The 2022 edition of the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Watch the Throne’ brings back a hyper-limited colorway of LeBron James’ ninth signature shoe. Made for the NBA star and a handful of his close friends and associates, the shoe is named for and inspired by the 2011 album by Jay-Z and Kanye West. Metallic gold Swooshes shine on the black Hyperfuse upper, fortified with interior Flywire cables and engineered textile wings that resemble carbon fiber. A lush multicolor print is applied to the interior lining and laces, which are partially obscured by ornate gold-plated lace jewels. Matching gold speckles enliven the black Phylon midsole, featuring encapsulated Zoom Air cushioning in the forefoot and a 180-degree Max Air unit in the heel.
