Semi-matte finish for a natural look, and the longer you wear, the more natural it becomes. Suitable for combination skin. However, it needs to apply pressed powder more often if compared to Makeup Forever HD skin foundation. MUF tends to stay more matte than SU. SU looks more natural then MUF.

I don’t like it

I watch some reviews from xiaohongshu and they said this is good for oily skin and estee lauder’s DW is good for dry skin. I have oily skin but this is too drying? I have Estée and it’s perfect for me. I bought shu to try too but it disappoints. It dries up instantly before I spread around the face. It leaves a mark when touched and it’s not lasting. My whole foundation feels like it’s almost gone by 2 hours in the day. I bought 574 and it’s still too dark for me, they didn’t allow to try in store anymore due to covid. How would I know what colours suits me?!

It's nice

Although the color is a bit light for my skin, it doesn't feel fake because the tone is matching. All the korean foundation are too light for my skin and european/american brands don't have my tone. This is my favorite foundation I have so far. It gets dry easily so apply quickly. It stays on you throughout the day

OMG finally found my holy grail foundation for oily skin

I have been searching for oil controlling, non comedogenic foundation for my oily combination and acne prone skin. After trying this foundation with Nars light reflection foundation for half face comparison, the results was distinct. For the side with Shu Uemura foundation, my face remains shine free while the side with Nars foundation was very shiny after a few hours of wear. I pair it with Laura Mercier loose powder and Sephora setting spray, I didn't need to do a lot of blotting throughout the day. The foundation shade matches my skin tone of my neck better than my Nars foundation in Mont Blanc (it was tad bit pinkish compared to my neck but was a perfect match for my face, my skin tone on my face is more rosy while my neck has slight yellowish warm tone). Have bought this foundation countless time, love it! It's lightweight yes oil controlling at the same time. Not the best coverage, but love its lightweight formula.

I've used much more expensive cream foundation which is better than this product (luminous and healthy natural skin effect) . the product works well but don't have the wow factor for me. it does correct the skin tone but don't have a transformational effect. but the price point is much more reasonable than other brands so I think it's still worth buying for everyday use

best foundation used so far

I am dry skin, and this foundation is the best foundation I have tried so far. The foundation don't oxidize very quickly, it can last for at least half a day. After oxidized, it looked so natural on my skin. ( other foundation if oxidized will make you look dull.) the coverage of this foundation is fairly good for it's natural look! I think the coverage is better than the NARS(小方瓶) and MUF reboot! definitely will purchase again!
