What to expect Pommery Brut Royal is the essence of the Pommery style: liveliness, fresh, finesse. From 40 selected villages in the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims and other areas in the Champagne region where the liveliness and delicacy of the chardonnay grape is enhanced by the climate. It's an equal blend of all 3 major varieties. The dosage sits at 10 g/l residual sugar. As with all Pommery wine making, full malo-lactic fermentation is encouraged as is the use of stainless steel. With a medium-straw hue and flavours of red apple, bruised pear and grapefruit, this is a cuvée of firm phenolic bite and redcurrant and lemon-accented acidity, with the toasty meringue notes of lees age contrasting the candied, honeyed effect of dosage. Tyson Stelzer - The Champagne Guide About the House One of the Grand Marques of Champagne and rightly so. Madame Louise Pommery took over the small family vineyard at a young age after the unfortunate passing of her husband left her with a young child and an even more immature business in the Pommery & Greno Estate. Louise was an early #GirlPower pioneer, not only because she ran a business at a time when men dominated just about everything, but because she came up with a number of groundbreaking ideas, including storing wines in temperature controlled caves and producing the first Brut (dry) Champagne. When she passed at 71 years, she was the first woman to be given a state funeral in France. Food Suggestions This is aperitif country. Enjoy chilled around 8-10 degrees celsius.

The first impression is of a refined bouquet where hawthorn and jasmine reveal themselves in turn. Citrus notes on the nose gradually open up with toasted hints of brioche and honey. Fresh, elegant and mineral... A must try

Best champagne I have ever tasted! I don't like dry wines or champagnes, which most are when purchasing Champagne certainly the well known brands anyway. This champagne has a slight sweetness which I love it's not dry at all. This is now my go to Champagne as it doesn't need anything else added to it, it's so easy to drink and enjoyable. If you don't like dry wines this is the champagne for you

I was in the wine business for over 30 years. Love Pommery. Unfortunately we got a bad bottle. No bubbles, and an orange hue. Disappointing Not their standard..

Bought this as part of a six-pack to compare various price points. Low carbonation made this very easy to drink and the fruity flavors were almost saliva-inducing (hence my title). Would buy again for special occasions.
I love this Champagne, so glad I can have it so close to home. It hasn't been so easy to find in the States. I toured Pommery in Reims, France in 2017, it was the first time I had ever even heard of it and I fell in love with the Brut Cuve. It's crisp with a very light sweetness my favorite. Thank you Total wine for stocking Pommery!
If you are in search of an inexpensive bottle of Champagne, you have found it! Pommery Brut Royal NV has an elegant nose of toast, yeast, brioche and clean fruit. It's light and refreshing with surprising depth of flavor. With just the right amount of acid, it finishes with a creamy mousse, and it pairs remarkably well with food - a nice treat!
I purchased a small 4 pack of Pommery as a gift years ago. Was not a huge bubbly fan then, until I tasted this fabulous champagne. Very smooth and light on the tongue. Very small, light bubbles that to me are just right. No lingering aftertastes. Not many compare to Pommery in my humble opinion for its great taste, smooth texture. I am not an expert but I do enjoy champagne these days. I have found price tag sometimes doesn’t matter. It’s all personal preference.
Pommery Brut Royal has become our Champagne of choice for special and not-so-specal occasions. An ideal balance of fruit, mineral and bubbles with a nice finish...and at a reasonable price. Worth trying if you want something a bit more refined than other sparkling wines.
We visited the Pommery Champagne House in Reims, France, last summer. This became our favorite immediately after sampling many other champagnes. We were excited to find it in the Total Wine Store and will be back for more. The taste is smooth and we do not get a headache after drinking the entire bottle!! Love it and so happy we know where to find it for our special occasions.
