Scienceinsport Beta Fuel + Nootropics - 30 Pack

The Beta Fuel with Nootropics combines Science in Sports revolutionary Beta Fuel energy gel with added Cognizin Citicoline, optimising, not only, your physical performance, but your mental performance as well. Science in Sport’s Beta Fuel utilises a unique 1: 0.8 ratio of maltodextrin to fructose, which increases the percentage of ingested carbohydrate that is oxidised (known as efficiency). This 1: 0.8 ratio of the 40g of carbohydrate, per gel, limits gastrointestinal discomfort to deliver a scientifically superior fuel. The added Nootropics are supplements, such as Cognizin Citicoline, which have been added to improve cognitive performance. This added component boosts your attention, focus, creativity, motivation, memory and more. Directions for Use Consume during prolonged endurance exercise to your fuelling requirements. For optimal results, it is recommended that you consume the Beta Fuel with Nootropics Gels during the latter phases of your exercise. Do not exceed 1 serving per day.

ABSOLUTE FAVORITE SPECIAL WEAPON

This is so good. Choose wisely when to take it, considering you should only take one of these a day. But what a boost. Total caffeine, taurine, extra concentration and boost. I use this in key moments of racing. Easy to take, mega carb ammount, total special weapon, my absolute favorite. Super hyper recommend. All other SIS gels are great too but this one is a great complementation to your sis fueling strategy.

Decent taste, but caffeine content is too high to use regularly

I enjoyed the apple flavor, and although there was a slight bitter aftertaste from the caffeine, it's really not as bad as the other reviewers make it sound. Overall it still tastes a lot better than many other brands. The texture is the same as the non-caffeinated SiS Beta Fuel gels. And I did not experience any GI issues, which is good.In terms of the caffeine, I think that 200mg is too much for one gel, I would prefer to have gels with less caffeine so that I can take them more frequently during my run, rather than a large dose all at once like this. I prefer the 75mg per gel in the regular SiS gels. And in terms of the other nootropics, I did not notice any effects from those, I felt the same as if I had taken a gel with caffeine only.Overall I am satisfied ... MoreI enjoyed the apple flavor, and although there was a slight bitter aftertaste from the caffeine, it's really not as bad as the other reviewers make it sound. Does what it says, but don’t take on a short run to test.

I didn’t find it as bitter as the other SiS caffeine gel, in fact the taste was quite pleasant. It’s also powerful. I decided to test it before a long race or a long run one morning half way though a 15k. It’s like rocket fuel and was a little jacked driving home as the caffeine was still burning strong along with everything else. It was fun until my teeth became snakes. So, yah, use on a looooooong run or ride to test.

Energy Booster
30 December 2023

I saved my first dose of this product for a big ride in the Smokies. With an early start in the dark, I took this as my breakfast before riding 12 miles to the start of my climb. The taste is great, better than the Strawberry lemonade Beta Fuels. I climbed for about 13miles at about 5.5%. Had some other fuel with me but energy levels were high the whole time. I like to have a big boost of caffeine for longer or hard rides and this fits the bill without a crazy crash of energy later.

Fuel to counter ultra brain
15 December 2023

This was a really important factor in a recent race where I was pacing. The course was a train wreck after a torrential rain and we were out there WAY. Longer than anticipated. In the darkest hours of night when brain was at the lowest (16hrs in for me, 35 for my runner ) I took the nootropic version of the SiS gel and it pushed me on.The taste isn’t fantastic. They definitely are bitter in comparison to regular SiS. But it was worth it. I felt more awake and in better shape to keep us safe.

Good Boost/Awful Taste
26 February 2023

I love the the regular SIS Beta fuel gels and wanted to give these a try because of the caffeine content. They definitely give you a boost, but they taste awful. Masking the taste of caffeine is incredibly hard (most gels and chews will have a slight bitterness to them) so I would recommend having a chaser for these. There are better tasting caffeine containing gels, but I don't know many with this amount of caffeine in them. If your super sensitive to flavors then I'd probably avoid these, but if you have an iron stomach then you can probably get past the flavor and get the amazing energy boost these provide.

Great to finish off long efforts
19 April 2024

Another fantastic product from SIS. I use these gels towards the end of key long runs and races. As stated, the the added Nootropics aid in maintaining focus and mindfulness when the all you want to do is quit or slow your effort. Even though the caffeine content is way up there (200mg) it felt smooth and I didn’t get jittery (I am not a coffee drinker).Highly recommend.

Oh Yeah!
15 November 2023

Could totally be the placebo of a gel working better for longer aerobic activities, but I swapped out my usual Maurten 160 on my 2hr ride for this, and felt like I was just getting stronger up climbs as I went. Am quite impressed and will order more! The taste was not "totally" my favorite part, but honestly, I'm more of a "does it do what it says" over "it has to taste good" kind of guy. I'm a lover not a fighter, basically, and if you're looking for a long-course fueling gel, I'd stack this right up with Precision and Maurten.

Power good fuel
10 June 2024

In the heart of the race, your own personalPR or looking for the perfect fuel for your ride of the year I have found SiS beta fuel to be an excellent choice. A high carb mix that does not upset my system even in 4 - 8 hour events. The high carbs in each packet is much more efficient then carry lower carb foods. Less bulk, less trash to carry ( please do not leave your empty jell packs on the trail).

Purposeful Nutrition

If you’re taking this gel it’s because of the nootropics and not because of the carb count. SIS makes a beta fuel gel that is very similar if your aim is 40g carb. That being said, the apple taste is not as sweet as the standard apple isotonic gel. However, the powerful nootropic Cognizin Citicoline is the main benefit here and it is real. I feel more alert and aware when I take this gel. The caffeine boost is an added bonus. If you’re looking for a mental edge to power through when the going gets tough, this is it!
