I've been a consumer of Select protein for years now having purchased more than 25 tubs of protein over these years. I decided to try the new white chocolate macadamia nut protein flavor after hearing about the new release.I will start out by saying, it is by far the most bland flavor in their current offering. I would give it a 3/5 for flavor. The main purpose of my 2 star review is that I am experiencing SEVERE stomach cramping, gas, and bloating with this new flavor after three days of use. I had a full scoop the first day I received it and was in pain. I tried it again the next day thinking it was a fluke and had the same issue. On the third day, I opted for half a serving to test my reaction and experienced the same symptoms. I have not had this happen with ... They were to quick to respond in denial claiming I am the only one who has had any issues which after a quick social media search appears to be false. They told me to send it back on my dime for a gift card with no concern over something could be wrong. Overall, their customer service is lacking even though some of their products are pretty dang good. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I will definitely be reconsidering my purchases from here on out.

First off, I'm so glad PE Science does the single samples!!!! Like other brands need to get on the sample wave immediately!!! I've tried every single flavor and the only one I truly wasnt a fan of was Strawberry Cheesecake. I think maybe they should try a strawberries and cream flavor or even a blueberry pie or something, but otherwise all the other flavors are DELISH. My absolute faves are Snickerdoodle, Chocolate Truffle, and Cookies and Cream. I am not a cookies and cream person but their c&c powder is something else, I dont find it too sweet and it also smells so yummy. That's also why i love the chocolate truffle, it's not too sweet and works well when you combine it in oats or smoothies or whatever floats ur boat. Snickerdoodle can be a little sweet, but I ... Sometimes I heat up almond or oat milk and mix in snickerdoodle and its almost like horchata lol. Will continue to repurchase as I've already done many times!!!!

I wanted to love this one, but it is very similar to the cake pop flavor; which isn't bad. I don't really get the white chocolate macadamia taste that I had hoped for. You do get a hint of white chocolate, but for me it's subtle. I mix with milk, so the flavors should come through but they dont. I gave it three stars, because like most of their products it still mixes very well, seems fresh, and tastes better than most competitors. There is no weird chemical taste, it usually doesn't clump up, and if it does that's usually my fault. Still a good option if you want to try something new and dont mind subtle flavors. It's not like the cookies and cream flavor that tastes like melted icecream when mixed with milk.
I got a small five-serving bag of this flavor from Amazon after a dessert recipe I wanted to try called for this specific brand, and when I tried it as just a plain protein shake, I loved it!However, let me point something out: this stuff is SWEET. Brutally, painfully sweet. Mind you, I'm not a wuss, I can hold my sugar. I can eat straight buttercream frosting and not get sick like most people I know. But one scoop of this powder per eight ounces of water/milk is insanely sweet. I have to use twice the liquid or half the powder to make it less overpowering. But hey, that just means I can enjoy twice as much shake! This stuff is like healthy chocolate milk. Not sure if it tastes like a cupcake, but it's a deliciously sweet chocolate shake that's a great way to ... Not sure if it tastes like a cupcake, but it's a deliciously sweet chocolate shake that's a great way to start your morning. As far as the texture, the powder is much finer than what I've seen with other protein powders and it blends very smoothly (I don't know how well it mixes just shaking it).I've also used it successfully in chocolate protein pancakes, so it seems to cook nicely too! If you need a protein fix and you love chocolate, this is absolutely worth it! If you can't hande super sweet things, I would definitely suggest doing what I do and either using 16 ounces of liquid per scoop, or half a scoop (about 16 grams) per eight ounces of liquid. Or play with powder/liquid ratios to find what works for you because the way I like it might even be too sweet for you.
If you don't like the sweetness of the other flavors, this one is better (I like the line of protein powders, and I usually mix with a bunch of stuff so the sweetness doesn't bother me as much) then the other flavors. The reason I keep returning to PES is the overall flavor and the ability to bake with PES. 100% casein is best, but this one works pretty well too. I rarely just blend with water, but when I do it mixes really well compared to other brands (ON and Dymatize). Most days I mix with Greek yogurt, fruit, creatine, milk, and frozen fruit, and this is where the powder stands out most for me. It adds a touch of sweetness to the shake, and, most importantly, it blends really well. The variety of flavors from PES is good, and I haven't had one I dislike thus ... For the shakes I make, they come out rich, creamy and generally filling.Cake pop: I knocked a star off because the cake flavor is quite subtle. I wasn't expecting a mouthful of Starbucks cakepop, but it was still pretty week. If you are hoping for a strong cake pop flavor, you won't get it. Having said that, it's not bad at all; it just doesn't hit your tongue with cake pop. It bakes pretty well, and I just used this powder to make pumpkin muffins which came out pretty good. I usually use a casein only, and I cooked for a tad too long; but the inside was still really moist and doesn't have the cardboard effect of Whey only protein.
I really like the two proteins that I purchased, cake pop and strawberry cheesecake. I have to admit, I don't really get strawberry cheesecake flavor but it's good especially in berry smoothies. I really enjoy using this protein powder in my smoothies since it adds extra protein and makes my smoothies creamy and thicker. I am personally not a fan of drinking protein powder with milk or water alone. I have also baked with this now and found that it bakes super well, I really enjoyed the brownies I made with them. Would buy again, however, not sure if the flavors are very accurate. The cake pop is kind of like a vanilla to me so I use it in pretty much anything while I use the strawberry cheesecake for fruity smoothies and haven't baked with it yet.I also enjoy that ... The protein content is good for a protein powder, however, I can't tell if they;re third party tested or not.
I LOVE this protein. I work at a nutrition store so I have been fortunate enough to have access to all of the flavors. I also do a lot of anabolic cooking with this protein. And every flavor I have either tried or purchased has been excellent! The macros are great and the flavors are superb. If I had to choose a least favorite of them all, I would say the strawberry cheesecake flavor. Not that it is at all bad, it just doesn't have enough cheesecake flavor for me. It is more of a weak strawberries and cream flavor.I just received the pumpkin pie flavor yesterday and have already made protein fluff and pancakes with it. And OMG is it fantastic! I ordered several sample packs (which I highly recommend doing by the way) so that I could see what I like best. PEScience actually sent me a few extra and I was able to let my wife try the Cake Pop while I tried the Snickerdoodle.Firstly, let me say - wow - the Snickerdoodle is crazy good. I immediately ordered a 55 serving container and now at the end of the evening when I get my protein shakes, I'm looking forward to it like an actual treat.Secondly, regarding the Cake Pop sample, my wife isn't a big protein shake person. However, she was incredibly impressed with the Cake Pop flavor. When she finished making it, it was gone in about 30 seconds as she just chugged it. She commented on how she thought she'd need to add something to it, but nope! Just powder ... Usually not a fan of chocolate protein powder. It leaves such a bad aftertaste in my mouth and is almost disgustingly sweet. I didn't mind the Chocolate mint that much, but the I had to force myself to eat the frosted cupcake and chocolate pb cup ones.As such I was a little hesitant to try the new-ish Chocolate Truffle Flavor, but WOW. I am amazed how good it is. It's definitely less sweet and feels richer than the rest, and has become one of my favorite flavors of all time. From simple shakes to ice cream and baking it's been such a pleasant surprise. If you're like me and weren't a fan of the other chocolate ones because they tasted too sweet/artificial, but like actual chocolate, definitely give this one a try!
