Budget doesn’t sacrifice quality Placed well on the lower key end of the Shimano shoe range, the RC100 is perfect for those wanting a quality shoe at a reasonable price. Ideal entry level shoe These entry level RC100 shoes utilise an effective triple hook and loop closer strap. With their lesser features, they come in better in the weight game than the high spec S-Phyre range. In short, they have everything you need to get going on the bike in a comfortable and reliable shoe.

Appearance:Looks superbQuality:Looks durableSuitability:Fits perfectlyTried to go for a 60km ride to test it before rating. It was very light which I like. In terms of comfort, very satisfactory. Seller sent pictures of the product before shipping and shipping itself is fast. Great work!

I did plenty of research for a useable, all-velcro road shoe - Sigma's website was easy to use and quickly showed me what sizes were available and in which colour. I ordered online for my usual size, which arrived in no time - unfortunately they were a tad too small - Sigma told me Shimanos size their shoes slightly smaller - so immediately they ordered another pair for me one size up - they arrived soon too, and the fit was perfect. I know these RC1s are probably at the bottom of the shoe ladder, but Sigma still gave me top notch service!

Good looking shoes at a reasonable price. Havent tried them on the bike yet, but all cleated up and ready to go. The sizing up is important. I am normally a size 9 shoe, size 9 1/2 or 10 trainer but the 45s are a snug fit. Dont think Id have fitted into a 44.

These are my first cycling shoes and really happy with them. I've paired these with LOOK KEO Classic 3 Cleats. I've been able to walk, albeit short distances and slowly, wearing them and they're very sturdy. Clip in/clip out is great but probably more related to the cleats and pedals over the shoes. However, I did find the UK11 to be on the tight side. I know these shoes are meant to be a bit tight but I do have to really pull the velcro straps to get them to engage. I probably have fat feet which is contributing to this. Would highly recommend trying some in store first, or ordering a size up in addition to your normal size just to check.I haven't fallen over yet, but that time is sure to come.
Got these to replace some old Shimano shoes. Overall they are decent but the velcro straps have limited ability to tighten so if you like to have the straps very tight, i'd look for a model with something other than velcro straps. They have decent ventilation. This is only my second pair of road bike shoes but it is SUPER easy to roll your ankle in these with the heel design when walking. I would no repurchase this model. Maybe all road bike shoes are like this but my last pair was not like this. You just have to be careful when walking.
I've worn size 45 for years in different brands and styles of shoes. Even off-brand Chinese shoes. I ordered size 45 and they were almost 1/2 inch shorter than my present pair. My toes were touching the end of the shoe, and they were slightly narrower as well. Competetive Cyclist should have a disclaimer on the description of these shoes warning that they run small.I ordered Size 46 as a replacement, I hope they are big enough. On the plus side, these shoes seem to be well-made with a stiff sole, and they are lightweight.
Perhaps not as fancy as some, but a good beginner/enthusiast-level shoe at a good price point. I've put a few thousand miles into these with no issues whatsoever. Comfortable enough for an imperial century, as long as I don't velcro them too tight - which is my problem, not the shoe's. The velcro straps work as they should, no rubbing spots, and firm enough for legs/power on the other side of 40 years of age. And, good enough for me to purchase a second pair just for my pain cave.
