This is the most difficult saw to use and I've been in the trade 30+ years . The "toe" jumps around and trying to saw to a line is virtually impossible ! Even when you have a good depth it sticks ! In fact reminds me of a gardening pruning saw. I would say go for the Irwin instead

Good push saw for deep cuts

The saw came ready to use and fit within the openings in the wood coving mite box. The Tpi was good for standard cuts, not too rough but certainly not finishing quality. Some reviewers complained the saw stuck too often, I’ve used this saw on harder woods like maple and didn’t have an issue after slightly adjusting and sharpening the teeth, based on Paul sellers general recommendations. A good deep tenon saw in general

Good saw but not a fine cut

Purchased for a specific job cutting accurate tenons in fence post wood, i.e. not cabinet making quality. Didn’t check tooth size but it is perfect for the specific use and saw is comfortable to use. Teeth are definitely sharp!

Great Saw

Not the first tenon saw I have bought in my life but definitely the best. Cuts cleanly and with ease. Stays sharp.

Great tenon saw

Quality product from Stanley at a sensible price. Used for fine cuts with a mitre box and the finish was very good.Handle is comfortable for my hands and the teeth so far have stayed sharp.

Not a fine finisher saw
12 November 2022

Marketed as a fine finish saw for use with mouldings & trim but it isn't fine finish at all, it tears at dado & picture rail leaving a terrible surface on mitered cuts that I had to file down they were so rough. Whilst it's ok a thicker pieces of wood, I would avoid it for doing trim & delicate jobs.

Tenon saw
11 October 2021

I've had one of these for about five years, its worked perfectly for a lot of jobs, I only replaced it because i foolishly stripped half the teeth off sawing through a hidden nail in some battens i was breaking down.It leaves a rough finish, if you want something that gives a fine cut look at the bahco tenon. The fixings for the grip may work loose over time but they're easily tightened with a hex key.Its a decent saw, that's why i bought another when i wrecked the old one and i probably will the next time I get careless.

Unusable, I regret this purchase
25 January 2024

I bought this saw from another seller last week to cut tenons and I find it unusable.I can begin a cut on the backstroke but as soon as I push forward the large pointy teeth dig deeply into the wood (spruce I think) and I cannot push a forward stroke. Unusable.Plus the teeth are flared and so make a straight neat tenon cut difficult. Untenable so to speak. Plus some of the shop's other stock of this saw had bent blades and snapped teeth so examine carefully before buying.Unusable, poor purchase.

Very coarse for a tenon saw
13 October 2021

This saw is not easy to use, I find it’s very “sticky” and the teeth are too long and not set well for a tenon saw... This saw is not suited to fine wood work and more for rough work. I ended up having to buy a different saw for the tenon work I wanted to do
