So I got a travel sized sample ($14 for 1.7oz) of this in my glam bag and I know from that you love this as much as I do! It's no wonder it's a best seller. It has: Broad Leaf Kelp Extract and Wheat Protein - cleanse and purify, dry and oily skin zones left balanced 💚 Tourmaline - holistic crystal 💚 mint leaf oil - energizing Well I have to say if you're into your skincare routine as self care, nothing beats the texture of this cleanser. It's somehow super creamy and super foaming at the same time, it just feels amazing on the skin! There is a mint scent, but it's spearmint instead of the sharper peppermint and I actually don't like mint but I like this. It's great first thing in the morning, though also good as a second cleanser at night in a double cleanse. My skin is on the drier side, vs in college when I used this and it was oily, so it's more stripping than I remember, but I find after I apply my serums and moisturizer it's fine. I already have a bunch of cleansers open, but still started using this when I got it last month! It's $25 for 5oz, $31 for the jumbo size 8.5, but there are sales (they just had a great black Friday sale!) Even though it's more expensive than my favorite drugstore brand, it's a decent price for a clean cleanser! If you have true combo skin this is a great cleanser. There are so few products made for combo skin and even fewer of those actually work.

Before I got this Origins face wash, I had another frothy face wash. I found out I prefer a frothier wash since it feels gentle and moisturizing on the skin. I had tried a few cream from Origins and thought I would give this product a try. After using it for about 2 weeks, I can say that my skin definitely have been feeling good, no bigger change besides for my skin being more moisturized and glowing. It’s always takes a while for your skin to get used to new skin products, but I really love the feeling my skin gets from it. Also the smell is very calming, it kinda has the scent of a black tea, which I love! I could definitely recommend if you’re looking for a more mousse face wash and want something that will work gently on every face.

Clearly you can tell by the picture I use this product regularly. A friend of mine gave me this product as a gift so I’m not actually sure how much it actually costs. But since receiving it I have used it almost every day. It is a creamy/frothy lightweight face wash. A little goes a long way. When you wash your face it turns your entire face white and almost looks like a face mask. It has a nice light smell to it almost unscented. Leaves your face feeling soft and has definitely helped with clearing my skin. Would. It recommend if you have really bad skin because this is not a harsh or deep cleaning wash and does not have exfoliate. I have sensitive skin and my skin has no reaction when I use it.

I have pretty sensitive skin. When I first got this, the squeaky clean feeling felt kind of scary...thought it would dry my skin out over time. Well, a few months ago I started to get really stubborn dry patches on my face that just would not go away with any moisturizers. I used this cleanser one day because my regular one ran out. Like magic, the dry patches were almost completely gone by the next AM. Soft, silky, supple skin overnight. When I don't use this cleanser for a few days, the dryness comes back, but I use this one night and they're gone again so they are manageable with my creams. I don't know how as this stuff stays on my skin for 10 seconds tops and is washed off but there you go.It does feel a bit like toothpaste I guess...there was some grittiness ... MoreI have pretty sensitive skin. But maybe that was because it was an old tube...it did not break me out or cause itchiness though. Just my new HG for my dry patches because nothing else seems to help.
I craved this for a long time and finally purchased it once my current face wash ran out. I've used it for a decent amount of time now and it's good. I mean it works - my skin tolerates it, it's non drying and my face is smooth after using. But!!! the smell and consistency is just to similar to toothpaste. It messes with my head when I use it in the morning. It's like I've reached for the wrong tube. And there is a lot of product left in the tube that is impossible to squeeze out. Usually when that happens I resort of scissors and decant the rest into a tub to use. But I actually think I'll just admit defeat and bin, and go back to what I was using before. I need a calmer, more tranquil sensation in the morning other than smearing Colgate over my face. Sorry! Lemme start off by saying this was a gift, I wouldn’t usually buy a cleanser like this, it has a couple issues. This cleanser is not pH balanced, thus it TOTALLY strips the skin of its natural oils that are supposed to be there. Moisture barrier = gone. Your face and hands get that “squeaky” feeling. Not a good sign in a cleanser. You’ll need to restore the moisture in your skin after using this, perhaps a 5.5 pH toner, a hydrating serum, or a rich moisturizer; even better, just get a different cleanser that’s actually non-stripping.Additionally, this cleanser is LOADED in essential oils, which are a proven irritant for sensitive or acne-prone skin, also known for aggravating rosacea, especially with long-term exposure. The only positive points are that I like the ... MoreLemme start off by saying this was a gift, I wouldn’t usually buy a cleanser like this, it has a couple issues. This cleanser is not pH balanced, thus it TOTALLY strips the skin of its natural oils that are supposed to be there. All in all, this is very expensive for a cleanser when there are way better, more affordable ones without problematic ingredients. A cleanser goes right down the drain. Skip this one.I otherwise recommend the Soon Jung 5.5 foaming cleanser. It’s like $8 and far from problematic. My all-time fav, leaves the skin hydrated while still cleansing thoroughly. Has a *similar* froth.
While I am a huge fan of many Origins products, including many discontinued ones, this cleanser is not for me. While it feels okay on my skin and isn't excessively drying, it does not keep my pores clear... even when used daily along with the Clear Improvement Mask several times per week. It also burns my eyes as I'm rinsing my face, a problem I haven't had with other Origins face washes previously used (Deep Down, Never a Dull Moment, Mega Mushroom) or other brands. I will probably try the newer Clear Improvement Cleanser soon but currently find the Aveeno moisturizing bar to be the best at clearing my pores and not over-drying my skin. And I went through all those Origins cleansers, as well as Clinique, Neutrogena, Almay, and Allercreme soaps/cleansers before finally discovering that. I first tried Checks and Balances many years ago when my skin was a little oilier and again, more recently, but it just doesn't seem suited for my olive-toned, chemically (glycols) sensitive skin that still gets clogged pores.
I bought this product a few days ago and I was excited to start using it. The smell is very pleasing and the consistency is good as well. I double cleanse with an oil cleanser first as one does, so I'm not sure if that affected the results of the product. Then I went in with this product. My face felt clean and refreshed after using. I washed my face at night and in the morning when I checked to see the results I had two new small pimples on my face and I thought maybe I just wasn't used to it but it shouldn't work like that anyway. I tried using it again about two more times and I had broke out even more. I'm not sure if it's my skin that didn't like this facial cleanser because I've heard very good reviews about it.
I was so excited to try this product, yet after the first time of using it, I knew it was not for me. If I had not spent the pandemic watching dermatologists and skin care enthusiasts online I may not have known what I know now about how your skin should feel after washing, and the way this cleanser leaves me skin is not right. My skin is literally squeaky clean, as in, it actually squeaked as I washed it.I like that the packaging is simple and clean, but it also looks a little cheap and not as premium as it is.On using the cleanser foam for the first time I was already unsure about the texture as I moved it around on my hands, but I gave it a go and even though I knew I didn't like it, I gave it a fair go. When moving it in circular motions around my face it did feel smooth and leave my skin feeling soft, but I found it difficult to dissolve from my skin and I felt that I almost had a film over my face for the first of the morning.I think it did an okay job of removing minimal make-up but not so good at removing full nighttime glam make-up. It just smeared it across my face.I also really didn't like the scent. It just smelt a bit 'off'. I wouldn't purchase it myself, nor would I recommend it. It reminds me of something I would have used when I first started using skincare as a teenager. I think there are much better products on the market for the same price.
I was concerned that the yummy minty smell may mean that this cleanser would maybe sting my eyes. But I've been using this cleanser for years and it did not ever burn my eyes. I like this as a great skin cleanser as well as on my lash extensions, it doesn't cause any shedding or oils to break down the glue.I have dry skin and I use moisturizer after every face wash, but this does not dry or strip my skin to feel dry. I use glycolic acid as well as a face scrub after cleansing so I get a great basic wash with this that doesn't interfere with any of my other skin care regimens.I never run out, this products lasts for months as it only requires a tiny pea size drop, lather in my hands and wash. It rinses clean and I love the smell! Try it, you won't regret it.
