I found this website while googling where I could find Science Slective for My rats and I loved that they have auto shipments and shipping is pretty fast! now I don’t have to worry about their food being out of stock! I have a rattery and this is the only food, I have tried that does not go to waste. All of my animals love it and are thriving on the Selective Science brand food. Small Pet Select has the best price that I have found and they are excellent about fast delivery. I have recommended to other pet owners both the brand food and the this company for purchasing.

This food is one of the better rat foods that we have in the UK. It's got a lot of good nutrients in it for rats and my boys love this stuff! Although I do highly recommend using the Shunamite Diet for rats as that has the best nutrients for them, but this food I highly recommend if you're unable to make or purchase the shunamite diet :)

We had used another major brand of food for quite a while, when I noticed that my girls didn't seem to be eating it as much as normal, so I decided to try Science Selective. They took it out of my hands like they grab treats, and we haven't looked back! They are happy, healthy, and love their Science Selective!! :)
I've been ordering this food for my rats forever and I loved how the back could sit upright and look good stored away, and also you could zip it back up. With the new packaging, it does not have a zipper. This means bug infestations and the food going stale very quickly. Not only that, but now it's advertised to both rats and mice and anyone who has these animals and does research knows that they don't eat all the same things and require different levels of nutrition. Please change it back. I would hate to get my rat blocks elsewhere....
Just wish the manufacturer made it in bigger bags for breeders and multi-rat households! My rats prefer this brand over any other food. Have spoken with the manufacturer about making a 20 Lb. bag and selling it through a major distributor here in the US. So far have not gotten any updates as to whether they will do it.I have been buying Oxbow in the meantime so that I can afford to feed the number of rats I have, although that has fish oil in it which my rats don't really like even though it looks similar to this food.
I've tried other brands, but this one is the keeper. They love the flavor and nicely holdable shape. I love that this food is very tidy which avoids any attraction of unwanted bug critters, which we have plenty of out here in the Mojave Desert. I love that they love this food!
Since Covid ive really struggled to find rat food, I had to start making my own mixes but I dont think my rats were getting enough nutrients so they started balding. When I noticed this I had to change their diets. They've stopped balding and they love this food. Wish it were bigger for the price though.
Our 2 new little mice love the food, they are growing well on their new food. No selective picking out certain favourite foods from the mix packet brands, all the goodness in triangular "kibble" form-easy for them to hold. At first I thought the kibble was going to be too large for the little mice to eat but they have no trouble devouring all their food, waiting for more.Very happy with this product.
So, I was trying to switch my rats from Oxbow because it was difficult to find the larger bags and to be honest, they didn't exactly get excited about it. They get fresh fruits and veggies, but kibble or lab blocks are supposed to be the main portion of their diet. I did some research and found this recommended in one of the rat groups that I belong to. I switched them gradually and they seem to really enjoy it. I have noticed that their coats are softer and shinier as well. The new babies seem to REALLY like it and I like that there is no sugar in it. Rats can become sugar junkies so quickly. The pic is of one of the new babies (Jethro) having a piece of this food. I gave the taste 5 stars since they eat it, not that I've tried it lol.
