Great Skate Fast with easy effort.. Great skate for Fitness, Light Weight and breathable.. Just getting back into skating after 12yr absence.. Great Skate to recapture love of Skating.. Looking forward to testing these all over Europe..
I'm a beginner, skating just 2 months. Nice skate. Using it almost everyday for 7-8 km. Planning to do the Berlin marathon with this skate this year.
My feet measured 273mm which seemed to suggest maybe the 9.5, but they were too small and my toes hit the end. Switched to size 10 and they fit much better. Due to seasonal smoke in the area I don't have a lot of miles on them yet (only about 5 so far) but these skates seem comfortable and reasonably fast. I chose the 90s because I wanted larger wheels, but I didn't want to get into triskates, I wanted something better for small bumps than my old Rollerblade CoolBlades (from 1994/95?) with worn out 76mm wheels, and these are a noticable improvement. The pull-string laces and velcro overlap in a weird way at the ankle (you have to tighten the pull string first), and there is an elastic loop on the skate tongue you can stuff the string into so it isn't flopping ... MoreMy feet measured 273mm which seemed to suggest maybe the 9.5, but they were too small and my toes hit the end. These Rollerblade Macroblade skates are comfy and extremely smooth. What a difference nice adult rollerblades make compared to those kid rollerblades I used to buy 10 years ago
So it's January in the Great Plains, so I haven't had a good day yet to use them outside of my hardwood floors. But they definitely feel good and seem well-constructed, as expected. My daughter has taken-up Rollerblading and I was going to skate with her, until my early 90's Cool Blades plastic housing busted. I think I got my life out of them! Looking forward to getting out with these. Oh, and I ordered my shoe size, which is snug but seems right, with the amount of space called for between the tips of my toes and the end of the insert. The measurement chart I've seen (in cm) was off, suggesting a size smaller. Glad I stuck with my shoe size.
First thing I did was switch out wheels and bearings. Wheels upgraded to 88a(hardness) and ILQ9 bearings. Comfortable with double socks, cause RB run wide.15 years of blading, this is my 6th pair of RB and second pair of MacroBlade 90's, almost an everyday sk8er.
