I have tried a variety of joint supplements and this product from Solgar seems to be the only one that works for my knees.I have had knee pain for years and had a medical operation a couple of years ago. Someone I know with a similar condition recommended this product.I bought both this regular one and the triple strength one, I started with triple strength, after taking the pills for a week or so, I do see the improvement on my joints. I no longer feel the pain when it rains and I am able to walk longer distances without feeling burdened.Package was good and the delivery was very prompt.

Excellent! Works great for my knee.

Excellent! Works great for my knee. I buy it on a regular basis. Trying to test different brands. Solgar is one of my favorites.

Glucosamine comes in two major forms, glucosamine sulfate and glucosamine HCl (Hydrochloride). Some say that the sulfated form is better because it adds sulfur while others say that both forms have similar bioavailability of glucosamine. If you are reviewing the research on this, you will see that older research studies, especially in the USA favored the sulfated form which was more readily available while recent research from Europe has found no discernible difference between the two. This pill is combined with MSM which contains a biologically active form of sulfur making it a potent sulfur donor negating the need for extra sulfur from glucosamine sulfate.Glucosamine is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture from the air which leads to breakdown of the ... MoreGlucosamine comes in two major forms, glucosamine sulfate and glucosamine HCl (Hydrochloride). This pill is combined with MSM which contains a biologically active form of sulfur making it a potent sulfur donor negating the need for extra sulfur from glucosamine sulfate.Glucosamine is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture from the air which leads to breakdown of the glucosamine molecule therefore, a pure glucosamine tablet would have little therapeutic effect without the addition of the sulfate or HCl stabilizers.Glucosamine sulfate tablets need to be additionally stabilized using either sodium chloride (NaCl) or potassium chloride (KCl) (up to 30% by weight) while glucosamine HCl tablets do not require any stabilizing salts. The sulfated form is sourced from shellfish and typically contains around 75% glucosamine while the HCl form is more naturally stable, doesn't require preservatives, is sourced from plants and typically contains around 83% glucosamine. This product is an enteric coated tablet which protects against moisture and releases the nutrients in the small intestine where absorption occurs. A few studies found that the enteric coated tablet form which would protect the glucosamine from the acids in the stomach had a greater therapeutic outcome. This seems to work better than the other forms I have tried in the past, your mileage may differ.I hope this additional information was helpful and informative.Art

Good product, underwhelming packaging
4 May 2022

I started taking these after being put on an anti-acne medication. It mildly helped reduce the strain on my joints and cartilage, but I didn't like the product's packaging. Solgar's bottles aren't very travel-friendly plus the pills were a little big to swallow. I would consider looking into another brand in the future.

Great Glucosamine complex
23 January 2022

My wife is so happy i bought her these. Has helped with her joint pain (arthitic) to make it more manageable and the MSM helped with pain relief. In addition it is shellfish-free, promotes healthy joints and definitely supports comfortable movement of once sore and sensitive joints cateligeFor those who are concerned it is certified gluten free, wheat & dairy freeand suitable forvegans.

Ok

My husband has taken this with vegetarian chondroitin with no noticeable improvement in his knees. He has worn down the cartelige so maybe only an operation will help. The reason I chose this brand over others is due to the kosher certificate.
