I bought this TV just over a month ago. Overall the TV is great, picture quality it’s perfect for movies/gaming, it does the job and I didn’t have to spend $1-2k.The issue I have with it is that if the TV is off but plugged into power, it will make a continuous “popping/tapping” sound, and no, it is not from the materials expanding/contracting. I have read about potential causes but have been unable to get in touch with anyone from Samsung as their customer service / online chat support never have enough agents and it disconnects me. I am also unable to find the appropriate number to call. Hopefully this issue does not cause further problems down the road/before I can get in touch with someone.

This has a stunning picture. Super clear and very defined. I even played back an old movie that I thought looked better on this TV than it did in the theatre. Wow.I liked the two USB ports, and the mic built into the solar powered remote control. What I didn't like - I can't seem to get the timeshift to work. It won't pause live TV like my old roku. I tried using several different kinds of thumbdrives and external drives, but it just didn't take.I also didn't like that I could not get two of my favorite apps - History Vault and AMC+. But I can get those in the bedroom on another tv so all's not lost, but I really do love the picture on this Samsung. As George T would say "Ohhh Wowww!"

Had the TV for about 6 days now and each day, seemingly randomly, a thick black line appears down the screen and I have to switch the TV off and on again (sometimes multiple times) to make it go away. Contacted support to get it sorted out, but they currently believe since that is happening while watching TV using my Freesat box, it is likely the issue is from the Freesat box (note, I only watch TV using the Freesat box) - I need to prove to them that the issue happens when watching from the TV smart hub. They suggested I do this by unplugging all external devices and watch TV only through the smart hub until the issue happens again. I can take comfort in the fact that I've seen that black line every day, so I probably won't go too long without using my external ... MoreHad the TV for about 6 days now and each day, seemingly randomly, a thick black line appears down the screen and I have to switch the TV off and on again (sometimes multiple times) to make it go away. This TV is garbage. I bought it brand new in August 2021. By July 2022 (a month before the year warranty ran out) the screen had dark clouds raining down the screen and forcing the TV to reset. You can not do a factory reset either as the black clouds/reset gets in the way before you can complete. I got the screen replaced (the warranty on the replacement was only 90 days). Now here we are March 2023 and the replacement screen is doing the exact same thing. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF TRASH. I will never buy a Samsung TV again in my life. I'd rather take a chance on a cheaper TV than risk losing more money on this garbage.
I bought this TV almost a month ago, and haven't looked back! I was impressed by the ease of setup, I was literally watching TV within 5 minutes of unboxing. The hardware features of this TV are elegant, no screw drivers or other tools to attach the legs, it all clips together intuitively, and all you need to do after that is connect the power, internet, and antenna cables. From that point on all instructions appear on screen and are again; intuitive and easy to follow. The remote is sleek and easy to use with impressive functionality. It has everything I was used to from my previous TV, and the new features I needed to learn were quick and easy to pick up. It has everything I was used to from my previous TV, and the new features I needed to learn were quick and easy to pick up. One particular impressive function from the remote is how easy it is to program TV shows ahead of time. The process is simple, easy and best of all you can switch to another station while you wait and when it is time for your program, the TV switches to the right station automatically, with a minute or so before it starts. However, the most impressive aspect of the remote is that it has voice recognition functionality. You can easily connect with whatever voice recognition system you have set up; in my case Google Home. The picture quality is amazing, the best in a TV I have ever seen, to the point I went back to re-watch my favorite shows and movies to experience them again in the high resolution picture quality that the AU8000 delivers. The AU8000 came with all all my favorite streaming apps built in. You simply log in to your account on screen and you a ready to view. The AU8000 links to the Samsung app store which gives assurances that there will be ongoing updates, apps and firmware support, which is a feature that my previous TV frustratingly lacked. The AU8000 features 1 component, 2 HDMI and 2 USB ports, and you can easily cast from a device, even when the TV is off. It will power on and switch to the correct input automatically so you can watch straight away. To sum up, I literally can not find something that I dislike about this TV. It has blown my expectations out of the water at every turn, and I also can't believe the price! I paid $1089 through The Good Guys Discount Warehouse which was less than the best advertised price I'd researched by about $100. I was advised to buy this TV by a good friend who had recently purchased a Samsung, and I couldn't happier. I would and will definitely recommend this TV to a friend. Excellent product!
I found this TV to be very disappointing. The picture is good but no better than other comparable brands. The sound is tinny and very poor quality, no doubt designed to get you to buy a sound bar. Even adjusting the equaliser makes little difference to the poor sound. The worst feature of this TV is the remote control. It is supposed to be a "smart" remote. Nothing could be further from reality. To change anything requires navigating through layers of menu. To just change a channel requires menu navigation and multiple button presses. This remote is without doubt the worst designed remote control that I have ever experienced. This TV should include a full function remote control as standard. I feel that I have wasted my money. Never a Samsung TV again.
Overall good tv. Clear and no issues with quality. One major reoccurring issue I have been having. Occasionally(couple times a week) I’ll turn on to watch satellite tv and the image will be black. Sound works fine and the satellite menu works fine just the tv show picture does not appear. Turning it off/on several times fixes it or switching to Netflix and then back to Satellite will fix it. But only temporary as it happens again in a couple days. All cables I changed so it narrows it down the the issue with the tv. I would exchange for a new one but lost the receipt.
I've only had this TV a few days. The reviews were excellent, and now I've got it working more or less properly it looks very nice. But the setup was no fun at all. I chose to do it using my phone, something went wrong in the middle of the process and it took me a long time to straighten things out. I was forced to register with a gmail account, which I really did not want.to do. Figuring out which HDMI ports to use for my srrvice provider's device and my Roku sound device was a pain. Why was there no diagram of the connections in the setup documents? I find that switching sources from Roku to television takes too many stepsAlso. Why do I have to select the source every time I turn the TV on? After several days I still haven't figured out how to switch channels ... MoreI've only had this TV a few days. Why do I have to select the source every time I turn the TV on? After several days I still haven't figured out how to switch channels and do it instead with my service provider's remote. But that means I have to have 2 remotes always at hand. The Samsung remote is too small and finicky. I'm thinking of buying a universal remote from Walmart with number buttons and more. The user manual is too small to answer any of the questions I have. I've had to go through all sorts of third-party YouTube videos looking for help.As you can see, getting started has not been a pleasant experience. In time, after I figure out how to make things work better, I am sure I will be much happier with my new Samsung TV.
I don't normally write reviews but this TV has been the one that broke the camels back.WORST TV EVER... DO NOT BUY!!! I have had this TV for nearly 2 months and I am on my third faulty screen, due to be replaced AGAIN in a few weeks so make that 4.I would give this product ZERO stars if I could.Apparently this is a flagship TV and one that doesn't have any issues with it. That's laughable to be honest. I am extremely upset that I have bought the 75 inch TV which my family have not been able to enjoy for 1 night since purchasing. What is even more upsetting is that after calling Samsung complaints department all they could do is apologise and say my feedback and complaint would given internally. Apparently NO ONE would contact me back via phone or email to ... MoreI don't normally write reviews but this TV has been the one that broke the camels back.WORST TV EVER... DO NOT BUY!!! Very nice TV at a reasonable price. A couple of suggestions for improvements. The setup was too long and annoying with all the sign-ins, passwords, running to my computer to get a code to enter on the TV, and so on. I actually returned a competitor's TV out of frustration with the setup before buying the Samsung and deciding to stick it out. Also, I do not like the remote. Instead of providing enough keys, it uses.a key for multiple functions. Confusing and annoying. The Samsung channels are, for me, a waste. Lastly, something that puzzles me -- sometimes I turn to a program, maybe on a sports channel, and get a notification that by clicking and going to another channel I can see it in hi-def, but I don't see any difference.
