Literally purchased this game in store, from the electronics department, out of the locked case and when I got home to wrap the item for my child, I found that the game card was stolen out of the case!!! Can’t review a game that I purchased for Christmas because it was never in there in the first place. So disappointed and it’s not like I can return it because I can’t prove that it wasn’t in there when I purchased it. Ugh. This is the second time this has happened. So disappointed.

Bought this game for my son and it came very quickly to our home in being delivered the very next day. It has 2 games for the price of one and is action packed; which he loves. He likes that he can play online with his friends and save his game to his Nintendo account. We recommend this game for the price and play.

Quality, first class survival horror at it's best.

I have these games on the Gamecube originally, so I know how they play and how good they are anyway - the graphics on that was good enough. But these have been enhanced for HD visual and are crisp rather than grainy on the gamecube on big HD tele's. I have downloaded the original resident evil remake on xbox 360 which was played through HDMI cable which was fantastic and crisp clear. I can only imagine that these two games are almost exactly the same quality if not better. I haven't actually opened this item yet but it came fully sealed from the manufacture which is what I was after. I haven't had time to sit down and play this game yet but for the price I couldn't ignore it, so it is there for me when I eventually do sit down and replay it on the playstation 4. ... MoreI have these games on the Gamecube originally, so I know how they play and how good they are anyway - the graphics on that was good enough. Resident Evil Still Amazing
6 November 2018

This classic game is still an amazing game to play. The graphics have been updated to current HD standards giving it a cleaner, smoother look. The game itself is more challenging than most newer games being released today. If you haven't played this classic game then you're missing out. And as a bonus a prequel to the original game is included in this version. Fantastic gameplay & storyline. Overall I give this game package two thumbs up & five stars across the board.

Resident Evil the way it used to be.

A chance to play some classic Resident Evil the way it used to be with graphics that easily hold up today and haven't aged a bit. The slow pace, flick screen approach and resource managing works so well adding the tension around every corner and every room. These remastered versions give you the option of improving the control system which helps massively and recommended. These two games were originally released on the Game Cube and the Remake is certainly the definitive way to play the first game, improving so much in every way on the original (apart from the old live action scenes which were great on the PS1). Resident Evil 0 looks and feels like more of the same but with a few changes to how it plays with item management and co-op with a CPU character. I'd start with that before approaching 0.

When Resident Evil Returns, Stand Up.
3 April 2018

The classic returns in beautiful hd quality. A definite upgrade that every Resident Evil fan deserves. This title is also great for newcomers that want to add more horror games to their collection. The controls feel even more responsive as does the camera angle, when it comes to combat and aiming. The sound effects and quality bring back so many memories when thinking of playing this title for the first time whether the PlayStation or Nintendo platforms. The difficulty level of the AI, I assure you, is challenging. The dialogue and cut scenes show just how was put into this remaster with smooth edges and synced detail. It is worth it to add this to your inventory for hours of fun, horrifying gameplay.

[Rewarded Review] A Glorious Foray Into Survival Horror

The Resident Evil series is undoubtedly one of the most well known horror-themed video game franchises around. This particular collection - Resident Evil Origins - is of special interest to fans new and old alike because it encompasses the beginnings of the series all together. Resident Evil Zero is a prequel to the first game and Resident Evil is a remake of the original game that came out for the Playstation many, many moons ago. Those that are familiar with the series from Resident Evil 4 and beyond may be a bit surprised at the game format present here. Instead of having a somewhat shooter-like gaming mechanism, both games in Resident Evil Origins utilize a fixed camera perspective that changes based upon where your character is in an area. As such, the controls and the direction you need to pursue to navigate change depending on your location, which is a bit different from the behind-the-back point-of-view employed in the newer games of the series. At any rate, those familiar with the "old school" Resident Evil will have no trouble adjusting here and neither will new fans, due to the modernized intuitive control scheme added to the collection. The atmosphere of both of the games is very thick, giving gamers an absorbing and sometimes heart-racing experience that is a delight ... at least, if you're into that sort of thing. The graphics, despite being from games originally released over a decade ago, are exceptional and the remastering job done on Origins is spot-on. Sure, the visuals aren't going to look quite as nice as in a game like Bloodborne but, considering the age of both of the titles contained here, they are actually quite impressive and immersive, moreso than you may think.Overall, I recommend Resident Evil Origins highly to anyone interested in the series at large or horror video games in general. The atmosphere present is awesome, the gameplay and puzzles are intelligent and the experience is one that isn't easy to walk away from. All-in-all, these games are memorable and are worth more than just one playthrough each. Enter the survival horror, indeed.

[Rewarded Review] An excellent update to two excellent games!
7 February 2016

I was very excited when this was announced because I'm a huge Resident Evil fan. I was going to buy it anyway, but read some reviews online for Resident Evil just to see how the port to current generation had gone. They were favourable and, since I own both games on Wii, I pre-ordered it and am not disappointed at all. The control schemes have been updated and work very well with the Xbox One controller and are much easier to use than the original releases for Gamecube or Wii. The in-game and movie graphics have been spruced up and look great at 1080p and run smoothly. The sound and music are excellent and faithful to the original releases. Each game has a collection of achievements to earn with varying degrees of difficulty. Also, Resident Evil 0 has the new Wesker Mode, which allows you to play as Albert Wesker! All in all, this pair of re-releases is well worth the $40 price point or $32 for Gamer's Club Unlocked members.

[Rewarded Review] The Epitome of Survival-Horror

If you've never experienced 2002's Resident Evil for Nintendo GameCube or Resident Evil 0, you have skipped out on two of the better survival-horror games ever released. Directional controls can be made relative to the camera rather than to the character. Controls relative to the character's point-of-view could confuse some players, so this addition may be welcome for some. This, of course, can be faulty when perpetually moving through a space such as a corridor and the camera changes--the direction you are pressing may now be different than what you're moving. When this happens, a stutter or stop in movement will reset the directional control, which may be slightly irritating at times.Though these are much older games, I personally feel that they're worth the price tag.
