt flat. I did not feel really any arch support making this shoe feel like it was just strapped to my foot like a straight board???? Odd feeling. The sole was firmer and the heel clip was able to offer rear foot control but the arch support was lacking. Sad to have to replace my lunarglide and frustrated that finding a replacement through Nike is turning out to be such a chore :(
Love these shoes. My physical therapist hates Nike shoes, but my hip surgeon had me fitted into these (I'm recovering from a labral tear). Now I own 2 pairs because they're comfortable & offer good pronation support.
