Best Style for Lane Swimming

I haven't had these trunks long enough to comment or the 'endurance' aspect but have found that these are the most comfortable trunks to wear if you're into lane swimming (I'm currently swimming a distance of either 1.5km or 2km per session three times a week). I'd been wearing larger styled trunks for a few years, as there seemed to be a consensus that men shouldn't wear swimming briefs and so I stopped wearing them for fear of ridicule! But this year I decided to ignore what anyone might think (isn't that body shaming?) and have reverted to wearing this style and, as already stated, have found them to be the best style for what I call 'proper' swimming (I'd probably still wear shorts on a beach though).Additional plus point. I'm finding out that I'm no longer the only guy in public wearing a swim brief. Briefs are far more practical and far more comfortable for water sports, and I'll use board shorts if I get interested in surfing. The days of experiencing snickering and hidden giggles after a man is seen wearing a swim brief in public appears to be dwindling. The American public is appearing to take on a more sophisticated and mature view toward men of any shape and size wearing swim briefs in public. So, go ahead, men, you'll find out that anyone who knows you won't consider you out of place for wearing a swim brief, and if you do, I recommend the Speedo Eco Flex for anywhere use!

Fit is fine, but short drawstring. Again.
7 November 2021

The fit is fine, maybe a bit snug, but not enough to be an issue, anyhow they tend to stretch out a little after some use, and the overall quality seems okay. My problem is the short drawstrings that make tying difficult. Seriously, there's only about three inches (7 cm) on each side. Try tying that, or when the loops come undone because there's not enough to make a full knot with loops and a pull, or trying to untie the tiny stuck knot that formed because there wasn't enough slack to make a decent knot with wet fingers. It's extremely annoying and frustrating. This is the second Speedo suit I've ordered recently that had this issue, the first time I figured it was a one-off, but this makes me think it's sloppy design or poor QC. Is Speedo trying to save money? Is Speedo trying to save money? Are they putting children's size drawstrings in adult suits? Is there any quality control at Speedo? This seemingly minor issue will make me reconsider this brand-which I have been loyal to for decades- when buying in the future.

Perfect Training Suit
11 November 2020

I love this suit and I have bought 3 already. I wear it alone, no inner suit required. I was worried because Speedo''s marketing pics make it look really huge. But I gave it a shot, and was rewarded - it is great. I like the stretchy material and the cut, which is reminiscent of the 90''s water-polo suit, or nearly horizontal line across your thigh. It fully covers butt and thighs, unlike a lot of suits today, which are really too high cut for me. After buying it in my normal size, I decided it was a bit big and went down from 32 to 30, and now find it perfect. If you are at all on the fence size wise, I would go smaller, but it is by no means drastically too big. I found the Navy variant faded pretty quickly in the pool. This is so common to virtually every suit I have ever owned and I expect to buy 3 per year. I included a comparison chart in the pics. The comparison is between this suit (in the Navy/32 variant I bought first), the Speedo Endurance+, and the TYR 4-inch nylon trainer.

Peter's Speedo's
17 October 2021

These are awesome Speedos! Great quality. Used mine in the pool and surf for easy over a few months now and are just as new. Love these so much I went and purchase 6 more (yes, 6 more pairs) for future use for pool and surf (under my boardies). I went up a size for me as I do like these a little bit loose (this is just what I like for me - I hate really 'tight' Speedos). These are cool Speedos and recommend them. I think I will invest in even some more Paris as my mates always ask where I bought these from (Rebel). I think I'll buy more pairs as I think these won't last long on the shelves. Enjoy!!

This suit LAAASSSSSSTTTTTTTSSSSSSSSSSSSS........
21 April 2023

This suit is great for lap swim use. This is my third PowerFLEX Eco solid suit. I lost weight from nearly daily swims and have improved my techniques considerably, so I downsized from a size 34 to 32. Compression is perfect, making drag and such non-existent. Waist and tie cord can be tightened so while doing laps no water can seep through the areas between the sides of the waist and the center back of the waist, which can be a problem for me while having on other suits. I killed the other two suits with chlorine and use. The elastics around the legs of the first one stretched out after doing a lot of open water swims in the summer. I still use the second one as a standby. It's still in great shape, the stitching is intact and no stretching has occurred ; the ... MoreThis suit is great for lap swim use. Too small
19 April 2023

I've been buying Speedo briefs for years and for years I've maintained the same weight and figure and the briefs have always been size 34 and they have fit me perfectly. This one felt like it was two sizes down. Also John Lewis do not offer a straight forward exchange but I have to return and order a new one. Pay for the new one, wait for refund of the one being returned. Very tedious.

VERY small
28 February 2022

I had to order these three times... 32, 34 were both too small. I like the print so then I ordered size 36, which finally fit. I swear it's not pandemic weight gain. I'm a size 31/32 in everything else from jeans to shorts. Also the returns for Swim Outlet were quite difficult around the holidays.. took forever. They seem to have streamlined the return process since then. I will not miss the incessant emails though. They need to slow down on the promo emails which pester more than my irritating ex-husband.
