I got this just less than a week ago. Although I am in love with the Signature series, I don't feel that this is quite as good as the 18" Fast and 18" Full. My heart fluttered upon coming home to my new baby. I couldn't wait to play it. I am not at all disappointed. I just don't think it is as majestic as the other two. I don't know if it is the way that Power crashes are made. I returned my 2002 Power crash to get this. This is by far a better cymbal, but it just sounds more brassier to me than the Fast and Full. It is definitely from the Signature family, though, because it still has the clear, clean, and crisp feel as the others do. I definitely have adjusted to the different sound because lately I can hardly tell. It now just blends in with other two to make a ... MoreI got this just less than a week ago. I can't wait to get my 18" Crystal. I will then be complete.

Without a doubt the best sounding cymbals hands down. Bright and warm, with cut galore. If you play agressive or louder music, this will do the job and also sounds good when hit softer, too!

Best crash and worth every dollar

These are the best sounding crash cymbals I could find. I was looking around, my dad works at a music store...and I tried tons of cymbals. The paistes although more expensive sounded the best. So what if it took two extra weeks of me working, it was worth every dollar. I have the 16 and 18 in crashes and they are both amazing. I have also taken a liking to the 20 which i might purchase soon.

I love this cymbal, the best crash out there (well it should be for the price we have to pay but; I believe it is rather weak for its price. I have two they both cracked. Regardless they sound amazing.

There must be a reason why its the most popular crash paiste artists that play rock/metal use!! I own the 17" and it`s the best sounding thing I`ve ever heard! Its so warm and powerful! Paiste are really the best!

Worth Every Penny!

Do yourself a favor if your a drummer and buy this cymbal...period. I used the 18" in the studio and loved it so much i bought both the 19" and 20" and haven't looked back since. They are loud enough for any live situation but musical enough for any studio. There are very very few cymbals if any that can do both these things. And lastly, but more importantly, not only are they durable as heck but they sound absolutely beautiful. Take my word for it, order the cymbal, get the cymbal, play the cymbal, be happy:)

I've had my 18 inch since they came out, I had bought the lighter 18 and broke it right away, but the lighter model sounded better. I replaced it with the power because I was in a metal band at the time and wanted "the best" in my kit. It is still one of two 18's I use in my kit today. The other is an 18 Alpha Thin from the early 90's. Don't overlook the Alphas used, they are the best sound vs. dollar cymbal ever made before or since. I picked some alphas over anything else at times when cash was no problem to buy what I wanted. The 18 signature is broad spectrum, as is the trademark of the series. There is no better cymbal to use mattets on. Mallets vibrate cymbals for all they are worth, and the signatures will just keep giving. Excellent in symphonic work. In rock, the 18 power, when smashed with a stick, is the loudest 18 I have ever encountered, even more than a rude. Good classy revenge on gutarists. AC/DC's "live at donnington" is a great visual and audio look at what signatures can do in rock. For jazz, the 18 power is the perfect ride, and is unobtrusive in a small club scenerio. Worth the cost.

After hearing and playing on my instructors set. I went right out and ordered mine. Loud or soft it has amazing sound. After playing Sabian AAX for five years (still great cymbals) I am sold on paiste.

very loud and musical
16 June 2006

This cymbal is the perfect crash for my style of playing. It is sufficiently loud to be heard over driving metal riffs, yet has very musical qualities that are rare at such a high volume. I own the 18" and will soon be buying the 16" and the 20". This cymbal also sounds suprisingly good when played softly.
