I have a problem with moisturizers: I like to try a bunch and I’ve never really been loyal to one. I started this year off with the Tatcha water cream from a holiday gift set and then moved on to a drugstore Aveeno one and now I’ve been using this Origins one for the past month-ish. So far so good. I usually use at night only; I did notice it’s a lil bit pilly for morning but that’s fine since I typically like to opt for sunscreen or tinted moisturizer with SPF in the morning anyway. I have acne prone skin in some areas and I already use other products that have salicylic acid, like toners and spot creams, and honestly, I have not noticed much of a difference in my skin when my moisturizer has it versus not. But if you can afford Origins regularly (well you are on the Sephora website, not Walgreens) this particular one is solid too.

Best product EVER

I LOVE origins skin line. I went into Ulta looking for a recommendation for cystic acne, black heads and little breakouts on my cheeks that nothing was getting rid of....I've literally tried EVERYTHING...a girl recommended the origins checks and balance foam face wash...I fell in love with the first use and then decided to get the travel kit to try more products... Difference Within A Short Period of Time!

I've tried a few other brands before coming to this one and I do not regret it. This moisturizer leaves my face feeling baby soft, looking clear, and glowing! The moisturizer started working within a few days and you could tell my face was clearing up. I didn't use anything else while using this product to make sure that everything was going well. My acne has cleared up and now I don't have to worry about any big bumps! The texture of the product is light so you can easily spread it onto your face without worry of over usage. It has a "natural" kind of smell to it and it looks light grey. Doesn't take long to rub it in either. Takes less than five minutes! No camera filters/no more having to worry about editing photos! I tend to have relatively mild acne, but I always have blackheads/clogged pores around my nose. I began using this product in the hopes that it would get rid of some of those blackheads, without me having to do physical extractions of the blackheads, which leaves my skin red and irritated, and sometimes breaks the skin. I have generally used this product at night time, either under or on top of my other nightly products. The lotion is a grey color, which on first thought I feared would make my skin look dull, but that is not the case at all. When I rub in the moisturizer, if becomes colorless on my skin. I received this product free from BzzAgent and Origins in exchange for my honest review. Now, I have been using this product for over a month now and I have really enjoyed it, but I have needed to make some adjustments in its use. I started by using it every day twice a day, in the morning after washing my face and at night before bed. Unfortunately, this was a little too much use of the product for my skin. Overall the product is nice! The packaging is high quality and luxurious. Definitely not cheap. The moisturizer has a slight gray color (probably from the charcoal), when you first look at it, but it does not make your face gray when applying it on. For me I think this product is okay. It contains salicylic acid, which definitely made my skin purge after starting to use it. My skin has been purging for a while so I'm not sure if I like salicylic acid in my skincare routine (I prefer lactic acid since its better for dry skin types). But I do see the pore minimizing effects. Since I was given the full size of this product, it will definitely last a while since a little bit goes a long way! Its application isn't thick so it's easy to wear.

Refreshed face with moisture non-oily acne control

This product is not greasy but hydrates well. I love that my skin is so soft and supple. I have not had any breakouts, flaky skin and I can feel that my face can “breathe” due to no pore clogging and no greasy film. My blackheads have reduced dramatically and I have radiance again. The minty feel is refreshing, smooth and not overpowering or irritating. I first got a tiny sample free from Sephora and used it every day for over a week. A little goes a long way. I use cera ve hydrating cleanser but have found that their bar soap feels cleaner and leaves my skin as a clean palette ready to soak up Origins Clear Improvement Moisturizer, rather than the pump moisturizing cleanser that feels more like an oily lotion. Oh! And this Origins moisturizer is a great primer, I use it EVERY time before my foundation because it fills in to the pores and does not allow the foundation to soak in but allows it to still coat and feel creamy and can use anything from full coverage to light wear. Let your Origins have a few minutes to dry and soak in before applying foundation. Best when used immediately after cleaning your face. Best product that I have found so far. I’m 49 & began to loose my youthful glow until I started using this! Hormonal breakouts around my chin and jawline are gone and have not returned. Great for any age!

I’m really fortunate to have found the right nightly ritual to keep my acne at bay, so I can’t comment on whether or not this clears skin. However, the GLOW I got from this was incredible. It’s hard to describe, I definitely recommend at least trying it as long as you don’t have super sensitive skin, which either this might not be for you or you have to take it extra slow. I’ve only been using it every other night for two weeks so I will update next time I break out on if it can clear it faster. Also, no face makeup in these photos, just eyeshadow, eye liner, mascara, and faded lip tint (and fantastic 7 pm sunset lighting to be totally fair)
