I have always been skeptical of cold creams. They just seem so old-fashioned and inconvenient, but this product has completely changed my mind. I just take about a grape-sized amount of product (a little more if I am wearing very heavy or waterproof eye makeup) massage it around my face for about ten seconds, then wipe it away with a cotton pad. It is so much easier than a standard cleanser and it removes more makeup than a makeup wipe. Plus, it moisturizes the skin so you don't have to follow up with a separate product if you don't want! I prefer the fragrance free version because it does feel a little bit more modern than the scented one. There are still some days I use a regular face wash, but in the drier winter, I find myself reaching toward this product more ... MoreI have always been skeptical of cold creams. I heard that ponds reproduce its famous cold cream and I want to see if it’s worth the hype. I’m super disappointed. I hate it as a makeup remover! It does not rinse off after breaking off makeup. These oil based cream should’ve emulsify with warm water but this doesn’t. It becomes an oil film and does not come off no matter how I rinse. A washcloth has to be used to take it off but I can just use micellar water if I need a washcloth. And it doesn’t clean as well as micellar water After wiping it off I use micellar water on my face again to see if all makeup was taken off and turned out it didn’t!!! I’ve tried many different ways to use this as makeup remover and it just cannot take my makeup off entirely!! Total waste of money should have stick with micellar water

This stuff is like magic! Photo taken after using product and wiping off with cotton pads. It removes my waterproof mascara and eyeliner with ease. I apply a pea sized amount to each side of my face, spread it around and allow it to sit for 30 seconds. (Be sure to keep your eyes closed because it is uncomfortable to get in your eyes) After allowing it to sit I massage it in with my fingers until I can feel the mascara is removed. Then wipe off with a towel or cotton pad. I always wash my face afterwards to remove the oily residue. This is my favorite because it requires minimal effort. Previous makeup removers have needed a lot more abrasion and made my lashes fall out but this stuff is so gentile!

I’ve used this product once. Just ONCE. And it’s amazing. I have read all sorts of mixed reviews. Personally, I love it. Just as many other reviews state, it is a little hard to get off in just one or two wipes, and does leave a thin layer on your skin. But, from someone with fairly oily skin when dehydrated, and someone who lives in a hot and dry place in the summer, I find this product is just the right fit. It makes my skin look amazing and feel amazing. I wish there was a body wash cleanser! Or is there? Either way, I’ll spend the $5 dollars for what this little miracle worker of a cleanser does any day of the week. I hope this helps.
I got combination skin and this did not break me out! It smells divine. I was sitting in the bus and thought wow...this person in front of me smells amazing, when I arrived home I realised the smell was still there- it was this cream!!!!! This makes my skin so glowy and baby-like, also so SOFT AND SMOOTH! My skin is just wow. WOW. I was worried when I got this since apparently half cleansing and half moisturising, but its awesome! Make sure not to wash off with water, I did and that didn't work. I apply the cream to my face and I was a towel with warm water and squeeze it, and then I press/wipe my face with it, cheeks may go pink cause the pressure. I literally just wake up and use pond, and then sun cream! Not sure if i'll use a moisturiser yet, seems to be going ... MoreI got combination skin and this did not break me out! It smells divine. Not sure what went wrong here. I do agree with other people that the ingredients must have changed. It removed my makeup but I needed to really work at it and it ended up being drying while also still leaving a layer of grease on my skin even after washing my face with cleanser. More importantly, though, is what it did to my skin. I have never had sensitive skin and almost never breakout. After using this for about two weeks, I started getting tiny little hard bumps all over my face. I finally stopped using it and after a week they’ve been clearing up and no new ones have appeared. It seemed to have just clogged up my skin.
I rarely write reviews and it’s unfortunate that I’m writing one about a ponds product, but this product of theirs is just awful. I really enjoy their dry skin cream for my dry skin, it’s perfect. But their cleansing balm is horrible! It’s super thick and does not remove makeup, no matter how hard I scrub. It literally just feels like I’m applying thick moisturizer to my face. I do not recommend this product. Hopefully someday they can turn this product into more of a thin, balm-like substance that semi-dissolves in water like most makeup removing balms do! Until then, I have really been enjoying the elf cleansing balm (cheaper) and the versed cleansing balm (a little more pricey).
Worst product from ponds I've used in a while. It has that traditional Ponds fragrance that I don't like. It smells dusty, and the cream doesn't work to remove makeup like advertised. I was disappointed with how little makeup was removed compared to the e.l.f. holy hydration cleansing balm. Like other reviews reported, it leaves an oily residue that the packaging instructs to wipe off with a towel or rinse with warm water. Warm water didn't work for me, and I have reservations about wiping my dirty makeup caked face on a washcloth or towel. I don't use towels and washcloths like that. The only thing that o could really say about it is that it's moisturizing.
A dermatologist recommended this for removing makeup and sunscreen before using a regular cleanser, but she uses/recommends a fragrance-free version. I didn't realize this one has fragrance, since the other one doesn't appear to be sold here. I'm not really sensitive to fragrances, but wowee, this is STRONGLY scented. I used it an hour ago, and I can still smell it on my face after 1. cleansing, 2. using an overnight peel, 3. a moisturizer, 4. a scented eye cream, 5. full body moisturizer, and 6. squalane oil over it. Maybe there is still some on my face, which brings me to the second issue--I could NOT get it off. I first wiped the majority off with a washcloth, then went in with my usual Cerave cleanser. I then went back with additional cleanser--so at least twice ... MoreA dermatologist recommended this for removing makeup and sunscreen before using a regular cleanser, but she uses/recommends a fragrance-free version. I didn't wear makeup today--just sunscreen--so I can't judge that part, but my face normally feels far cleaner after cleansing.
