I maintain lavender hair so go to the salon every couple of months to lighten my roots only. I've been doing this for literally years. This year the only change was Ulta started carrying Olaplex shampoo and conditioner. I started using it once every couple weeks but since the bottles said it could be used daily, once I ran out often other shampoo and conditioner, I started using this more often. I'd use it once or twice a week. I started noticing some very bad breakage around the crown of my head, so of course thinking my hair needed more help I started using this almost daily. Recently I read reviews and realized others have had breakage using this so I mentioned it to my stylist. She said it could be due to "over proteinizing"? Anyway, this smells great but ... I don't overprocess, just lighten my roots routinely. I'm so upset and disappointed with this stuff. But hey, at least it smells good. I'll go back to Verb Ghost and Redken.

I had gotten my hair lighten by an Ulta Stylist, she did an Olaplex conditioning treatment as well. When I left I felt my hair very dry and rough. I thought maybe it's just from the bleach. I went back few weeks later for another toner. She used olaplex as before and again my hair felt super dry and this time felt matted underneath. Again, I thought maybe it's from the toner. Since I had to wait longer to get my highlights I bought the No. 5 Bond conditioner along with the No.4P blonder enhancer. The first wash I lost a lot of hair in the shower and my hair felt matted underneath after I got out and brushed my hair. I was so hopeful it would get better but the second time I washed I lost chunks of hair. I immediately stopped using it and went back to my normal ... When I washed again with my regular shampoo combo, I only lost a few strands of hair which was normal for me. I didn't think Olaplex caused me to lose so much hair in just two washes until I took pics of my hair from underneath. Literal bald spots!! I do not know if I had already lost quite a bit when the stylist used in me because I obviously couldn't see and she didn't say anything (not sure if she would). I have never had hair loss issues, especially this drastic! Olaplex might be for others but definitely not for me! Horrible experience and I'll never use again. I'm currently taking supplements to help my hair growth.

So for people who have colored hair and worry about it this is for you. Before the using this line my hair color only lasted about 3 weeks. This is such a fast fade. After using the products my hair has kept up with the color and had lasted longer than 3 weeks. I consistently use their purple shampoo once a week.Other shampoos and conditioners fade my bright blonde hair. This was so frustrating because then I would have to go back for so many more appointments then I needed. Olaplex keeps my hair bright blonde and maintains it.Although they are expensive and come in medium sized bottles I think they are still worth it. The shampoo and conditioner are 30 dollars each. This isn't so bad because you get away with using just little blobs that goes a long way. The shampoo is number 4 and the conditioner is number 5.The next product I use is the number 8 bond intense moisture mask. This mask sits in my damp hair for 10 mins. After that I go back in with my shampoo and conditioner. This makes my hair styleable and has more body. This keeps my hair shiny, smooth, and healthy. This product is also 30 dollars. I think this price might be a little much because it comes in a smaller bottle. But in the end process it is giving you what you are looking for. I usually use this hair mask once a week. I try to use it at the beginning of the week to get it prepped for the week full of styling. The next product I use is the bonding oil. This product is made for dry or wet hair. It is a heat protectant, detangler, enhances shine, and reduces frizz. For me this product met all the criteria. The bonding oil number is 7. The smell of this product is great.I mainly use this product when I get out of the shower to help detangle my hair and keep the frizz away for the morning. This keeps me waking up with my hair staying shiny. I also use it when I'm about to style my hair when it is dry. I only put it on my ends and then I continue to style my hair and apply heat. Now this product is also 30 dollars. I think this one is way overpriced because it is a super tiny container. Especially if you use it every single night. My hair before has been rough. Split ends after split ends, dry hair, and washing it constantly. My hair has always had terrible split ends and it was so hard for me to figure out why. After trying so many different products I finally feel like I found what helps me the most.Since I get my hair dyed and style it so often it does go through a lot of damage. Continuing sports as well makes it hard for me to not wash it as much so it doesn't get as dry. Bur after finding what I needed this is perfect. But overall I think the brand is perfect for people who need this type of hair care. It is also great because their line is made for every hair type, it just depends on the condition of your hair.

I have thick hair. It has lots of pores. It gets fluffy after washes. I also dye it. I expect hair to be sort of light, separated, smooth after a wash but feeling lightness and cleanness above all. This shampoo makes my hair feel thick, heavy, as if I haven’t washed it. Yes that means it truly has the bond ingredients but that’s not a nice effect on my thick hair. It makes it feel like thick dry straw. If you put your fingers through the back it almost feels greasy. Especially with hard water in central london this is a horrible combination it makes hair too heavy feeling.
I purchased this product from my hair stylist. After wanting to try this out for years, I was thrilled when my stylist had this, so I bought it. I cannot write a review, but this product did not sit right. I used Monat and bondiboost, and I loved them. When I got my hair done, my stylist (which I love) said it was dry, so I figured they knew best. What do I know? I purchased it in October, and I am not a fan at all. I hate how my hair feels. It feels like straw, very, very dry. Thankfully, I did not experience any of the extreme side-effects as claimed by many one-star reviews, but I also only used the 8.5 oz bottle for about a month. My hair is long, thick, somewhere between wavy and curly, and dry due to my environment. I wash my hair every third day. I can honestly say that this product offered no benefit - no better than any given drug store brand at 1/3 the price. It wasn't necessarily bad, but I won't be buying it again.PROS: didn't leave any immediate residue or buildup; didn't dramatically dry out my hair; didn't agitate my sensitive skin or scalp; functioned just "meh" as a conditioner.CONS: smells kinda weird - not bad, not pleasant either; doesn't keep my hair hydrated - my scalp is oily again after the first day, like a ... I would not recommend it as a hydrating conditioner.
I received a gift bundle of shampoo and conditioner from my boyfriend. This conditioner paired with the shampoo is so drying! I have fairly healthy virgin hair; I use heat on my hair often (with heating protectants); and I do have a few split ends, but my ends are never as dry as they were after using this shampoo. My ends kept getting tangled, and it felt like dry hay. It looked dry as well. I used this conditioner and the shampoo for 3 separate washes, and each time it kept getting so dry. I stopped using it. I do love the bonding oil, so I have nothing against this company, but I would not use the shampoo and conditioner if you have fairly healthy hair.
This is really that bad. Chemically burned my hair. Saying this is a good conditioner is a joke. This company is wrong for this. People are making fake reviews and wrote what someone wrote but said the exact opposite and that it's so amazing and is clearly like defending the product. Be careful and don't listen to people who act like they are scientists and know everything. Smart people know they don't know everything. I want to say it could be an upset hair stylist who's career has been affected (just to mention salons get sponsored by hair care brands) but it could just be a random women who sees herself as a hair connoisseur bc she's probably a skin connoisseur as well. This should be a wake up call for people including hair stylists. Just because this was a ... MoreThis is really that bad. Chemically burned my hair. Saying this is a good conditioner is a joke. Just because this was a product everyone desperately needed doesn't mean you should still support it when peoples hair is legitimately getting chemically burned. This isn't just some people just having a reaction it's a lot. I also got the rash and I don't usually have any allergy issues. I think everyone should monitor how they're reacting to something whether that be hair care or anything and just pay attention to if it's actually helping and if it's not helping just stop using it. The whole "it takes time" is dangerous and isn't true you should notice a positive difference immediately in my opinion and it's best way to just be safe.
Absolutely love these two products - what a game changer! I have been highlighting my hair since I was 14 and since it’s very long I’ve always struggled with the condition of my ends and also tugging when brushing. After being recommended these by my hairdresser, I bit the bullet and within the couple of weeks I’ve been using these there’s been a noticeable difference, my hair is so much softer and smoother and I spend less time brushing/drying it. And there’s a bonus - I actually can see a bit of a shine on it, which is very hard to get when you’re blonde! I’ve had multiple people compliment me on the condition of my hair as well. They are pricey but so so worth it, a little bit goes a very long way, I literally use one drop of oil and a tiny blob of the cream when ... They are pricey but so so worth it, a little bit goes a very long way, I literally use one drop of oil and a tiny blob of the cream when my hair is damp and that does my whole head! For reference, my hair is waist length, straight and even though the strands are fairly thin I have a lot of it. One other thing to note is my hair is prone to getting quite oily at the roots/weighed down by products but I haven’t had any issues at all with these, whereas I have with other brands, and if anything I’ve noticed it’s been less greasy since I started using them. 10/10, if you’re considering buying these, don’t hesitate - they’re worth the hype!
