I've been using Samsung phones since the galaxy S2 and never had a major problem I couldn't fix with all my Samsung phones. I purchased the S21 Ultra in February 2021 and it worked fine apart from aggressively closing apps like Spotify and YouTube music but hey I can live with that. However, since updating to ONE UI 5 I can't believe how terrible it has become overnight. The connectivity issues I have with this phone is the worst I've seen in any smartphone. I've patiently carried out all the trouble shooting steps and there has been no improvement. I also have a Galaxy A52's for work which runs rings around my more expensive S21 Ultra. Reporting error reports via the members app for the last month has been pointless. I know a lot of Samsung user can't wait for the ... I know a lot of Samsung user can't wait for the new ONE UI 5 update but don't be in a rush as this can ruin your smartphone experience as there is very little help once your expensive device becomes a dumb phone. Now looking at the Google Pixel and Nothing Phone line ups which almost seems like a downgrade to me. Will have to sell all the accessories that I've bought (watch, buds pro etc). Feels like I'm slowly being pushed to the IOS darkside. I've laughed at iOS users for so many years but see no other phone manufacturer that could supply a satisfactory aftercare support.

The s21 ultra starts off great but after some time with the device you will come to realise it's shortcomingsThe most awful and in fact dangerous part is the software. The phone repeatedly dials emergency services if left in your pocket. I've been forced to disable tap to wake as if you leave it on, the phone will attempt to unlock itself with the pin, but on the same page there is a dail emergency services number. There's no way to disable this feature which is an absolute disgrace and is causing potential loss of life!!The software is bloated, it often feels like Google and Samsung are often fighting for my attention and information, Wallet, passwords, app store, clock, calculator, bixby, messages and more. Compared to my S9, the 21 just does not feel like a premium product.I'm also very unhappy that there's no headphone jack, I'm a musician so I have good wired headphones - I'm not going to buy inferior Bluetooth replacements. I also use the jack to connect to my wired kitchen system when cooking, I spend a lot of time in the kitchen so this is a problem, again I'm not about to buy a Bluetooth dongle just for this system.I'm not happy with the fingerprint sensor, even though I'm used to the position it fails to read my finger too often, especially when cold and since I work outside and my phone is linked to my payment device, it's a problem - the dedicated sensor on the back of the S9 was much better and could be accessed with one hand while picking the phone up. ... I owned the very first iPhone upon release and obviously that was revolutionary. I've been with apple for years after and the final model I bought was the iPhone X. I really enjoyed apple but that was only because I hadn't tried Samsung. Upon visiting Thailand, I was mugged and lost my iPhone which is when I decided to buy a cheap Samsung to get me through my holiday. Little did I know, that mugging was the best thing that could've happened to me. I will NEVER go back to apple now, Samsung just blow them out the water. The main key for me, is the unrestricted use of 3rd party apps which apple just won't allow you to do. "If I buy a phone and spend good money on it, I want to be able to do what 'I' want, not what the manufacturer will allow".Then there's the ... The camera for example and it's zoom with digital enhancements are mind blowing. "How do Samsung cram all this power in such a sleek, slim, beautiful handset. I have the S21 ULTRA now, and this is the first time in my whole life where I do not long or wish for another phone, even an upgraded one such as the S22. I am deeply satisfied with my 21 and guard it with my life.SAMSUNG..... YOU ROCK!!!
I bought the S21 Ultra with 16G of Ram thinking this will be very very fast, well its not at least not as fast as I thought having 16G of Ram would be like.I noticed that this phone comes "FULLY" LOADED" with apps and most are not unstillable.I can't seem to Uninstall or Stop a lot of apps, most I don't use. Coming from LG where I knew where everything was and having more control over what was on my phone I am very disapointed that this phone comes so Fully Loaded with what I call Bloat Ware and Worthless Apps at least to me, and sense I paid $1400 for this phone so I could buy an UNLOCKED phone and not be tide to any carrier Samsung just loaded with what appears every app they have. I am also learning about power. How fast I could charge this phone if used the ... I am also learning about power. How fast I could charge this phone if used the correct charger and cable, (this phone) does not come with a charger just a very short 1 foot cable. I purchased the 25 watt charger but that did not come with the cable and the cable that came with the phone would not work with the charger, kind of sounds like Apple and their cable/blocks issues. Im charging now from QC3 that is suppose to charge at over 18 Watts but my phone takes over an hour from 15% NOT IMPRESSED! I waited for this phone for over 6 months, I did not want the 12G Ram I figured this is my 1st $1400 phone and hopefully my last. and I wanted the Max Out phone. Having to purchase the S-Pen separately I found that Amazon has a Samsung store and where Samsung.com takes weeks to send you item Amazon was able to deliver my S-Pen before my phone arrived. Honestly I am not "Happy" with this phone, I used it for two weeks and wish I would have not bought this phone. I just could not see buying a cheaper phone and not getting the 16G of Ram. What I do not understand is how this phone has a SIM card port but not an SD Card Port. Even though I have 512G of space having an SD Card makes it easier to transfer files and a second location as a back up. (Cloud only works when you have good enough signal)I do not believe this phone is worth any where near the $1400 price tag. I would have much rather have my phone delivered with ONLY the minimum app that the phone requires to turn on and "work" allow me the one who spent $1400 on this phone to decide what apps I want, Give me a phone with ZERO Bloat Ware and what REALLY Upsets me is the fact this $1400 phone does not have Screen Loop which my $300 LG phone does have and once your use to it you want it.
The performance should have been a lot better than what I have got. The UI seems to lag quite frequently especially when you first start up the phone and I don't just been when you wake it up after shutting it down. I mean waking it from standby. Exiting apps is extremely and concerningly choppy at times but most of the time, the UI does remain smooth. It drops to 60hz more than I would like so performance is very underwhelming. The battery life has been nothing special but good enough that I can kill it in a day but most of the time, it will last about 4-5 hours of screen on time. The cameras have been extremely good for me (including video) but I would have preferred a slightly better night mode quality but it is better than what you pay for. One UI is nicely ... One UI is nicely layed out and I like it. The display is excellent although the talk aspect ratio does bug me when watching 16:9 videos. Overall, it is a great phone which has been bottlenecked by a lacklustre chip or whatever is causing this lag that I see way more often than I should.
The S21 Ultra is a good phone for the most part!Pros: Great camera which takes crystal clear photos and offers various editing features. It even has this multi-take feature where it takes multiple pics during a session just like a photo shoot! The storage capacity of the phone is fantastic, edpecially if you're a person with lots of pictures, documents and videos on your phone. I use lots of Bible-based videos in my ministry, so this phone meets my needs very well with storage capacity and clarity of videos. The phone is quite customizable. Various themes are made available at no cost regarding the interface of the phone.Aesthetically speaking, the S21 Ultra is very sleek and pleasing to the eye. Tons of cases available out there for the phone as well...I should know I have 16 of them...Features on the phone function swiftly and seamlessly as well.Con: Over time the battery life of the phone has become increasingly less. Even while using battery saver mode, the battery life drains way too fast.Other than the battery life drainage being a little disappointing, the phone is overall a great device. It is my mini pocket assistant!
Speaking to friends and family, who upgraded to Galaxy S22 ultra. Testing and comparing it to the Galaxy S21 Ultra. I found the S21 alot more solid and more comfortable to hold. Although the S22 is an upgrade, i felt that the S21 Ultra held its own next to it. Even the shape the way the camera was housed, on the S21 Ultra. I found it more of an attractive device. I loved the graphite grey colour which i had to wait a while before receiving it. The S21 Ultra has been a reliable and strong device, never had any issues with. But its been a few years, so I had treated myself to the S23 Ultra! Also the fact that it has the new Snap dragon chip for the first time in a UK device. Roll on 13/02/2023.
I bought this phone over a year ago brand new. It keeps freezing and restarting. It happens at least a few times a day, sometimes more. To be honest the camera is the only good thing about this phone. Performance wise, it sucks. I am in the middle of scrolling through an app or using Google maps and out of it just freezes and I have to wait for it to reboot to start resume what I was doing. This is not an uncommon issue with this device. I have read online hundreds of testimonials of people reporting the same thing, so I know it's not just my device. Samsung refuses to replace the phone. Overall it's a mediocre phone if I can't use it since it always crashes.
As a person who has been using the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra for nearly three and a half years now, I would say that this is undoubtedly one of the best mobile phones I have ever used. Although the mobile phone is simply designed in plain black, it somehow gives me a sense of luxury while I am holding it. The mobile phone offers an abundance of features to choose from, from a variety of camera modes to additional features like automatically correcting ungrammatical sentences, which help in my daily life as well as my studies a lot more conveniently. Moreover, despite opening lots of apps or tabs at the same time, its performance remains incredibly smooth without any gaps or problems emerging. Another admirable thing about this mobile phone is the durability of its battery. I can conveniently use it for two days without charging, and it only takes around 40 minutes to fully charge the mobile phone in case it runs off the battery. However, despite having lots of pros, there are some cons as well, since the mobile phone is quite pricy. So, you need to consider this carefully before purchasing. Also, the mobile phone itself is a bit large and quite slippery. I would then suggest you buy a case and always keep it inside your bag or pocket as there is a high risk that it may get lost or drop out somewhere if you are walking while holding it. Overall, I think the mobile phone is indeed worth buying, and I highly recommend it to those who work as technicians or in the studio. Even though the price is a bit high, I guarantee that you will enjoy using it!
