Love this product. Not heavy at all and doesn't give you that bloated feeling a lot of protein powders give. I've been having it in my daily smoothies and ive lost 9KGs, its the only part of my diet and exercise routine that ive changed so its definitely works well as a part of a balanced diet. Very smooth, dissolves easily and doesn't leave a milky taste. Vanilla is definitely my favorite and goes with everything - unfortunately it was out of stock so had to try the chocolate, took a while to get used to the taste but otherwise great as well. Definitely recommend.

Miracle product! it's a great product. it mainly contains whey isolate unlike other proteins that contain concentrated whey. Rich in amino acids and branched amino acids, it provides a high protein level with a low carbohydrate and lipid content protein.tn I highly recommend !

Better than 5 stars

Ignore the 3 star review. Are there “cleaner” proteins out there, yes. Does this one have a couple more ingredients than them, probably. Does that matter to you?… Decide then buy what you want. This is probably the best chocolate protein I’ve had in the 20 years of drinking different powders. Mixed alone in water it’s delicious. Make a full on “shake”…fuggetaboutit. Mixes great. Above all the other praises; for myself and many clients I’ve recommended this to, none have experienced any gastrointestinal distress common with people with milk protein sensitivity. This is a result of an obvious high quality level of “isolation” of the whey protein. Try it and you’ll understand why it’s always out of stock.

Good profile, too sweet

Based on my experience alone: the protein powder is so sweet that I need about 600ml (20 oz) of water to dilute it down to something drinkable. Diluted, it tastes alright, and the nutrient profile is also good. For some reason I get extra hyped after I drink it, I don't know whether it's because of the strong sweetness, the fact that I've switched from regular Whey to Isolate, or something else. Either way, I don't think I'll buy this specific brand again. Update: for the second time I tried it, I get nauseated, won't use this brand again.

Great Product!!!

I made a good choice in purchasing this product. I was feeling weighed down and tired all the time. I started using Gold Standard Whey Protain Isolate for breakfast, and almost immediately started to feel so much better.I have a lot more energy. I will buy this product again in the future.

Great post-workout product

Overall great product. I find it a bit too sweet to drink mixed in only water (it tastes like melted vanilla ice cream), however, I mix it in water and then add it to my greek yoghurt & berry smoothie. It dissolves well in water if you stir it and leave it for about a minute- before drinking or mixing it in a smoothie. I much prefer the isolate to whey, as it is much easier on one's stomach. Furthermore, the product does what I want it to do- it assists with post-workout muscle support and hitting my macro targets. Overall great product.

Hidden Gem on the market. This is truly great.

This is a hidden gem, a true hidden gem. In fact, it seems like the whole Gold Standard 100% Isolate series is. It's great. Minty, just the right amount of sweetness, and a very subtle, almost UNnoticeable artificial taste of sweeteners at the end. The chocolate flavour is a little subtle, so take half a scoop of this, half a scoop of Double Rich Chocolate and it's perfect. I wish that I bought more of this. Also, by itself, it tastes better with water than with milk for me. Milk makes the chocolate flavour noticeable, but water preserves it. if you blend it with Double Rich Chocolate, add half milk, half water. It's the best thing in the world.

No Reason to Try Anything Else

This is the first protein supplement I've tried and am unlikely to try anything else. I like the versatility of the product and results I am experiencing. I purchased the Vanilla and use it in multiple ways- shaken with milk for my cereal in the morning, shaken with oat or macadamia milk for a quick drink, and added to my fruit smoothies. My boyfriend says it tastes like marshmallows. Along with the great taste, I am finding that this product helps me with progressive overload. My muscles are able to push it a little more since I've started using this regularly.

Tastes great and goes well in smoothies

Honestly the best taste and texture of any protein powder I've tried. The vanilla flavor is great. I use it in smoothies and it isn't gritty at all - I can barely tell it's there. I've had other vanilla protein powders that are sickly sweet / have that overwhelmingly artificial flavor, but that isn't the case for the vanilla flavor of this. Note that I haven't tried the other flavors, so I can only speak for the vanilla flavor. Also, I am lactose intolerant and I am able to consume this Isolate without any noticeable problems. I've had discomfort with whey protein before, but this is my first time having this Isolate and I haven't had any bad reactions to it.

Wierd aftertaste

I purchase this direct from ON in the Strawberry cream flavor. I mixed it with 8oz of water in my shaker cup and noticed it failed to mix well leaving clumps in the drink. The initial taste was ok, but the aftertaste was very chemically. The second time I mixed it I used almond milk and a personal blender. This resolved the clumping issue, and it did taste better with the almond milk, yet still had the same strange after taste. The third time I used whole milk and the blender. This was actually the best way to mix this particular powder. Still, it had a strange aftertaste to it, albeit not as noticeable as in previous variations. I did use the entire container switching between this and two other brands.
