It lathered nicely and had a very slight citrusy scent to it. My hair and scalp felt really clean, but not stripped of all moisture. After washing my hair, I used the conditioner and leave-in treatment as instructed and dried/styled my hair. I noticed that my hair looked SUPER healthy and full of body, which was a pleasant change from its usual damaged flat look! I must admit, I’ve gotten a little lazy with my hair the past year or so and it really shows, especially with the breakage and frizz… Using this 3-step system made a huge difference in the strength and health of my hair! I am happy to recommend this Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo and the rest of the products that go with it!

I've used redken's color protecting line before and really loved their products. I feel like you really get a salon quality product at a fairly reasonable price. I used this as part of the set, paired with the shampoo. I did not like the shampoo at all but I did not hate this conditioner. I liked the texture and consistency on this. It was very concentrated so a little goes a long way for this one as well. It's packaged in the same quantity and format as the shampoo which is fairly compact while also housing a lot of product. With the shampoo I noted a very tangy acidic smell which was noticeably not as pungent in the conditioner. The conditioner has more of a fruity smell and was much more traditionally fragrant. AMAZING!

I was not expecting this shampoo and conditioner to be this good. I been using all soft on and off for year's. I didn't think anything could top it and this shampoo and conditioner is a forreal game changer for me. I have low porosity curly hair. I don't always wear my hair curly i do blowouts as well and this shampoo and conditioner works great for curly and blowout's. Not all shampoo and conditioners work for both curly to blowdrying on my hair and this does. My hair struggle's with build up and this left so buildup at all this leaves my hair shiny and soft with no frizz not greasy at all. It didn't weigh my hair down either it does everything I can ask for in a shampoo and conditioner. Cleans super well!!

Tbh, I was very scared that this product wouldn't clean well because of it's lack of sulfates. Even though I knew that formulation is what matters and that there are shampoos with sulfates that clean gently and vice versa. I was worried I was going to need a clarifying shampoo. Prior to this, I used one sulfate shampoo with a pH of 4.5 and one sulfate shampoo with a pH of around 5.5. This shampoo cleansed my hair better than both of them! I was shook! I also had a lot of product on my hair prior. I had recently bought an overnight treatment by Sisley that you put on your hair prior to shampooing. I used it for the 1st time as well. It made me wonder if my sulfate shampoo wasn't cleaning my hair well. My sulfate shampoo had a small ingredients list too. I think it had only one oil in it and maybe 1 other conditioning agent. This shampoo has no oils but it does have conditioning agents such as dimethicone which is also a silicone. So yeah, I was worried. But not anymore and I'm no longer looking for a clarifying shampoo now because I definitely don't need one with this!

Holy Grail!

For reference, (33F) I have long, thick, corse, wavy hair. Hispanic. Its not colored treated. My ends werent horrible but deff not great as I air dry and straighten and curl it often. Also, use drying styling products. First time I used this was in the salon when it first came out. Got a full treatment. I was blown away! My hair hadn't been that healthy since before I had my children. After one use of the whole line. It was managable and dried faster than it had in years. The Holy Grail!You can get sample sizes of the leave in treatment and intensive treatment that are around $13 to save money which last me about a month with hair washes two to three times a week and splurge on the shampoo and conditioner. Of course I wish it was cheaper but at the end of the day if I know something works

After my first wash I noticed my wave pattern was significantly more defined, and it was slightly less dull than it usually is after washing it and air drying. I've used it for the last month and half, and ended up purchasing the liters. To be fair I thought they were on sale, but was a little b and didn't just go with the smaller sizes after finding out they were full price. In the amount of time I've used this product, my wave pattern stays more defined in between washes without styling products, its a lot softer without using a leave-in conditioner, its definitely a lot less frizzy, and I don't need to do the curly girl method (don't like it, not worth the effort for me). I've seen that a lot of other people have noticed a lot of hair loss after using this product, but I'm glad to say that isn't the case for me.

I used it to wash my hair, condition, and then used the leave-in conditioner! Oh my gosh, the results are amazing!!! In just one use my hair is much better and much more healed! In just one use!!! I have light brown hair that has been highlighted with baby lights to blonde, and I know that bleach and heat really hurt hair. But I prefer to be blonde. Noticing that more and more split ends were breaking off and falling on my bathroom floor over the past couple months, and an overall hay feeling when I touched my hair, I bought this acidic bonding shampoo and conditioner (liters, because I was sure the videos/reviews were true). Not kidding, by the time you get to run your fingers through your hair to comb in the conditioner, it is like trying to comb through clay from third grade art class stuck in your hair. Thinking that for sure, Redken would not make a product like this and my hair just needed to get used to it, I made the mistake of using it again a few days later and lost the same amount of hair. The pictures speak for themselves. This was just the hair that I caught in my hand, And it does not account for all the hair that went down my drain. It will pull your hair out from the route. Thankfully Ulta has a great return policy and I was able to get a refund. This week, I switched to the Redken extreme bleach recovery shampoo and the extreme conditioner. I know these two don't actually go together, but the Ulta store was out of the matching conditioner. I lost maybe five hairs in my hand in the shower when I switched. I firmly believe Redken needs to pull this product and test it again to the market they are selling to.

Turns out I should have just gone off of my own experience because I tried this and absolutely hate it despite the great reviews. My hair looks, and feels, like straw. After the first use, I thought maybe I did something wrong so I washed with Olaplex and did the Amica mask for my next weekly washing and my hair felt great again. The following week (today) I washed again with this set and again, my hair feels terrible. It's dry, frizzy, feels dead, and looks poofy.
