Excellent product for a book club, well worth the $5. The bookmarks are attractive and sturdy printed out on card stock paper - our bookclub members will love them. Some great recipe ideas, party themes, and excellent discussion questions. I also like the visuals of the book jacket as sold in other countries - will make for interesting conversation. Thumbs up on this purchase!

I’m hosting my 3rd book club and love having these digital packets to download. I was able to import them into Goodnotes and fill out the Meeting Record along with altering the cover page of this packet to our book club name. The discussion questions, quotes, character list, bonus section and bookmark print out was perfection. I did not include the hosting ideas and icebreakers in the packet for my members but love the ideas. I wish they had a packet available for every book we plan to read going forward! I highly recommend these packets. Also, I sized and printed them on A5 paper and they all printed out great!

A good read when life makes you feel hungover

This is a healing book. I bought this after moving into another country and dealing with all kinds of stress. This book is low stress but still captivating and moving. It's the equivalent of a hallmark movie without being overly cheesy and left me feeling warm and content.

Delightful

This book was delightful right from the get go. I loved Marcellus, the giant Pacific octopus, who was always escaping and finding treasures to horde. He was very intelligent, or so he thought, and took a fancy to Tova. Tova was the cleaning person who came in the evening to clean the glass and floors of the aquarium. She lived alone. Her son died when he was just 18 and her and her husband Will had a very hard time with that. She would talk to Marcellus and he would come closer and extend his limb to comfort her. Fantastic Book!

I read this book not knowing what to expect. It made me curious, happy, sad at times, happy again, and just tugged on my heart strings! It was beautifully written and so different than anything else I've read this year. I HIGHLY recommend this book. I waited for MONTHS for it from the library, and purchased it immediately halfway through the book because I loved it so much already! A feel good, beautiful story.

Good price for a new book

This was the cheapest price I could find this book anywhere, new or used. So I wasn’t super upset when it arrived a little banged up. The cover was in good shape but the hardcover book itself had some damage and many of the pages would stick together, like they weren’t quite cut all the way apart after printing. None of this affected my reading. Great story, easy read. I recommend it.

Great read with a crusty octopus who has a secret to share.

This is a delightful book that hooked me from chapter one, and kept me hooked until the end. The final blending of several characters' stories was poignant and satisfying. It's a great read with a crusty octopus who has a secret to share. He can't speak, but finds amazing ways to communicate.

Heartfelt Story

I absolutely loved this book. I brought it on my vacation and I almost finished it in one day, I had to force myself to put it down to last longer. The Marcellus character was genius, I love how much research she put into the octopus to make it as realistic as possible and his parts in the book made it even better. Tova was also a sweet character, she was so easy to connect with. This book is one of my favorite books, if not my favorite book so far!

Heartwarming

Such a heartwarming story! It took me a little while to get fully invested in it, but once the characters and plot lines started coming together I was hooked. I'll be honest, I was skeptical at first when I saw the premise of the book. I didn't know how they could make an octopus POV not be cheesy, but man do I love Marcellus! His friendship with Tova was so adorably sweet. Cameron on the other hand was a tough character to like. The way he acted came across as a teenager/young adult and I kept having to remind myself he was 30.

Remarkably Bright Creatures was a terrific book. I loved the story, the characters and the magic of the talking Great Pacific Octopus. I didn't want the story to end. I loved how the characters all "grew" and evolved as humans in the story. I laughed, I cried, and I felt warm all over from the heartbreaking things that we humans go thru, as exemplified by Tova and the rest of the characters. I would recommend this to everyone.
