As with all Oofos shoes, these are the most comfortable flip flops I’ve ever worn. The arch is so big that when I walk, I don’t feel impact on my heels at all. All the impact is in the arch. I recently had a hip replacement, but when I had osteoarthritis, these were the only shoes I could wear. I still wear them even after my surgery. However, I prefer the Oolala sandal over the Ooriginal because the Ooriginals are a little too wide and a little loose. The Oolalas are narrower and fit better. But with all the Oofos I’ve ever owned, the tread only lasts about a year before I have to replace them. I wish they lasted longer. Overall, Oofos is my go-to for flip flops hands down.

They were a gift to my friend who suffers from plantar fasciitis, like I do. She said she loves them! Living in these cured my 2-year long battle with plantar fasciitis. Nothing was helping me, as the pain went from my ankle through the arch of my foot. I wore NOTHING but these, even through the winter. They are not the most stylish of the Oofos... they are wider and do not have the shiny y-strap, so they are not the most flattering of styles. I did end up purchasing the same set for my athletic teen, another pair in ivory (do not recommend light colors as they show dirt like crazy and look gross!!), and then two pairs of the low shoes. A clear safety hazard when wet. I love my sandals and have two pairs. One pair only a month old. I have slipped and fallen multiple times in wet conditions, and when I transition from wet to dry surfaces. Always a smooth surface. A local dealer says Oofos are aware of the issue but it doesn’t look like anything has been done. I need to set reminders not to wear these under any circumstances when there is rain. I have been very lucky not to seriously injure myself. Great product but there should be a warning. I wouldn’t be shocked if there was an eventual class action suit as there are clearly many injuries and the shortcomings are understood, but there is no warning.

Didn't notice it in the store, but I do notice it wearing them in the house and yard. Hubby doesn't notice it, so it very well could be my foot, but this is the only pair of shoes I've noticed it in. I had an old injury where I had broken and dislocated my ankle and it was hurting bad into my instep. I'd have shooting pains in my foot.
