The Penhaligon’s Changing Constance perfume has an absolutely beautiful scent! I feel more elegant wearing it. I used to wear perfume that had more fruity or citrus notes to them, but the warm notes of this perfume are gorgeous. Honestly, I think this is my new favorite perfume. It wears well and isn’t overpowering. The scent is sophisticated and modern. This is truly a lovely high-quality perfume that I’ll be wearing for days to come.

This is such a wonderful fragrance. While the price is pretty steep, the longevity and siliage is what you’d expect to find at this price point. The scent is warm, cozy, and sweet without feeling overpowering. the caramel and vanilla notes stand out the most on my skin and lingers for the entire day without having to reapply. This perfume would be perfect for fall or winter months, or an evening out if going for a more fun and flirty vibe. It smells luxurious, modern and youthful without feeling too young for my late 30s taste.

I just began using the Changing Constance and I really do like the woody, warm vanilla fragrance that it has on my skin. I have found that perfumes smell different on people due to pheromones, so I was a bit worried, but The Changing Constance suits me well. The fragrance lasts all day without having to apply again, which I appreciate. I prefer a fresh, soapy, clean fragrance though. This fragrance was a bit too sweet with the caramel undertone.

So let me talk about this perfume because it smells so amazing! I can’t even describe it but I kept sniffing my wrist it was so addicting! Obviously everyone will get a slightly different reaction to your own body scent but for me it had a vanilla cashmere warm scent to it. If a warm hug could be a scent it would be this! Also the scent lasted forever! I washed my hands a ton that day but could still very strongly smell the scent. And it’s not overpowering. Just the right amount of power to it. I can’t comment on the bottle since I had a sample, but it’s cute with the animal head as seen in the photo online.
Honestly I do not know when exactly I would wear this. It reminds me of artificial vanilla flavoring and those vanilla candles. Maybe I would wear this around family parties like Christmas. It does smell lovely and comforting. The smell does fade to a more subtle version of itself given some time.I do love the little story given about the name. It’s charming and fun to read. The story does describe the perfume in a cute yet accurate vision.
I received this a few weeks ago and was immediately impressed by the scent of the product and now long it lasted after applying it to my skin. The scent was like nothing I had tried before. Sweet but also with some underlying muskiness. I liked that it was different than the overly floral fragrances that are all being sold-this fragrance was truly unique. I would be interested in trying other fragrances from this line in the future!
Very smooth, consistent, and alluring fragrance. Long lasting. Wears well with other spice based fragrance. Love it and recommend for all lovers of warm fragrances.
