My mum has been working out at home for over 20 years, and my great auntie (91) still uses her room bike daily! Therefore, exercising runs in my DNA 😊. All other protein powders I used until now clump massively if I add them to water. This powder, however, is easy to mix either way. I usually whisk it manually with a small metal whisk and enjoy its delightful flavour and immense benefits. Nevertheless, I must confess that I always add a spoonful of collagen powder with my protein shake to enhance the benefits and almond milk powder. I consume approximately 55 grams of protein as such and also strengthen myself from the inside. But I always drink the shake within 5 to 10 minutes of finishing training. I am thrilled with this protein shake and ON products. If you can afford the price, you will not regret your decision.

There is no overpowering synthetic taste nor any unpleasant artificial aftertaste. * Cost comparison: Based on the current price of 15.00 for 310g this works out at around 1.50 per 31g portion, which is about 2.5 times the price of my current brand, which works out at 62p for the same size portion. The mouthfeel of both brands is very similar, although this Optimum Nutrition product make shade it slightly on flavour (but only based on this chocolate variant ... my usual brand has some other very impressive flavours in its range). So, in summary, although this is perfectly good product, it wouldn't tempt me away from my current regular product, simply because it is significantly more costly without offering markedly better quality. Personally I've been enjoying them with a milk/water mix - I prepare them by adding about 200-300ml skimmed milk first, then the powder, then topping up the shaker with water on top, which whips up a nice creamy shake that is still quite refreshing and not too heavy. Overall it's another winner from one of my favourite sports shake brands. My only gripe is that the pack is a little on the small side at 300g, but if the only down side is that I'd like more of it in a pack, then it must be a good one! A tasty thumbs up.

Likewise, how does the addition of Sucralose, an artificial sweetener and chlorinated sugar help the consumer? The sweetness is absolutely overbearing and leaves a HORRIBLE aftertaste.Besides the bad taste, there's a divided opinion in the scientific world about the detrimental health effects of Sucralose. Just do a google search and draw your own conclusions.
